  1. I always love brickbuilt LDD mocs, I don't know why. The cottage itself is very homely, I actually like the colour changes you made, before it looked altogether too orange-ish in my opinion. I like the interior, however I think the roof would look better if you "filled out" the entire second layer of plates, right now it looks a little unfinished. Great figs + moc !
  2. Well the design itself and the UCS style sign are superb. However I feel like the colors are a bit bland, maybe if you built the supports in tan? I don't know if this is realistic, in some pictures it looks grey and others tan. Great job .
  3. The animatronics in these are quite interesting, I've never seen anything like that before . They are a bit choppy, but hey it's LEGO. The underwater scenes are nice, I like the redcoat inspecting the giant skeleton. I think if you are planning to "properly" build the frigate (without the split in the middle) it would benefit from having plain brown hull pieces, it looks a little messy/unfinished right now. Also perhaps the masts should be a little taller? I don't really know. That being said the line is great and you've inspired me to start my own . Overall it's amazing, great job . I hope to see your mocs here more often, both L'Archiveur and this are great. .
  4. Looks great now, solid heavy just like a real fortress gun . Did you mean to have the gun carriage thinner at the front? It's a nice effect. I might use a modded version of this design in the future with your permission, of course with credit.
  5. I don't think Norrington was saying that it's right/should be allowed to steal peoples work, only that it might be beneficial for people who see your moc to have a .lxf file whether to take a closer look, change, or build in real life. Nor was he forcing all LDD builders to put their .lxf's into the community (and I understand why many don't), but rather as Personally I'm happy to share my .lxf's in public, as my work is very imperfect (thus people who look at it can improve/suggest upon it and make it much better, and because often LDD builders like myself can't personally build their creation ATM so it's nice to see it in real life, even if it's not physically "there." Also Norrington Toiletseat is I believe Errorist here on the boards and he actually uploaded the file upon request in this thread
  6. Someone's army building . All I got today was one Soldier's Arsenal (8396) .
  7. Very clean, I like it. And I agree with Landshark, the poncho looks great. Nice map collection as well, I only recognize 3. Are some decaled?
  8. Too bad De Ruyter got destroyed . I think it either needs wheels or a recoil mechanism like this (by Captain Blackmoor): Also I think it would look better with tiles. Good luck!
  9. I think it's in the right forum, you just need to deeplink a picture because brickshelf isn't public yet . EDIT: That's a nice mix of Pirates/CMF/Wild West parts. Looking forward to the moc(s) .
  10. You'll be an Arch Duke in 200 days. I'd say I'm addicted, I'm on a couple hours (!) a day but I'm too lazy to post usually.
  11. Great idea, as Hinckley said NPU RCUP. The little bits of houses and trees being swept away are a nice touch .
  12. i think the curved part of the wings are way too long. In general though they're all cool and it's shaping up to be a good moc .
  13. Very very cool. The sheer amount of vegetation is amazing. It's been a while since I read the books so I don't recognize any scenes/places , but my favorite is the Research Institution. I love how with the landscape on top you can only see a few hints in the window and landing pad that there's something artificial underneath. Great work ! P.S. You should deeplink some pics, it's easier for lazy people like me to see them ,
  14. Lots of old and new techniques (to me) in there and they come together perfectly . My favorite is the fig legs for wheat. Is that your sigfig in front of the door? I have to ask, are you still planning to continue the "Tribute to America" series after Fort McHenry?
  15. Thank you Horry .
  16. I dunno if this is the right place to put it seeing as this thread seems to be about forts at the LEGO system scale/design. Anways, I was wondering what would actually be inside a (realistic) fort's walls (like in a castle there'd be stables, great hall, throne room, barracks, etc . . .). I've read through a lot of pages on different forts, but they all seem to center on the fort's history/battles/current use as opposed to interiors. Thanks!
  17. That's amazing! The scale is magnificent as well as your patience, I thought I was patient for making one with 3000 piece. The ship is a a great MOC in and of itself, you should make an uncrashed version. Great work!! I'll take a look at the LXF's after they finish opening .
  18. Great moc, I like the Death Eater "conference room" and the curved stairs the most, I always have problems with angles in LDD. Keep it up !
  19. It could be the next creator set. Good work, you should make the entire street (since they all look the same). Then you could make Dumbledore dropping off Harry, Advance Guard, etc. Keep it up, I've enjoyed all of your mocs so far .
  20. Great work. Reminds me of the Mines of Moria. I like the landscaping and all the arches and tunnel mouths in the cave, there's a really nice feeling of an old mine. Is that pack a custom piece?
  21. Wow. That's amazing, everything from the rigging to the hull! NIce to see something other than the usual frigate or man o war here. All of your moc's are truly inspiring, both in detail and techniques. Great, great work. And congrats on being frontpaged.
  22. Congrats to all the winners! I joined to late to vote, but I still enjoyed reading and looking at all the entries, many of them were quite brilliant and I learned some new techniques. Enjoy your prizes !
  23. I like it, but I think it looks too similiar to Slughorn's classroom. Maybe add some cages for the animals? Regardless it's a nice moc, and I like this classroom layout with the stairs more than the last one .
  24. I don't know why you haven't got any comments, these are great. I like the Cuirassier the most, it's instantly recoqnizable and the design of the shako is particually clever IMO. I don't quite like the use of a plate for a sword, although I don't see an alternative. I think the Roman fig could use a scutum, at first glance I thought it was a samurai. Are you planning to make a Napoleonic army with these like the TT figs ( )? I look forward to the rest !
  25. Awesome. Those shields turned out great, it's the perfect size. How many are you planning to make?
