  1. series 1: demolition dummy series 2: karate master series 3: space alien series 4: soccer player series 5: fitness instructor
  2. That sounds really morally questionable to me. The feel method does work, as long as you have the know-how of what certain lego shapes should feel like. I went 6/6 in series 4 without ever trying to feel legos before.
  3. de Gothia Great collection of armies! I miss seeing all those old factions. I am definitely jealous of the size of the Black Falcon group you have! I will need to get more in the future. And I agree the elf torsos can work with the dragons, or the forestmen perhaps. Ogre Impressive Dragon unit. Puts mine to shame. ziljin One word: Ridiculous. You and Bricklink have become close friends as of late.
  4. I think organized/uniform looks better personally, but it isn't the most realistic, but we are talking about legos here. I remember always keeping things as uniform as I could even when the random parts did come together like that. I think bricklink just has sellers randomly putting pieces together and trying to sell them. Most of the accessories you can purchase afterwards, the main figure is the goal purchase. And I've mixed/matched the heads before to prevent clone syndrome, but at the same time that is what an army is. It is a large group of people. Individuality gets lost in the crowd, therefore, everyone is basically a clone in the grand scheme of things. So to me, the "clone syndrome" isn't that big of a deal. But I always matched up the plumes with the right forestman when I played with them.
  5. Less uniform, but maybe more realistic? Someone said how rare it was for every soldier to have similar attire on. Maybe that is what they were going for originally. But I do remember them having many differences like that.
  6. Brilliant MOC! I've never been, but I would imagine this is very lifelike. Great usage of color/structure.
  7. Definitely make a video of the Black Knight army. I was addicted to lego when I was younger, then life got in the way. I only recently got back into lego and have since become addicted again. Granted, I'm not ordering as many figures as you, but I do intend to order some in the future. So you never dealt with legos prior to the last few months/years?
  8. I definitely enjoyed the movie comparisons side by side. I did purchase this the day it came out, but rereading a review was entertaining!
  9. You need to get some black falcons! They are certainly neat for sure. I'm not sure how many I have though.
  10. Brilliant idea! Madam Malkins would be the perfect fit for those uniforms since none of the castles had them.
  11. Your orders are ridiculous! And it was only recently I became interested in those Bull Knights for some reason.
  12. Brilliant waterfall! And I agree, that canopy looks stunning the way it is designed. Who needs cloth when you have bricks!
  13. I really like how all of this comes together. I especially like the fish in the water, and the gentleman lifting the brick. Great work!
  14. I hadn't considered that. Thanks for the tip! I've been wanting a Sirius also, but that will have to do for now. And I agree, those torsos look awesome! I want them all!
  15. I live in the almost exact middle of the United States and they weren't at my local TRU..yet. Hopefully soon. I'm pumped to get some!
  16. I noticed the Musketeer's legs were a duller black, but I attributed that to armor or padding or something. I didn't ever consider a quality issue. Oh well. And I agree with one of the first posters, nice gang of mobsters!
  17. If that were the case I would expect to see more of the sailors being less popular since it only comes with a basic accessory. I haven't skimmed through every post so maybe there was more hate for him, but I suppose he was unique enough in himself to not be less popular than some of the other figs.
  18. Looks great! I really like the story (of course) and the set-up of all the characters. But I also like the ramp/incline and how it is situated. Keep up the good work!
  19. Only 22? Keep in mind, 22 is still more than the zero I own.
  20. It must vary greatly since I haven't seen that set anywhere in town. I've only heard of it because of the forum and peeron inventory.
  21. Everyone seems to be having a merry old time. Looks great. I like seeing your little creations for each faction. I do like that big tree in the background. And good use of the head in the first picture. He does come off as a forest man.
  22. Very clever MOC. I like the structure of the town and the buildings look wonderful. To me, it feels a little crowded, but for all I know the roads were narrow back then.
  23. Yeah, the forest woman is definitely overpriced, but I suppose that is supply and demand. I don't think I ever got that set with her in it, so that is one of the few figures I don't have from those days.
  24. Another great MOC! That was a good scene for sure. Keep up the good work!
  25. Great job! That looks awesome.
