God day? Here's some pictures of Mr. Freeze, you can see his gear better (put them in a spoiler for those who want to keep him a surprise) :

Completely agreed on both accounts.

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
LandShark replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow! Just... wow! This is the kind of thing I've always wanted to do, but have never had enough bricks. And when this is finally finished, it will possibly be the greatest thing ever. Looking forward to the next update. -
Thanks for posting them Runamuck, very interesting. You could use the unprinted horses as statues. Anyway, here's that pig I was talking about: Fine from this angle... Still fine... Gah! I haven't called Lego for a replacement part, he's kind of grown on me.
-
I looked it up you're right, I don't know why I thought it was the red faded. Just remembered that I had a slightly misprinted pig in the Mill Village Raid set, I'll try and post pictures soon. And did anyone here actually get the copper crown? (I had no idea we had Dragon emoticons )

I really hope Lego makes a set like this one day. It has a very classic feel to it, I always like that in a MOC. I do think dark green would have work better, but I understand that it would be hard to do. And, did you build it on the baseplate, or was it just a massive coincidence that it fits perfectly?
-
Why has this not gotten any comments yet? Great choice of head for the figure. The torso print looks good, too.

A very nice MOC, Legoman. I'm also a native of New Zealand, and although I've never been to Christchurch, I can see that this was a very significant place, and you've captured it very well. The colours you chose work perfectly, too. It's also good to see that this topic did not go to waste, the rose window looks great.
-
Yeah, I've got a few minor face misprint's too. It's interesting to see that both you and Ogre got the brown crown. And, 'pig', that actually a really cool beard, you just need a two-coloured helmet to go with it. Also, I've heard a lot about the Pink Lion Knights. When the red colour was faded to pink in an early batch of Kingdoms sets. If anyone got those, would you mind posting some pictures?

Ah, I haven't tried mine backwards yet. Oh.
-
Ha-ha, awesome prank. I'd like to think that they do this all the time at Legoland. Replacing a co-workers cup of coffee with a tiny Lego one...
-
Hmm... Most of these are definitely spinners, but they do give us a good clue as to the new minifigures. Kendo Zane should be awesome. I wonder if all the ninjas will get that outfit. Also, thanks to horizon for estimating the sets sizes, very helpful.

I just meant what the main 'mission' of the theme was. If they were trying to capture dinosaurs before they destroy something/an evil guy uses them. Or if time-travel is involved, or if it's on an island. And I am also glad it's dino-friendly, a very refreshing change.

I noticed that there was a topic like this in the Star Wars section, I thought us Castle fans needed one! I've been collecting Castle sets for over 5 years now, and I have gotten a few misprints over the years. In the Troll Mountain Fortress, I got a particularly interesting one: It looks awesome! The stripes in the middle really make it look like war-paint. When I first saw it, I refused to believe it was a misprint, but then I had a look on Bricklink and at the review here on Eurobricks, and it seems like it's unique. Obviously, I never called Lego for a replacement part. I currently have him equipped with a Blow-pipe: Also, what was the deal with the Troll King's crown? On the box, it's bronze/copper, but my one had a plain brown one: I've also seen some reviews where the crown's brown ( ), but an equal number where it's shiny. So, if you have ever had any misprints, this is the place to post them.

Great use of minifigure parts, Migbarroso. Very well presented. The colour gradient on the text is a nice detail, too. EDIT: 200th post!

What castle factions/subtheme do you want?
LandShark replied to K-Nut's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Like I said in another topic, I would love to see a naval-based faction introduced in Kingdoms. As for sub-themes, a return of Vikings would be my dream come true, I really liked the old theme. Forestmen/bandits would be awesome too, as a sub-theme or part of Kingdoms. Outside of Castle, Aztecs/Mayans/Incas would be great, but it seems unlikely that we'll get them any time soon. -
WW Category 2 : Downstream on Mississippi
LandShark replied to Fianat's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow! This is a very impressive entry. All of the little details really add something to it, and the minifigures are great for the scene. -
Great little mechs, TenorPenny. My favourites probably the Charger, it looks really bulky and big (which can be hard to do with something so small). Also, I don't know why you would apologize for the quality of the pictures, they look fine. The blanket/cloth that you put them on makes it look like there in some kind of snowy terrian. Are you planning on making more of these?

I just finished Year One, and I do agree that Gordon was a great character in it. I'm just about to start reading The Killing Joke, have you read that one? I'm not too sure about Arkham Asylum, it just seems a bit... not right. I might try it out though.

As much as I would love that to happen, now that we know the names of the sets, it sounds like a more dino-friendly theme. Capturing rather than shooting. So I don't think we'll see any VS-type sets. We could still see a submarine with a big net cannon, in later waves. I would really like to see that. Also, I wonder what the story of the theme is going to be? Atlantis, 'Quest, and Ninjago all had a significant 'plot'.

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like
LandShark replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Culture & Multimedia
This probably belongs HERE. -
Ha-ha, great! It really is amazing how creative you can be with parts that, to the untrained eye, seem to have only one function. That lamp on the desk is great too!
-
Well, there is this: And with the upcoming Kingdoms Joust set, we might see some more banners/standards.

Thanks for creating this topic, Penguin. Greatly appreciated. Like I've said in various other places, I only got into Batman fairly recently. But now I've seen every movie, watched loads of TV episodes (60's series and BTAS), and am almost finished reading my second graphic novel (Year One). On the comic/graphic novel side of things, I don't really follow a specific continuity. There's been so many 'incarnations' of Batman, and each author depicts him in their own unique way. I also am not a big fan of the comics story-lines in recent years (Batman R.I.P, Batman Incorporated). I haven't read them, so maybe I'm being unfair, they just don't seem like the kind of Batman I like.

Finally! 'Dino Research Station' defiantly gives me the impression it will be more like the Dino Island sets, as does the fact that there's 'T-Rex Helicopter Transport' instead of 'Battle Helicopter VS Massive god-damned DINOSAUR BATTLE!'. Judging by the prices, the Research Station will be the biggest set, while 'Pteranodon Case' will be the smallest. Overall, it sound very promising, but now I'm even more exited about preliminary pictures!
