I was thinking the exact same thing. I am planning to use the GoPro for the video parts of my review, so maybe I will build a dolly or something out of LEGO. Thanks! Four weeks of quality time will make up for my hobbies during the rest of the year We have been looking into South Kaibab. Could very well be the one. Sorry about that I will look into Carls' Jnr. I love a proper burger!

This seems like a nice addition to the rules. A WIP topic is allowed after two weeks. And agreed on the content of the WIP. It should not be used to "reserve an idea" Milan, how about updating the rules with these two rules?

It's nowhere near finished, but I will post some stories over there. I will share the link. I will keep that in mind, thanks. I think we already planned a hike, but I am not sure which one The time lapse is pretty cool!! I have purchased a Motolapse, especially for time lapse shots.

I definitely will. We have two full days in GC, so we will do a Helicopter tour and a full hike down into the Canyon. Really looking forward to GC! Sweet! Checking them out right away... Did you actually do some "panning and shooting"? (the cab for example) Nice! Sweet pictures!! Some pretty awesome shots. For me, it's a nice impression of what's to come!

A hoist is a type of crane (imho). So a hoist is crane, but a crane isn't necessarily a hoist. Why does it matter?

Great 3600 is quite a few. I will probably end up with a similar collection. Besides shooting photos, I bringing my new GoPro, so I will venture into shooting video as well.

We have a selection of Minifigs for certain occasions, so I will be taking pictures with these figs during our trip. My girlfriend thinks this is cool too. Maybe my pictures will motivate you to do so!

Thanks. That's probably the best idea. I am carrying quite some photo/video gear, so I won't be able to bring a LEGO model to the Grand Canyon anyway.

Hmmm that's something I didn't consider! I was planning on going to the campsite first, but we will obviously don't have a means of transportation to the Canyon. Thanks for the tip!!

Antelope Canyon is definitely on our list, but we will only be in Page for a single day. We will arrive around 11:00/12:00 and leave the next day. Do you think we will have time in the afternoon to visit the Canyon?

Thanks! It does indeed feel like the trip of a lifetime. We have been looking forward to it for the past 180 days (not that I was counting) and now it's only one night away I am bringing some Minifigs to represent us during the trip. But maybe I can still bring a small set. I have quite a few unopened. Suggestions? :D

Hey guys, Like stated in the TC8 topic, I will be away for a few weeks. Tomorrow, me and Kitty (my girlfriend) will depart from Amsterdam to the West Coast of the US for a four week trip. We will start with an 18 day motorhome trip (Joshua Tree, Grand Canyon, Page, Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Las Vegas, Yosemite and HW1) followed by a few days LA and finishing it with a relaxing cruise along the coastline (between San Fransisco and Ensenada, Mexico). If you like, I can post a few pictures now and then. I originally planned to bring a Technic set and do a Review during my trip, but I figured I can better do a review at home and spend my time away from the computer. The contest is up-and-running so Milan will take care of that. I will be online sometimes, but I will minimize my online activity. So be nice and I will see you in a couple of weeks

That's true. In my experience, the more time people have the later they will start "because they still have enough time" (I for one work best with a little pressure) And by the way....why am I mingling in the discussion....Milan will decide

This is my earlier reply. The purpose of the contest is to have fun and to have a vibrant community. Seeing WIP topics is part of the fun. Maybe there's an advantage, maybe not.

Wikipedia: A hoist is a device used for lifting or lowering a load by means of a drum or lift-wheel around which rope or chain wraps. It may be manually operated, electrically or pneumatically driven and may use chain, fiber or wire rope as its lifting medium. The load is attached to the hoist by means of a lifting hook.

I also agree it's not about size. However, if more people think they need more time, we're willing to move the deadline.
