Of course! I hadn't thought about Ninjago or Bionicle. I used to say Ninja-go, but now I say Nin-Jah-go. Probably because that's how they say it on TV advertisements. I only have one Bionicle, Dekar, and I say Deh-car. I'd be interested to see how some Bionicle fans pronounce things.

Johnny Thunder in the Tiniest Jungle
LandShark replied to Fred Daniel Yam's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
That was my first thought, too. You should display all of you figures like this. -
That's OK, I'm a few episodes behind anyway (I've been busy), but I just gotten to the bit where Megatron is inside Bumblebee's mind. Well, Raf managed to hack into a government computer, and fix some of the Autobot technology, so I guess he's just good with that stuff. One thing I do find annoying is that they have the same credits in every episode (except the Airachnid one), which only shows the key cast. So I never get to figure out who voices Wheeljack, Knockout etc. .
-
Spoilers! Megatron is still in a 'coma' for us. I have a feeling that he'll be out soon... Yeah, he's kind of become a cliche of himself. She's actually my favorite of the humans. She's had some really good character development.

I've never said CFOL or KFOL. I just stick with 'a kid who likes Lego', usually. For TFOL I constantly switch between Tee-Eff-Oh-Ell and Tee-foll. It deeds on the context, I suppose.
-
Well, I'm still watching Prime, and I have to say, I'm really enjoying it! I thought the opening 5-part-miniseries was good. But now that we're onto proper Season 1, it's gotten great. Each episode has a good story, while avoiding any big cliches. One of the latest episodes (the one with Airachnid) was very dark and chilling, even more so than any episode of The Clone Wars, in my opinion. The animation's pretty good, too. And I've gotten used to the kids, they've actually had some nice character development. Is anyone else in the UK watching it?
-
I did see that, but I only read the 2007 date, so I thought I shouldn't bump it. Also, this topic can be about more than just AFOL and MOC. I say Leh-go myself, but I have heard people pronouncing it Lay-go and Lah-go. I suppose anything except Legos is fine.
-
I thought a topic like this could be very interesting. I did a quick search, and I couldn't find anything significantly like this, but if I missed something, feel free to merge this. How do you pronounce Lego terms? For AFOL: Do you say Ay-foll. Ay-Eff-Oh-El? For MOC: Mock or Emm-Oh-See? There is a lot of Lego-words out there, how do you say them? Also, one thing I've never worked out how to pronounce is 'vignette'. There's something about it I just... can't work out

Losing interest in a theme you once loved
LandShark replied to RichardRobins's topic in General LEGO Discussion
There was one point where I was tempted away from Castle, and towards City. But I managed to convinced myself out of it (which wasn't easy). I've also almost completely moved away from Star Wars. In my head it's just not an option with those prices. Wow, this post is pretty depressing. But don't get me wrong, I still love Lego. -
How about a theme based on Halloween/Horror?
LandShark replied to bsmith13's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I think a set every Halloween could be really good, along the lines of the Christmas sets. But I think it's a bit too 'seasonal' to be a full theme, and we are getting horror-based minifigures in the Collectible Minifigures theme (werewolf, zombie etc.). EDIT: I'm all up for a Lego Studios remake, though. That could have some good horror-movie sets. -
Very nice. Great use of minifigures parts, and the brickwork looks really good. The footprints are done very well, too.

Well, we did see Joker with a sniper in one trailer, didn't we? And some sniper henchmen. We could still get some cool 'Which sniper?' moments, or 'that shot was too accurate for Joker...'. But I do agree that they should stop with the constant revealing of characters. Although I have to admit, if they're trying to get me even more excited for the game, it's working.

Underwater Action Themes Avatar Contest!

That Saturday has past, has the contest been extended? Sorry if I seem impatient, I was just wondering. -
The Penguin's SW minifigures..... )
LandShark replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I'm always impressed by your figures, Penguin, but these are outstanding! TC-13 looks great, I really like the eyes. Lott Dod, Tarkin and the Zabrak all have very clean-looking 'paint-jobs'. And Even Peill is perfect, definitely my favorite figure in the whole topic. Your presentation of the figures is great too, the reference pictures are very helpful. Keep up the good work! -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
LandShark replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Is that when the UK premiere is? Or has it already happened? I haven't seen any advertisements for it, I'm very confused. -
My Blacksmith Attack is arriving tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they look together. I do hope we get sets like these in the next Kingdoms wave, whenever that may be...
-
Very true. I think (and hope) that Kingdoms will continue in the summer wave, and in the meantime we'll get the Kingdoms Joust. Perhaps we should merge this with the Joust topic? Just a thought. In any case, even if Kingdoms ends, it will only be a matter of time before we get a replacement Castle theme.

That is a really nice Tumbler. I don't currently have the pieces to make it, but I might have to make an order from Pick a Brick/Bricklink. Also, I've found your site very useful and fun, keep it up.

This looks really good. I thought about making my own creation from my Troll Mountain Fort. I just settled for one of the alternate arrangements in the instructions, in the end.
-
So do I. I think it's a great idea, and it makes for some very refreshing changes. I'd love to see some winter-setting subthemes some time. Imagine, police snowmobile chases. The mining theme sounds like it could be awesome, assuming it's true. I just hope the don't give it a ridiculous colour scheme.

We do have a thread for discussing Batman (including villians) HERE, that might be a more appropriate place for this.
-
This is pretty impressive all on it's own. I'm very much looking forward to seeing the full thing. EDIT: I would wait for the WW contest to finish, though. The main focus in this forum seems to be on that, so some good MOC's are getting overlooked.
-
How did a manage to miss that? I think it must have a story that's something like Jurassic Park crossed with Dino Attack/2010. EDIT: What do you guys think the Trans-green flick-fire 'missiles' are meant to be. There on all of the vehicles, it must be some kind of stun-ray.

I currently have 12/24. Also, the poll and title might need updating.
