  1. Very nice! I love it The Penguin, great to have this on the day you came back. Love the custom sticker, can you please post it? The truck looks very good and clean, the colour scheme is of course just like you. But the best part for me is how good those weapons fit into the truck, I love your use of Star Wars blasters especially considering the movie had them as plasma rifles, so very fitting. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to more! Btw, I bought this movie the other day at a gas station of all places, it is my favourite animated treatment of The Penguin. Batbrick Away!
  2. Good point. Maybe he could go on an angle? Me too, I would prefer that bit to the rest of the film frankly as it is most useful to anyone, what with the gangsters, food, setups, girls and everything. Still, I'm really glad that we are getting ToD sets, I told you all that the earlier statemtn from TLC was just referring to this year Yeah, that would be TOO cool to get batarangs for Indy I'm hoping for new machine guns, that would be nice. True, she was wearing the dress, and I for one am thankful. A) it means movie accuracy and B) I get another proper Raiders Marion after using her dress for Talia Al Ghul. To the Batbrickmobile!
  3. Thanks a lot friend, I very much appreciate the comments. I hope you enjoy making dirty business deals in it! I am, he's back! Great! I very much look forward to it! Thanks again for the compliment. And no offense guys, but could we please not spam up my topic if that's alright, I'm as glad as you are that The Penguin is back To the Batbrickmobile!
  4. Hello, and welcome to Season 2 of Interactive Apocalypse! :skull: If you are not familiar with this engaging interactive moc storyline, here is a lot of background to look up: The Introduction Part 1 - Safe Season Part 1.5 - Strangers Part 2 - Surviving Part 2.5 - The Deadzone Part 3 - Mistakes Part 3.5 - Captured Part 4 - Where Loyalties Lie Part 4.5 - Xenu's Sea Fortress Part 5 - The Battle We now enter season 2. last time we left on a cliffhanger, you, EB had chosen to ambush the Death Roller alongside your girlfriend Sondra: And the powerful Weapons Bot 99: You succeeded, but only at the greatest cost. By the time your internal fight in the belly of the beast had left the VBBN engine destroyed, the Death Roller had already crushed Xenu's Sea Fortress in the low tide: It reached the gate and promptly knocked them down. Weapons Bot 99 was destroyed and mangled, what was left of him confiscated by Dragonator's men. You are not sure how many of your friends were captured or killed, but you did see Lord Dragonator himself deliver the spear that pierced through poor Xenu's heart. It was too late for you, taken away by Dragonator's men you had no idea what had befallen Sondra . All you remember is her sweet and playful voice, and then screams.... Now you are here: This is Dragonator's special prison for those who committed the greatest wrong against him. Two men reside here: You, for turning down his offer and rebelling against him, and an old man named Sheckles, who refuses to tell. He most likely can't either, as he is insane form years here, sometimes violent, other times calm: Head of the ward here is Colonel Kleb Miller, who is a student in the art of torture. She derives great pleasure from this and is extremely loyal to Lord Dragonator. None of the forces but her live in the prison, as she enjoys sleeping on the rooftop of the building, gazing up at the stars, and dreaming up further vile acts: *Note, before we continue, let me say that none of the following is meant to be offensive to anyone. Being Christian myself, this is not intended as any sort of statement, allegory or blasphemy, as I merely wanted to use this comparison to highlight the cruelty of Dragonator (no offense buddy ) and how bad this apocalyptic world is, thankyou* This prison was once a small church: A place where hope and faith was given is now a place where it is taken away, a place of hopelessness: Guarded by only a few, this place is one not of death, but of a living death. Miller takes great pride in her need of only a small workforce: She has not problem in letting the horrible Goliath Ants pick at the men's flesh, never killing, only causes anguish: The old church was built well. Only minor changes were made to its structure before it was converted to a prison: But now it boasts a horrible visage, a gruesome one. Guns and chains and wire glint in the red sun, defying and mocking what this place once stood for: The red mark of Dragonator is placed atop the rock, in front of a man who could not handle his life in this place: The bars are very strong, despite years of being there. A man who does escape must avoid the dangers outside too: A second entrance, closed off with a lock and chain, and a warning of what happens next. Oh, and the guy who died was totally Hinckley, he's everywhere and as such everyone wants to own his skeleton because he's such a pest and that hammer is ridiculous and because owning a dead Hinckley is totally in fashion these days: Hope is almost nonexistent. You are saddened over your choices and loss. Each one was heroic, each one the right thing to do, yet still you are left to wall in despair. How can good overcome such prevailing evil? It can't, you see now... The men enjoy their instruments of torture, and are let to dine on the best of foods provided by their master: And Miller, who has received a message from her master, and a map. It concerns you, as you have overheard, but you do not know what yet: Guns mount the top of the prison, ready for anything: Another gun is set at the front window of the building, with the window flipping up to make ready for lead: And you are here. Then today, you here a message from that witch Colonel Miller. She tell you that Lord Dragonator is arranging for you to be transferred to him, for important business. She says he requires your help, and this time you will give it. As you wonder, Sheckles gives another piece of news he acquired just earlier, that another mysterious person is visiting for a different kind of business. He says that whoever it is brings death. What should you do? Should you follow Dragonator and give in? Or should you confide and instead bide time for this mysterious "death bringer"? Out of curiosity and knowing that even death is better than what you have endured for a whole 2 years. What to do in the meantime? Make your own devices from scrap and try your own desperate escape? Or finally try and befriend Sheckles despite his insanity to appeal to his usefulnesses. Or do you build yourself a better leg. Just incase you might need to run sometime soon? You decide. Finally, a normal shot: Can you survive? Notes: For those of oyu expecting more, please realise this is intended as an intro. Like my very first IA moc, it is a smaller piece that will gradually lead to larger or better mocs as the scale builds. Of course little mocs may come as the story demands them. Another thing is the new format. Every part will now have a poll following successful tests in the latter part of season 1, as well as suggestions from fans of IA. I will also now only create creatures relevant to the moc, in order to keep the story smooth. This will also mean I can let my imagination run a bit more wild when I do make some. Lastly, I plan to delve into the characters more. I might even make a character post to let you know them more. The exception of course is the main character, because as he represents you, everyone can have their own spin on him. But I do plan on exploring their personalities more. Thanks, and comments appreciated! Batbrick Away!
  5. Thanks a lot, I really appreciate that Perfectly alright! See bottom of this post. Thanks, I'm uploading a heap as we speak! Thanks mate! Really appreciate the comments. As usual the statue is a winner, thanks again for the reply. Thanks MoWo mate, more is coming in the form of another Bat Mocs'N'Mods treat, as well as my custom Batfigs. Thanks a lot Dragonator, I'm glad someone noticed the curves on the roof. I was aiming for a very grand and private club look, so thanks for the mention there. Thanks again mate, I too really love the minifig shots, I can't wait to eventually 9key word here: eventually ) make a Batman comic. Next up in large Batmocs is Wayne manor, but for now I am uploading IS season 2 pilot for you! And the reason for the delayed posting is because I finally got round to taking those larger pics Sinner and Nightwing wanted. Here they are: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/batbrick...unge/hires1.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/batbrick...unge/hires2.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/batbrick...unge/hires3.jpg Please tell me if they work, if not I'll try again! Batbrick Away!
  6. I think he meant the better quality pics you've been doing. Though I did like the background Batbrick Away!
  7. *slow motion* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo! Batbrick Away!
  8. Wow! Very cool, I love how the metallic bits all work together like that. One little thing though, I don't like the head, it just seems to clash with the rest of the, er, "gloriousness" of the moc. Great background though. Batbrick Away!
  9. Stalking you! :skull: Nice new avvie iamded, sorry I haven't been round here a while, I'm STILL waiting on the sets. That said, I plan to visit the H&A a bit more now. Given my current spending rate though, it seems I'll have to let go of getting that Troll Battlewheel and Advent Calender sadly. I'm still planning on the rest though, that new brown is lovely as are those awesome Orcs! Batbrick Away!
  10. While that does make sense, I'm thinking that the Stolen Treasure set will be a bit more expensive. Sure this one has more figs, but it is a smaller set overall. even if it is the same price however, I'm still getting it, it is that good. Same for the flying Wing, how can you NOT get such an iconic scene? I might watch the movies again for the umpteenth time tonight in excitement. I'm interested to see the construction of the underbelly too. Batbrick Away!
  11. Wow! That is very cool, I love the arch designs on the ridges, and the grass at the bottom. The fact that it is modular makes it so much better too. Great job! Batbrick Away!
  12. We have those Lego Starwars toys here in Aus, I reckon the Batman ones might be coming! Batbrick Away!
  13. Yes! We get to see Valkyrie again. Nice job KDog, I'm interested to see who the prisoner is, though I have my suspicions. Cool craft too, have you shown those before? Which reminds me of one of the suggestions for the 100th comic, I thought it would be cool to see as many different sets and ships as possible in it. Anyway, looking forward to part 2, and hope your internet gets working better soon. Batbrick Away!
  14. I must be the only one who loves the Flying Wing. Maybe it's because I like how the big pieces are used. That said, I do hope they scale down some bits to be more brickbuilt, but on the whole you get some awesome figs, especially for the great Marion and Nazi, and even more so for the mechanic fig. The Wing looks great, and the...erm...wing piece actually works. Plus that fuel truck is awesome. Again, I really can't wait to put the Wing, fuel truck and two other trucks together. I was about to say this myself. I'm hoping in the other four sets we get another Temple of Doom set, another Last Crusade set, another Raiders Set, and one more Crystal Skull set. I say this because Skull has already had four sets, I want more OT. Batbrick Away!
  15. It ;looks pretty good. Have to say I noticed quite a few more things I like. Lots of new elements too, like the two tone parrot, spyglass, dynamite, red octopus, gold hook, new shako, ship hull, what looks to be metallic cannons, new flame/plume piece, new fish piece etc. Loving it all, as well as the amount of foliage and bit useful for other mocs, cannot wait to buy them and set them up! Batbrick Away!
  16. Good point, the chances are they aren't real minifigs but you might as well not be so cynical about it. I'm normally cynical! This is what I'm wondering, I want them to come here, even if they are bad! Batbrick Away!
  17. Yeah, atleast the upcoming Brave and the bold Batman series embraces it's silliness by being campy and fun. The music is actually good too, unlike othse awful guitars in The Batman, urgh. Batbrick Away!
  18. Loving everything so far, even if City should just drop construction it redeems itself 196858969 times by finally making a farm theme with cows Indy is brilliant, as it Star wars (I'll be getting the battlepacks), but the real clincher is Pirates, loving that line a lot. Batbrick Away!
  19. Very good point, you have me thinking positive! *gives Brainbox the most utterly and completely heterosexual hug ever* Seriously though (Do I always say that?), between the game, that and the movies, I don't see why not. How are the sales going, do we know? Exactly! Remember when everyone though TLC was being stupid when it marked Joker's namer on the Batcomputer as "umknown"? WE knew the truth! To keep things positive and on topic (for once) though, if there were BB and TDK sets, I'd most like to see: A Better Tumbler. Call it the Batbeast or the Bat Truck or anything I don't care, I want to see a really well made and ot scale Tumbler. Scarecrow's van could come with it. Batpod naturally, I'd love to see TLC's version. Their Batbike doesn't count. You could include it with Joker's "Slaughter is the best medicine" truck, that'd be great. Harvey's SWAT van would be with it also as the largest set. The monorail, merely to have a comeback in monorails. The figs naturally would be a black suit TDK Batman and Scarecrow in the Tumbler set. Joker, Harvey, Batman and Gordon in the Batpod set. Ra's Al Ghul, BB Batman, Gordon and Rachel, generic Arkham psycho, Ninja and Lucius Fox (The BEST reason for movie sets, as it makes him morel likely) randomly in the monorail set. What do you think? Batbrick Away!
  20. , don't you remember? He has chocks of wood on his feet! I really, really love that set. Once again amazing vehicles, and the roof is cool. Tan is my favourite Lego colour, then black, so that's also good. Not ot mention an awesome five figs, heck, even if they reduce it to four I'd still be happy. The tuxedos I have none of which is excellent, I don't have to get the horse set now. The black fedoras are neat, too bad Joker never got his purple one, I had to make it. Can't wait to see how all the prints end up, Willie's dress will go great for Talia and her face may be useful. The chinese gangsters and Short Round may be very useful too. Good point, I like that cockpit piece but agree it is a bit overkill. I definitely concur that even with all the juniorisation it is cleverly done though, really gives the plan the right shape. tHe fuel truck I forgot to comment on, another brilliant Indy vehicle, it will go great next to the other Nazi trucks. Like the other set, can't wait ot see the final look, with the mechanic I can finally have a bare chest Batman for Ra's al Ghul conflicts! Definite agreement here. This happens every time and every time we end up happy. So relax and enjoy. Batbrick Away!
  21. I hope it isn't. I almost liked the red truck when I bought it, but the figures were cool. The fact is, in my opinion, that it is a one notel ine that never had a hope of a second wave. it was good while it lasted though Batbrick Away!
  22. You sure make it sound easy! luckily, I got four hours of work this week, then I was called to extend my Saturday shift by two hours, and just a while ago was asked to do a three hour shift tomorrow! Woo, nine hours! Which is great, seeing as a while ago I was getting a measly 2-3 hours a week. This means at this current rate comics and BTAS vol 4 will be a breeze. I think I'll get Haunted Knight next to complete the "Tim Sale/Jeph Loeb quadrilogy". Then The Man Who Laughs. I need to buy Watchmen too, but I can wait, the movie isn't exciting so much as a I tend to agree with Alan Moore that it is rather "unfilmable". Hmmh, that'll be good enough though right? Still, today I shaped out the basic look of Ivy's greenhouse. I want to do that first now, but realise it's just because Wayne Manor is so daunting! Thing is though, with more Indy sets means morel likely much more tan, and if there are a few sets like Akator I might wait out for that to make the manor bigger. Better in the long run right? At this stage however I am going ahead with it. That sucks, you live in London right? Good point, I guess I'm kinda desperate to have a lot more Bat-merchandise - I'm hooked. I'll rewatch them first to make up my mind, although I am a bigger fan of movies than you. Which reminds me, I need to order Justice League: The New Frontier. Ah, hopefully. In the meantime you have volumes 1 and 2 atleast. What about 4? Or Mask of the Phantasm? Are they available in your region? You know, sometimes I think I could write better stories than them. Seriously, the recent Joker's Asylum run was such a waste of potential. Joker boringly narrates a story for each inmate including himself and ends it with a joke. What a waste! If I was to do it, I'd have Joker be twisting the stories, including cameos of himself as the other villains "hero", and make him kill Batman in his own story before admitting: "Okay okay! I'm lying! What really happened was I got my face smashed in!" Good point, i'll definitely add that sometime, thanks for the link again. Don't like their Two-Face coin though, I'll make my own. I disagree, it has to fit the tone of the Batmythos, not your own., and Miller sucks at that, a lot. I mean, I can accept it, but why not just have her as a poorer person inspired much the same way? It makes even MORE sense than some random prostitute, as Batman is trying to inspire the people who's life has been made horrible by gangs, not servicing them so.....eh.....willingly. I know, Star wars is in now. I don't get much, but I'll definitely get the clone Battlepack as I don't have any clones, and more importantly I LOOOOVE those equipment pieces. The assassin droid pack I mgiht get as well, for all those shiny silver pieces Can't wait to see the Batsets, nor the Castle ones. We seem to get the pics earlier every year huh? I barely have any pirate sets, though i do love the Islanders. Loving the bits though, that "Kraken" will go great alongside the Agents one, as will the crocodiles and shark. Or the other way round too. Batbrick Away!
  23. WOOPS! I typed in the wrong thing, what i meant was that I'd comment on the first part then the second Anyway, I read the second part now and holy crap! Seriously, that was the first Lego comic I ever read that honestly scared me! The narration the twists and the camera angles, so freaky. I was sitting in my computer room with the lights off late at night and was getting creeped out by this!! Brilliant, brilliant job, you executed it so perfectly. This is easily one of my personal favourites (I can't put it as my favourite as it doesn't really define what the series is about). It was very well written, and the way the twists and such are done is very clever. Do you plan on any more dark comics in the future? Very nice, looking forward to it, what are we up to now? Batbrick Away!
  24. Because it is horrible plotless action with lame guitar riffs, bad voice actors, terrible terrible villains (the joker as Rastafarian monkey!?) and a whole lot of other stuff I hate. No, ra's would fit in the best, there has to be ap lot in the game other than just catching criminals. Who broke them out? Ra's of course, to wreak vengeance upon the city like in Batman Begins or his comic series that had him trying to prove ot Batman his crusade is worthless. He would be the ultimate main, main villain. I'd love to see Maxie Zeus too, but I'd rather Firefly. How many are left to see? Batbrick Away!
  25. YES! Asuka is back! Welcome back! (you did leave didn't you?) Have to say I love these sets, the pirate ship and two smallest ones especially, what great new parts and bits. I'll certainly try to get most of them next year. The baseplate set may be the weakest but I still want that baseplate as it is rather cool too. Batbrick Away!
