  1. So many people have had such great ideas in this topic (and the Ninjago 2012 topic), that I think whatever the theme turns out to be, it won't be as good as a lot of the ideas here. Perhaps a 'Design a Theme' contest is in order. And it feels like I've said this 100 times already, but we should get preliminary pictures any day now...
  2. There hasn't been a single Collectible Minifigure that I thought was 'bad', although I suppose some were slightly duller than others. I wasn't a huge fan of the Street Skater of S4, as he wasn't one that absolutely needed to be made (unlike a diver, or an alien), but he still had some good points. Also, just for the record, the Crash Test Dummy and the Pilot were some of my favorite figures of all time.
  3. Yet another great use of parts, The0. The lighter blue bricks work very well as the boat's wake, too.
  4. Very interesting back-story. This did make me grin, very clever.
  5. Interesting topic. All of my family knows, as do most of my fiends. I don't have to worry about a wife yet (that could be good or bad, depending on how you view it), but I'd like to think I wouldn't marry someone who was against my Lego.
  6. I don't think this has been posted here yet: An Arkham City artist explains Robin's new look. I think it's good that they keep Robin as a Challenge mode only character, I don't think he would have fitted in the story well. It does sound like they're giving him a new back-story though. Also, it should be very fun finding all of the little references to other characters hidden around the city. They managed to fit loads in 'Asylum, so there should be thousand here (you can even see some in the Catwoman trailer).
  7. My breathing just returned to normal speed. For a split-second (literally) I thought those were preliminary pictures you found. Back on topic, the theme could be a peaceful one, since it seems to be called 'Dino' rather than Dino Attack/Conquest/Destruction, but the name will probably change anyway. We should get preliminary pics' any day now. EDIT: 'Dinotopia'! Thanks Vertea, I've been trying to remember the name of that show for weeks!
  8. The latest member of Arkham City's cast has just been announced: Mr Freeze. You can see the trailer .This game is getting better and better, I wonder who's next?
  9. Another ingenious use of parts, The0! Very clever title, too. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
  10. It's nice to see that other people like sticking to the 'canonical' story as much as possible. And I have the City of Atlantis set, I might just need to integrate that into my kingdoms, good idea.
  11. Thanks, I've been waiting for a review of this for a while! I definitely like the way that he's unique (the other three use the same basic design). He should look great in my Medieval Kingdom. Good to see someone else liked/remembers the Viking dragons. I miss that theme.
  12. A-ha! I thought so: Sorry if this sounds rude, but when did this happen? Anyway, I really liked 'wildcat' 's idea, making the Leader of the Snakemen be like a King Cobra.
  13. You're very right. Everyone's so busy wondering about the dinosaur molds, we seem to have forgotten the sets will contain other things. Just for a minute, lets assume it is a continuation of 'Quest. Do you think they would stay with the vehicle's dark red colour scheme? The old Dino 2010/Attack sets were dark red too, but I'm not sure if that means Lego would want to use a different colour. I hadn't thought about that, this could even be the next space theme. Imagine, Astronauts VS. Dinosaurs. It would be cool if we finally got a Caveman Theme, no matter how historically inaccurate. But I agree, it does seem unlikely.
  14. I would have thought that Forest Fire and Forest Police were different sub themes. But yes, we will have to wait and see.
  15. The new episodes (as in, the one's starting with 'Rebirth') have only just starting airing in the UK, I've been waiting for them for almost a year. I always preferred Futurama over the Simpsons, there hasn't been an episode I haven't liked. Of course, now that Comedy Central owns it ('owns' isn't the right word, but you'll get my point), they can get away with, um... edgier stuff. I have some younger cousins staying over, and I don't think it's suitable for them any more.
  16. This is a very good idea for a discussion, it'll be interesting to see everyone's opinions. As for me, I don't make MOC's very often, but I will admit I used that first cockpit piece in my recent TIE MOC (that I'll be posting soon). I generally try to avoid them though. That said, I have seen some very clever usage of supposed 'SPUDs' in other people's MOCs. But I think you managed to sum it up pretty well:
  17. We might still get a Hospital sub-theme in the summer wave. In fact, it would make sense, so there a whole year of emergency services. And I wonder how long the current Police and Fire sets will last. Usually when a sub-theme is remade, the old sets are discontinued, but since this is a new variation...
  18. Does it have a 'Try Me' knob? But really, I'd love to see things like this for other sets and themes.
  19. It's been very interesting to hear about other people's Kingdoms, so I thought I would share mine. Firstly, I don't have very many pre-2007 castle minifigures/sets. In my opinion, not enough to have any separate factions. So any minifigures I happen to have from before the 'Fantasy Era' theme, are all veterans of past wars. Anyway, a brief back-story of my Kingdom is: Crown Knights: By far my largest army, they control the western kingdom. They are mainly defensive, and have many villages and markets across the land. The Undead: Lead by the Evil wizard, their 'kingdom' is the Barren Wasteland (east of the western kingdom). They are constantly battling with the Crown Kingdom. Dwarven Kingdom: Living in (and under) the mountains south of the Western kingdom, they mainly stay out of battles, and are more interested in mining. They are aligned with the Western Kingdom. Trolls: Aligned with the Evil Wizard, they aren't the smartest, only interested in treasure. Vikings: Living on the island's north of the Western Kingdom. They do not pillage or attack anyone aligned with the western kingdom, as the King has always been friendly to them. The Evil Wizard does not have the same privilege. Lion Knights: The whole Kingdoms Theme takes place far east of everything else. The Lions' know of the Western kingdoms existence and vice-versa, but do not get involved with each other often. Dragon Knights: At war with the Lion knights, and lead by there own Evil Wizard. They use mainly offensive/kidnapping tactics. Probably went into too much detail there, I just like giving them slight back-stories. I also based quite a lot of it around this map.
  20. Thanks, it means a lot to me. And I've just realized that this topic now has had over 1000 views. Thanks to you all!
  21. That is a great deal! Still too expensive for me to want to buy a second one, though.
  22. Very good usage of parts, 'teabox'! The maps on the wall look great, as do the white and gold windows. The poncho piece under the little statues, and using the globe from the Pirates of the Caribbean, were both excellent ideas. I wonder where he'll decide to go?
  23. I've always wanted to see a Fire Truck with light functions, this did not disappoint me. I really like the way you used the slopes and tiles, it makes it look very un-blocky. And it's good that you managed to include equipment on the inside, even though most of it is being used by the power functions/wiring. But my favorite bit has to be the four-seating cabin, I just really like the way it looks from the outside.
  24. You didn't happen to base this on a real fort did you? I live very near a place called Fort George, and it actually looks kind of like this. EDIT: I've just realized that your location says USA, and this particular fort is in Scotland. Just a coincidence I guess.
  25. I think it's more likely to be the Black Ninja, Cole. His power is earth, and green seems like an earth-y colour. On the other hand, ninjas are generally associated with the colour black, so taking Cole away seems an odd thing to do. Maybe the green one's Nya, that way they can keep the original ninjas. It would be an evolution of sorts. In any case, kids would probably treat the Green Ninja as a new character anyway.
