Review: Escape from Dragon's Prison
TheLegoDr replied to MCNwakeboard's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It never phased me that the middle was missing. I was just so excited to see some new barding, I overlooked it. It doesn't bother me though. Sure, it would be neat to have the printing all the way across, but I still don't notice it. -
That is beautiful. I've never been good at building cars like this, but my brother was decent. I don't think he pales in comparison to you though.
-
I wasn't too excited about this until I saw those flickr pictures. Thanks for the link!
-
I almost always prefer the older versions just because those are what I played with when I was young, so nostalgia wins. But I do agree that a newer Police station in the same concept as Fire Brigade would be ideal.
-
Awesome concepts. I am liking the newer vehicles, although they can appear too big sometimes. But it is great to be able to fit more than just one person into a car!
-
Unfortunately I have yet to find a Musketeer in the packs and don't want to pay the aftermarket price! Sweet that you have so many though. Nice set up!
-
Exactly! As a kid I never would have thought to buy multiples of the same set. I had one, why would I need another one of the exact same thing. Fast forward 15 years and I'm thinking I missed out on a lot of great castle minifigs when they gave lots in each set!

I need to do some kind of shelving/storage like this in my lego room when I get it finished. This is intense!
-
This castle is ridiculous! I love it. Great interiors, which are always needed. And great detailing in general. I really like the overall shape of the building, plus the building techniques used since I am new to this MOCing concept. Keep up the good work!
-
I am liking the curvature of those towers! Hopefully a new build is in the near future.
-
I agree. I picture white horses for the Lions and black horses for the Dragons. Not that the horses have any say in the matter of course. I'm sure there are just as many tempestuous white horses as there are black.
-
I agree completely. Eldorado's Fortress was/is awesome!

Awesome. I've been wanting to build a larger yellow skinned redcoat army. -
I've never heard of this moodland scale before, but I think that is definitely a neat idea for giants. I might try my hand at something like that. I don't think the trolls or ogres would work too well, just due to proportions. Can't wait to see the giants!
-
I have every intention of making a MOC of this eventually. I'm glad to see someone else's take on it! Good work.

I am pretty excited about this set. I have yet to get it though, but it is on my wishlist. And I actually like the gold bars that are featured with the set. And as neat as the new redcoats are, I still love the older version from my youth.

Amazing army! It has been a recent dream of mine to build an imperial army. Although, it will not pale in comparison to yours!
-
I always liked this set too! I had forgotten the size of it though until now. I will need to rebuild all of my Imperial sets in the near future. Great decade for legos!
-
I always loved these old sets, especially this one. When I get all of my bricks out of storage I plan on building this again! Great review!
-
I meant as in to scale for minifig use.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion

I just recently got into the collectable minifigs and this new set looks like it will be a fun one! -
I really like those windows! Great concept.
-
Neat dragon! I've been trying to figure out how to build one of my own.
-
Wow, I was about to say "nice haul" too!

That does open really neat. And the interior is nicely detailed. Good work!
