  1. Not specifically with this one, but another Chinese hub. I found that if you remove them from the charger before they declare themselves fully charged, they don't like it at all. To the point that the battery will get a very short lifespan, then go puffy. I suspect (with zero evidence, it's really just a theory) that the BMS is very basic and e.g. just throwing current at whichever cell wants it first, then topping off the others after. By that theory, you can easily end up with a bad cell in the battery if you unplug it early as it'll have one or more undercharged cells. Or else the batteries are just really cheaply made and/or being overloaded with discharge rate.
  2. Huh? The parts list is for Efferman's crane, published by CaDA. Also please keep in mind this non-LEGO thread exists on a LEGO-only board by admin's good grace only, and they don't much care for MK who have stolen models from several members on here.
  3. @Maaboo the Witch I'm not sure about none of the wishlist. It was kind of always going to get a new gearbox based on the Yamaha parts, and since these things are mostly conglomerations of panels with gearboxes under them...
  4. Have you read the first 6ish pages? Answer is yes. The quality improved after that as actual leaked pictures were available.
  5. Was that at me? You just made me read 9 pages of rumours and nonsense, my comment was new, and that's ten minutes I'm never getting back.
  6. That's pretty impressive that it can make the tyres screech, without any kind of clicking noises.
  7. @Nerfminoshunter https://bricksafe.com/pages/A_morti/piterx-moto-x You're welcome to have a go at improving it, but please understand that it doesn't work as it is; it'll tear the chain off very easily. To be honest I think it's fundamentally flawed.
  8. It was a different bike I was working on. But once it got off the bench and took a first test, it was just no good using an XL motor with chain drive, so I gave up on it.
  9. Can't even remember the name of it, but it was a rebuild of the zetros.
  10. The last guy who made PDF instructions for @Didumos69 spent weeks of evenings doing them, then never got a reply. Diederik - what's up with that? I'll ask here since you ignored my PM's for months.
  11. It's a thread hijack. Let's look at it on your own thread.
  12. @Jockos what improvements could you imagine for the larger cylinders? Seems like they got it dead right all that time ago. However, I'd take better crankshaft pieces which for example allowed a proper boxer configuration.
  13. It's not so much the lack of sizes, but the sizes are wrong. The rear is scaled 1:4.7, while the front is 1:4.5. Neither is scaled 1:5 as listed on the box.
  14. Just realised the 1:5 motorcycle tires are too large at 139mm diameter. The correct tyre for the BMW is a 200/55-17, which is about 652mm across. Divide that by five and it would be 130.4mm. The front tire is a 120/70-17 represented by 132mm in Lego but should be @120. No wonder the wheels look too big on my RC bike with correct wheelbase to scale of something like an R1 1415mm/5 = 283mm. They are...
  15. There are new mini fake engine crankshaft and piston parts. No more jammed fake engines! Easy modification to realistic crankshaft pairing! Praise be...
  16. See what I mean about the bush? The two ends aren't identical. One side would click on a stud, or slide over the smooth section of a 5.5 axle.
  17. The whole bush from CaDA has more or less one half stud as an axle hole, one half a plain hole. I think with the orientation you have the bush nearest the 5.5 axle, the plain hole part would reduce the spacer length and maybe allow the joint to come apart? @efferman does that make sense?
  18. @brunojj1 welcome back and happy new year!
  19. Models progress as new parts become available. Designers look forwards to their next model. If you want to use new parts on older models nobody is stopping you modding it, but asking the designer to do it for you is strange.
  20. Looking good! When I saw the title I thought maybe you'd beaten me to the punch...
  21. Not unattainable no, but if you consider not only the price of a bearing and printer filament as the home project guy would, but also cost/depreciation of the printer, R&D time, effort in packaging and shipping even if there's an additional shipping fee, blablabla... well, it's doubtful that anyone's going to get rich at 5€ per hub. Anyway - back on topic. I am excited for your project/product, especially the RC-novice variant, and would like to be near the front of that queue. I wonder if the scope is wide enough to do a kickstarter? Or if you'd be interested in such anyway.
