  1. After some deep searching, I have found the pic of Bo-Katan! (Insta has been glitchy lately). Helmet is a tad wonky, but I love her! And a new head to boot! Just reinforces my earlier comment regarding her hairpiece since the band is printed on her head.
  2. Do you mean a Venator? If so, maybe... The Arquitens itself has been seen through the Clone Wars into the Imperial Era and now, Post-Endor. Throw some red tiles down and viola!
  3. I personally like this hairpiece, I think Claire's hair is ugly, and Widow's is too voluminous. Rankings: 1. Light Cruiser. I love Republic-era ships, and this is a good rendition. Figures are amazing also. 2. Gauntlet Fighter. Bo-Katan. That would be enough, but Gar gets a new helmet, and the set itself is a sturdy update from 2012. 3. Slave I. I happen to like how compact it is, and with a killer Boba Fett to boot, it's a must have. 4. Trexler Marauder. Okay build, okay figs. Closest to a battle pack we'll get this year. 5. Mandalorian Throne. Okay figures, but oof! That build leaves a little to be desired. Pass.
  4. Yay! Bo-Katan is one of my up-and-coming favorite characters, so I'm pleased with the new Gauntlet fighter. Great figures are awesome, but a wonderful build is just *chef's kiss* . I did own the 2012 version (but it's long since been disassembled) so it'll be nice seeing how the builds stack up. And long have I waited for an Arquitens light cruiser! Yes, it bears Imperial "colors", but it's an easy mod into a Republic vehicle. The build is very nice, and the figure selection doesn't disappoint. Happy to see Fennec, but would've loved two Dark Troopers. I don't own a Slave I, though the 2019 set is/was tempting. But I'll really want the new Boba, so I'll settle for this new one. It's funny to me that Mando's getting the Indiana Jones/Harry Potter treatment, being in almost all the sets, but it's kind of unavoidable. The Trexler looks a tad wonky, but it's still pretty good. Wish we could've gotten the mortar trooper with the 2014-18 helmet, but oh well. (No, I wasn't expecting it to happen, it would just be nice to revert) All in all? Well done Lego. Now for that Gunship...
  5. Here are some ideas I had for changing Brooklynn's face (yes, the second face's freckles aren't accurate, but neither are they on Hermione). The hair is the most accurate piece we currently have, but honestly they should've sprung for a new mold. And before anyone says "but budget": I want a better fig, and not excuses.
  6. I was just thinking, if we had to get a movie character, why not Wu!? He's literally the only movie character in the show. Anyways, forgot to mention: I do like Stiggy's recolor, and I think Grimm is suitably vibrant, though I hate that mold with a passion, it's well detailed. Yes it sucks not to get new herbivores, and I do agree with whoever suggested using the baby dino mold for Compies. If we do get new herbivores next year, fingers crossed for a Parasaurolophus. Hell, I might've been more hyped if they'd rereleased the Gallimimus, but its absence is understandable.
  7. Lego Jurassic World is really starting to piss me off. The Good: I do like having the CC crew (though Brooklynn is quite... not good), but for crying out loud, why do this weird mishmash of CC and Jurassic World? Instead of the yacht, we get some random cargo ship , instead of the ruined "place" we get a perfectly intact skeleton (which is pretty me gusta, I must admit ). Bruh, can we just get one wave of JW sets that isn't horribly half-cocked? The Bad: Why Lego? Why the weird mix? Why the absolute dismissal of the (very usable) source material? The dinos are a highlight, as always, but would it kill you guys to actually stick to what's on screen? I'm very tired of seeing Owen every year, and the umpteenth ACU meat fodder. Also, why is Brooklynn wielding a tranq rifle? And if any of the kids had to be strapped, why not Darius? Y'know, the only one to actually use a tranq rifle? Can we just get classic trilogy sets? All I want is one, Lego. One a year, that's all I beg for. This is an easy license, it really is Lego. All it wants is some love!
  8. I personally love 76012, the Beware the Batman Batmobile. It's by no means an iconic version of the vehicle, but it is really nice nonetheless. I'd also suggest 76119 for more classic or 76045 for a more unique take. @TheBatstan has made great notes for the various Robins, but my favorite Joker is the 2012 "reboot" figure. Perhaps TLBM main Joker with 2012's head and hair might be a good look. For Robin, I'd go with the '66 figure with the Teen Titans' head, and any suitable black hairpiece (maybe New 52 for a look encompassing all three?) I'd also find a scalloped yellow cape, but that's more personal preference.
  9. Hey, it's all in good fun! A lot of good figure opportunities too. Long Live The Battle Packs! Long May They Reign!
  10. Or... and this is a crazy idea... a Gian Speeder While a $15 501st pack would be quite nice, I'm pretty content with categorizing the $30 set as a new kind of "Super Battle Pack", or perhaps a "Faction Pack", rare $30 battle pack-esque sets that can be inserted in-between regular $15 battle packs. So, we probably won't see more regular 501st clones in a battle pack for a while.
  11. Future Battle Pack Ideas The Phantom Menace Gungan Battle Pack ($14.99): Captain Tarpals, 3x Gungan Warriors (2 identical). Molded Kaadu with carriage. Naboo Battle Pack ($14.99): Captain Panaka, 2x Royal Guard, Naboo Security Officer. Clone Commander, 3x Clone Troopers. Revenge of the Sith Droid Army on Utapau ($29.99): 212th Clone Trooper x2, 6x B1 Battle Droids, 2x B2 Super Battle Droids. Crab Droid, Dwarf Spider Droid. 212th Battalion Clone Troopers ($19.99): AT-RT. 212th AT-RT Driver, 2x 212th Clone Troopers, 212th Airborne Trooper. ARC Trooper Fives, Jesse, Hardcase, 501st Clone Trooper. More of a character pack than traditional Battle Pack Elite Clone Troopers ($14.99): Commander Doom, 3x Doom Troopers. Clone Pilots ($14.99): Another character pack: Hawk, Yerbana Pilot ("Thunderbolt"), 2x Phase II Clone Pilots (501st, Odd Ball) Mandalorian Super Commandos ($14.99): Rook Kast, 2x Male Super Commandos, Female Super Commando Imperial Troopers Battle Pack ($14.99): 4x Experimental Stormtroopers. Essentially PDG Clones with DBG stripes (or other way around), with 4 unique heads. A New Hope Rebel Fleet Troopers ($14.99): A Remix of the 2008 Scout Speeder. 4x Rebel Fleet Troopers (LBG legs with black boots) The Empire Strikes Back Imperial Snowtroopers ($14.99): Snowtrooper Commander, 2x Snowtroopers, Hoth Biker Scout. Hoth Rebel Troopers ($14.99): Either they (a. bring back the 2015-2016 figures, or (b. make a new design that remakes the 2015-2016 figures. Seriously, the Hoth Rebels were perfect, and now they're evolving backwards.... Anyway, 4x Hoth Rebel Troopers with different heads. Return of the Jedi Endor Rebel Commandos ($14.99): Commander Rex, 2x Rebel Commandos, 1 Twi'lek Rebel Sniper. That's all for now! Long Live Battle Packs!
  12. Oh where to start? Endor Rebels, Hoth forces, Fleet Troopers, Phase I & Phase II Plain Clones, Battle Droids, 327th Star Corps, and Galactic Marines, Death Watch, the list is remarkably long.
  13. That would be nice, something in the style of last year's Bespin Duel. Vader, Tarkin, Motti, Tagge, and Yularen, call it a day.
  14. Don't care. Still want it. In all seriousness though, surely it can get a one off? The Galactic Marines are quite popular in the fandom just because of said "nothing scene" (didn't realize ORDER SIXTY-SIX was nothing but anywho...), and this is the only vehicle they're associated with, really. Besides, if it keeps popping up in wishlists, don't know but it would seem to me like there's some demand. Also, kids don't care if they recognize something, it's a clone vehicle with clone troopers. Throw in some droids and call it a wrap. This. Any obscurity argument seems really pointless considering Lego's track record with releasing sets nobody wanted or asked for.
  15. After acquiring last year's AT-AT, I found myself missing some Clone War-era walkers. Here's some ideas: AT-OT ($119.99): A much beefier release compared to the OG 2009 version. Troop complement of 20, and cockpit space for 2. Aayla Secura, Commander Bly, 327th Trooper x2, Clone Pilot, Super Battle Droid x2. UT-AT ($129.99): Not quite sure why this still hasn't been done. IIRC, there was a prototype made, but I could be wrong. Commander Bacara, Clone Gunner, Galactic Marines x3, Battle Droid x2. AT-TE ($119.99): While the 2013 one is essentially perfect, I'd argue for a new one. Commander Cody, Clone Gunner, 212th Trooper x2, Super Battle Droid x2, Crab Droid.
  16. Ooh, that's a wonderful idea. So, I know I'm late to the whole UCS Gunship figure selection discussion, but wanted to give my two pence: When the vote was going on, I remember my choices being quite simple: Clone Pilot, Yoda, & Clone Trooper. Despite loving ROTS as a better film, the Gunship, for all intents and purposes, works better as an AOTC set, especially given its iconic entrance in that film. As such, I had no interest in seeing figures from any other media in the UCS set. Now, I love Commander Cody (he's my favorite alongside Bly), but honestly, I'm okay with waiting for a more appropriate set for his inclusion (hopefully one with a Crab Droid as well ) If the rumors are true, and the figures are indeed Mace minifigin' Windu and a Clone Captain, I only have one minor complaint, and that is it should be a Commander (Ponds) instead of a Captain (or maybe it is, and the person just said Captain, who knows), as Mace and the Clone Commander (canonically Ponds) had more relation scene-wise. Otherwise, it seems like the proper garnish, if you will, to this display model. I do think a Pilot needs to be included, but we may not have the full list of figures (it could be just 2, or it could be at least 3). My personal lineup would be: Pilot, Trooper, Commander, Jedi (in this case Mace Windu), maybe Jedi 2 (Yoda or Kit Fisto). Also, Jedi Bob would be a cool nod, but perhaps Lego may think him a tad obscure (understatement of the century, I know )
  17. On the topic of dual-molded legs, while I think Daredevil doesn't need anything more, I do think it would've been cool to get some red/dark red arms/hands, and red/dark red legs. Just to break him up. But he's a fantastic figure regardless.
  18. In the meantime, that new monochrome figure set seems to include the Finn hair in reddish brown, which may be a reasonable compromise for now (iirc, it's only in black & nougat right now).
  19. The Elrond head for either Punisher or Sandman. 2015's Sandman used that head, and it kind of works. Or the alt clone face which had a smirk instead of a permanent scowl (for Sandman). https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3626cpb1222&idColor=90 (Sandman suggestion) https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3626cpb0753&idColor=90 (Mirkwood Elf head, not Elrond's)
  20. All in all, let's call it like it is: A lazy excuse.
  21. I tend to agree. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Kingpin would've fit, necessarily, but certainly if Spidey's the main focus, he should either be (a. Solo, or (b. New York's Only Spider-Man (). With that being said, I'm glad that Spider-Man's classic allies (Daredevil, Firestar, Black Cat), and a couple of street-level heroes (Blade, Punisher) finally got their chance to shine. I still could do without all the Spider-verse stuff. Give me Iceman, Silk, & Jessica Drew any day. At least those are still 616 characters, and they're Spider-Man related. Not getting the Fantastic 4 isn't too shocking, though. I'd imagine they'd get their own set rather than be included as extras in a Spider-Man/Avengers set. The X-Men might be an argument as to Iceman's exclusion, but then again, it's a tad bit egregious to have 2/3rds of Spidey and his Amazing Friends. Now, onto the Sinister Six: A $300 set should be as completionist as possible. For that price, it should be damn near mandatory to receive a full roster of characters. And by that I mean a full classic Six: (Doc Ock, Mysterio, Sandman, Electro, Vulture, & Kraven) especially given that we haven't gotten Electro in 7 years (from USM), and Kraven has been MIA since 2016. And yes, we have six Spider-Man villains, but they aren't the Sinister Six (Have Doc Ock, Goblin, and Venom ever been on the same team?). And even if we didn't get a classic six, for all the new heroes (a whopping 5), the amount of repeat villains (i.e. all of them) is staggering. No matter the (supposed) rationale, the choices don't add up. I love most of the super-powered characters we got, but it just doesn't make sense to "split them up" when this is a premier, collector-oriented set.
  22. My 2 Most Desired Marvel D2Cs: Avengers Mansion ($300+): Based of the comics. Full modular-style Mansion with training room, personal quarters, den area, kitchen & foyer. Front lawn, and gates also included. Some turrets for building defense, and that's pretty much it for the features. Figures (all classic): Captain America, Iron Man, Thor (w/Helmet), The Hulk, Ant-Man (new helmet), The Wasp (LMSH2), Hawkeye, Black Panther, Ms Marvel (Carol Danvers), The Vision, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Baron Zemo, Klaw, Radioactive Man, The Enchantress, Scourge. Battle the Masters of Evil at the Avengers' Mansion! Classic Helicarrier ($350): Another Helicarrier, but this time based on the comics. New windshield, which you can remove to access the interior. Removable bridge section, and brig compartment. Comes with 2 identical jets (4+ style). Figures (all comics): Nick Fury (Classic), Maria Hill, Jimmy Woo, Clay Quartermain, Jasper Sitwell, Daisy Johnson, Dum Dum Dugan, Sharon Carter, Captain America (SHIELD Uniform), 2x SHIELD Agents (w/backpacks), SHIELD Agent (Flight pack).
  23. I'd argue that heroes receive this treatment moreso than villains. Spider-Man will always sell, regardless of who he fights. Who he fights with, on the other hand, is a different story. If you count that as a valid reason not to make a character (fan-demanded or otherwise) Or Yuri, who would also tie to the PS4 game.
  24. Not gonna lie, seeing Bigfig!Rhino and Classic!Electro in newspaper prints but no actual figures is starting to piss me off... Quick thoughts, I like the set itself, lots of cool details and seems quite sizeable. As far as figures go: Best Spidey is Best Spidey, Punisher, Daredevil, Black Cat, Firestar, and the core Buglers (JJJ, Betty, Robbie, Peter, & Ben) are *chef's kiss*. Not a Blade fan, but he's pretty cool too. I love Mysterio, so seeing him again isn't too bad to me, Doc Ock, Goblin and Venom are boring repeats (and in the former two's case, awful variants), but they make sense (Spidey's three arch-nemesis in a Bugle Set for different story ideas). Terrible Sandman figure (what happened to the absolute unit we got in 2019?), and yet another Carnage (yawn). I get it, Spiderverse was really popular, but seriously: enough with the Spider-Gwens and Miles Moraleses. And Spider-Hams. I've got nothing against them in general, but the Spiderverse is starting to wear on me. Besides, we get them over say, Iceman (to compliment Firestar)? Hell, Prowler is a character somewhat overdue, and would still pay homage to the Spiderverse craze. Cab Driver is your standard "throwaway civilian", Amber Grant (who?) is the same. Aunt May and Gwen are alright, but ultimately just thrown in. Glad to have: Spidey, DD, Blade, Punisher, Firestar, Black Cat, JJJ, Betty, Robbie, Ben, Peter, Mysterio Boring, but understandable: Doc Ock, Goblin, Venom, Aunt May, Gwen Stacy. Meh: Cabbie, Amber, Ron. Getting tired of: Carnage, Ghost-Spider, Miles, Spider-Ham Would've rather had: Better Sandman (what've they done to my boy?), Classic Rhino, Shocker, & Electro, Iceman, any other street-level hero, hell, I'd take Silk or classic Spider-Woman over another Miles/Gwen/Porker. Also, Eddie Brock & MJ would've been nice. Will I get it, though? Most likely, yes. The Bugle itself is very nice. And there are some true gems among the figure selection. But Lego's figure choices continue to be missed opportunities almost every time.
