Ok boomer ;) But seriously, nothing is what it once was, otherwise we'd all be playing with spinning tops. The question is only whether the progress is going in a good direction. I'm not sure it is with a heavy reliance on licensed sets and mobile phone control of motorised models, but that's just my opinion.

My 2c: some people march to a different beat. Such types may or may never conclude that it's better (or at least easier) to follow the regular beat, but they'll need to decide it for themselves and any amount of persuading is unlikely to tip the balance. If anything, more persuasion can generate even more push-back. So hopefully it's enough said, and let's get back to the bricks. Bruno has asked me to share a fix sheet from CaDA for anybody who received incorrect or mismatched worm gears: https://bricksafe.com/files/brunojj1/stuff/C61503W-thread-installation.pdf For the mechanism to operate as intended you need the reverse-threaded (relative to LEGO) worm gears from CaDA, so step one is to contact customer services and request them - they will be provided FOC. Of course that will take some time to arrive which might be annoying, but the rest of the job seems relatively painless.

Now this is exciting. Something missing from CaDA til now, has been unofficial B models on rebrickable. If your model can't be built using only TLG pieces it won't be allowed at rebrickable. I guess you have at least one or two different size alternating beams? I wonder if CaDA would be interested in hosting the instructions, make it more official?

4x4 Truggy (4x buggy motors)
amorti replied to Lixander's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think the CV joints will be fine. Those front motors look a bit light... -
Someone just posted on my BugFixes video that they received one of each worm gear and have one door going up and one down. I'll leave a pinned comment in case anyone goes to the video for that problem. Prune as you see fit, chief. I've mentioned before - it's your ball and I'm just happy you let us play with it

The gears are definitely correct so yes if the doors and spoiler are going up/down together rather than opposing, then one of the motors is wired incorrectly. As above, either request a new motor if you don't mind waiting for it, or swap the bevel gears on both linear actuators if space allows (no parts required but hard to access and you'll be tight against the lighting wires), or figure a way to swap the bevel gear at the doors (motor and gears are accessible but there is a pin in the hole directly opposite so not as easy as it looks to change). It's the first one I've heard where it was wired wrong and 9/10 times it wouldn't matter anyway, but this time it's half of a pair.
