I think it's slightly unfair that you've been getting mainly negative comments. It's a very interesting concept, with lots of potential. While the background is a bit distracting, it gives you something to improve on next time. The different heads you used on the minifigures work very well, too. I wonder what the next battle will be? (British Vs Vikings, British Vs Robots, the list is endless )

A whole sub-forum isn't necessary, but a topic/index would be very useful.

As a Castle fan, I'm very happy to hear this. But one thing I wonder about is what it contains. A bunch of Minifigures and horses won't be enough for a big set. It could contain some stands or tents, I suppose. But that will still be a pretty small set. Maybe it will have some kind of weapons store, for equipping the knights. I guess we'll have to wait and see... Also, this has officially overtaken 'Dino 2012' as the thing I am most excited about getting pictures of.

Thanks, Clone O'Patra. Anyway, I don't think anyone's posted this yet: EDIT: Video didn't work, Here's a Link A video a what seems to be a Bat-Wing type vehicle, on set of TDKR.

Hmm... On my Scarab Attack, the head was in the crate, but all I needed to do was turn it upside down and it fell out. I'm assuming your's are stuck in tight? Anyway, I'm sure other people will be more helpful than me.

Good to see another Highlander (I presume) on the forums (although I'm only half-Scottish myself ). I have also never parted with my Lego, not even for money. See you around...

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
LandShark replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Ah, that's true. So we could see some in the summer wave. Also, I would have thought they would save up the Endor BP's for the 'Jedi anniversary. -
I actually speculated about that in the Dino 2012 topic. 'Astronauts VS Dinosaurs! ' If it was a new theme, I think we would have heard about it by now, and since we had a new theme in the summer wave, it seems very unlikely. I think we won't get any Space for the January Wave, but we could get some in the summer.

I can't see anything, nothing from the past 4 years at least.

Ah, good thinking. It could be an awesome minifig, I just hope they don't give him cartoon-y hypno-spirals for eyes. Maybe his one of the snake staffs will be a hypnotic one?

The Penguin's Pennywise The Dancing Clown
LandShark replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Well, it seems I got so caught up in 'terror', that I forgot to give my actually opinion of the figure. Firstly, very clever modification of the already existing clown hairpiece. But the thing that really stood out for me was the bloody hands! They look really good. It sounds weird , but they look clean, like they're an official print. Well done, and I hope your Dwarves are okay. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
LandShark replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think 2012 might be more focused on the 3D release of TPM. Especially since Lego made a Slave 1 fairly recently. If they wait a bit longer for 'Clones to come out in 3D, people will be more likely to want another (Jango's). But, I seem to remember hearing that if the first 3D release was successful, they'd do AOTC the next year. Which would overlap with the 30th anniversary of 'Jedi. EDIT: I just realized, I keep switching between acronyms and one-word abbreviations for the Movies, sorry if that confuses anyone. -
The Penguin's Pennywise The Dancing Clown

Now I know how hard it must have been for you to make all of those Joker figures. What about your Baby Troll? -
The Penguin's Historical Minifigures..... )
LandShark replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Hmm... suggestions. Well, I'm sure you're far more historically knowledgeable than me, but I've got a few ideas. Maybe some American Presidents? There's a lot of them to do. And, if you go into more recent history, Winston Churchill or other war leaders? These are just ideas, though. I can't wait to see what you come up with. -
Interesting topic. While I do agree with Penguin (BTAS is great, and I've only recently started watching it): But the 60's Batman theme was even better. I don't really need to post a video, everyone knows that theme. Other than Batman, I would have to say The A-Team and the classic Transformers. Both spectacular.

I know I asked this before (no answer), but is there a topic for general Batman discussion? On topic, I think Nolan may be going for a Cat-Burglar thing for Catwoman, rather than literal cats. I did hear a rumor that the 'lens' of the goggles went up like cat ears when on her head, though. As for Bane, I hope his back-story is vaguely similar to the comics, I really like that version. But I suppose anything better than the 'Batman and Robin' Bane.

The Penguin's Batman Minifigures. )
LandShark replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Yet another great batch, Penguin! As soon I saw that a Collectible Minifigure was coming with a bowler hat, I wondered how long until you used it for Riddler. Also, the 'Minifigures Series 4 Werewolf has some good pieces for a Man-Bat (I noticed you used the hairpiece in this batch). -
Just for completeness, I thought I'd post this: Released on September 9th, according to Play.com.

[MOC] "Micro Collection" Death Star World 1 & 2
LandShark replied to BaronSat's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A bit of a late comment, but this deserves it! It's a very unique style of building, which I think works really well. Something about it just seems... right. -
The Penguin's Historical Minifigures..... )
LandShark replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Your figures never cease to impress me, Penguin! It's good to see you reviving one of other minifigure topics, especially one with so much potential. As a purist myself, I especially like the Colonial Soldier. Can't wait to see what you do next! -
I think usually someone takes pictures of the Retailer Catalog, then posts them on Flickr. Can't say for sure though. I agree, and I think that may be the reason Ninjago is returning to vehicle-based sets. Especially if it is a continuation of 'Quest. And like many other people, I would love to see a 'Helicopter VS Pteranodon' type thing. If the theme is successful, a second water-based wave would be great! Imagine, Liopleurodon VS Submarine.

At first I was slightly disappointed with the low number of comments on my Castle Minifigures, but then I realized had over 1000 views. I can't tell you how surprised/happy I was. My main reasons for not commenting on a MOC is probably lack of knowledge of that particular theme, or I just don't have enough time to write a meaningful comment. Good idea for a topic, by the way.

I'm not really a big fan of the newest Transformers toys, they just seem to unnecessarily complicated and cheaply made. But, one that I really like is , he's not perfect, but he has loads of references to other 'Formers stuff. Also, a friend recently gave me a 2006 'classics' Bumblebee. I just wish he was a generous with his Lego.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I had heard about the Tosche Station, I wasn't aware they filmed it though. That actually sound really likely. I'm still confused over how there are so many deleted/extended scenes. They must have... I really don't know what. Also, 'Anakin Kills Shaak Ti / Jedi Imposters at the Temple' remind me a lot of the first Lego Star Wars game.
-
Some of the deleted/extended scenes sound very interesting/confusing. 'Bail Organa' in Episode I? 'Tosche Station' for Episode IV? The 'Raid on the Droid Control Ship' is one I have heard of, but I thought it was never filmed. Surely they can't of kept all of these deleted scenes secret for this long. The only thing I can think of is if the 'Extended' means... I don't know, filmed recently, animated, or what? But thanks for the list, I might just buy it after all. The things in the documentary disc sound especially good (Anatomy of a Dewback).
