Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
ARC2149Nova replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I tend to agree. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Kingpin would've fit, necessarily, but certainly if Spidey's the main focus, he should either be (a. Solo, or (b. New York's Only Spider-Man (). With that being said, I'm glad that Spider-Man's classic allies (Daredevil, Firestar, Black Cat), and a couple of street-level heroes (Blade, Punisher) finally got their chance to shine. I still could do without all the Spider-verse stuff. Give me Iceman, Silk, & Jessica Drew any day. At least those are still 616 characters, and they're Spider-Man related. Not getting the Fantastic 4 isn't too shocking, though. I'd imagine they'd get their own set rather than be included as extras in a Spider-Man/Avengers set. The X-Men might be an argument as to Iceman's exclusion, but then again, it's a tad bit egregious to have 2/3rds of Spidey and his Amazing Friends. Now, onto the Sinister Six: A $300 set should be as completionist as possible. For that price, it should be damn near mandatory to receive a full roster of characters. And by that I mean a full classic Six: (Doc Ock, Mysterio, Sandman, Electro, Vulture, & Kraven) especially given that we haven't gotten Electro in 7 years (from USM), and Kraven has been MIA since 2016. And yes, we have six Spider-Man villains, but they aren't the Sinister Six (Have Doc Ock, Goblin, and Venom ever been on the same team?). And even if we didn't get a classic six, for all the new heroes (a whopping 5), the amount of repeat villains (i.e. all of them) is staggering. No matter the (supposed) rationale, the choices don't add up. I love most of the super-powered characters we got, but it just doesn't make sense to "split them up" when this is a premier, collector-oriented set. -
My 2 Most Desired Marvel D2Cs: Avengers Mansion ($300+): Based of the comics. Full modular-style Mansion with training room, personal quarters, den area, kitchen & foyer. Front lawn, and gates also included. Some turrets for building defense, and that's pretty much it for the features. Figures (all classic): Captain America, Iron Man, Thor (w/Helmet), The Hulk, Ant-Man (new helmet), The Wasp (LMSH2), Hawkeye, Black Panther, Ms Marvel (Carol Danvers), The Vision, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Baron Zemo, Klaw, Radioactive Man, The Enchantress, Scourge. Battle the Masters of Evil at the Avengers' Mansion! Classic Helicarrier ($350): Another Helicarrier, but this time based on the comics. New windshield, which you can remove to access the interior. Removable bridge section, and brig compartment. Comes with 2 identical jets (4+ style). Figures (all comics): Nick Fury (Classic), Maria Hill, Jimmy Woo, Clay Quartermain, Jasper Sitwell, Daisy Johnson, Dum Dum Dugan, Sharon Carter, Captain America (SHIELD Uniform), 2x SHIELD Agents (w/backpacks), SHIELD Agent (Flight pack).

I'd argue that heroes receive this treatment moreso than villains. Spider-Man will always sell, regardless of who he fights. Who he fights with, on the other hand, is a different story. If you count that as a valid reason not to make a character (fan-demanded or otherwise) Or Yuri, who would also tie to the PS4 game. -

Not gonna lie, seeing Bigfig!Rhino and Classic!Electro in newspaper prints but no actual figures is starting to piss me off... Quick thoughts, I like the set itself, lots of cool details and seems quite sizeable. As far as figures go: Best Spidey is Best Spidey, Punisher, Daredevil, Black Cat, Firestar, and the core Buglers (JJJ, Betty, Robbie, Peter, & Ben) are *chef's kiss*. Not a Blade fan, but he's pretty cool too. I love Mysterio, so seeing him again isn't too bad to me, Doc Ock, Goblin and Venom are boring repeats (and in the former two's case, awful variants), but they make sense (Spidey's three arch-nemesis in a Bugle Set for different story ideas). Terrible Sandman figure (what happened to the absolute unit we got in 2019?), and yet another Carnage (yawn). I get it, Spiderverse was really popular, but seriously: enough with the Spider-Gwens and Miles Moraleses. And Spider-Hams. I've got nothing against them in general, but the Spiderverse is starting to wear on me. Besides, we get them over say, Iceman (to compliment Firestar)? Hell, Prowler is a character somewhat overdue, and would still pay homage to the Spiderverse craze. Cab Driver is your standard "throwaway civilian", Amber Grant (who?) is the same. Aunt May and Gwen are alright, but ultimately just thrown in. Glad to have: Spidey, DD, Blade, Punisher, Firestar, Black Cat, JJJ, Betty, Robbie, Ben, Peter, Mysterio Boring, but understandable: Doc Ock, Goblin, Venom, Aunt May, Gwen Stacy. Meh: Cabbie, Amber, Ron. Getting tired of: Carnage, Ghost-Spider, Miles, Spider-Ham Would've rather had: Better Sandman (what've they done to my boy?), Classic Rhino, Shocker, & Electro, Iceman, any other street-level hero, hell, I'd take Silk or classic Spider-Woman over another Miles/Gwen/Porker. Also, Eddie Brock & MJ would've been nice. Will I get it, though? Most likely, yes. The Bugle itself is very nice. And there are some true gems among the figure selection. But Lego's figure choices continue to be missed opportunities almost every time. -

This is beginning to feel like a "Bruh" moment, but just in case, I'm guessing the comma is important here, right? So, we are getting new villains? If we get retreads, then I suppose that can mean classic versions of characters we technically already have (Shocker, Electro, and Rhino first and most importantly), whereas if we get new villains, then characters like Morbius, The Lizard, and Silver Sable are still on the table. That's a bit better, as honestly I wouldn't mind if it meant getting the classics we've been needing forever. -

Scrapped Scrapping my ENTIRE previous post just because of this. Not gonna lie, a $200+ Spider-Man set with only one villain sucks on almost every conceivable level. -
My hopes for a DC Series 2 CMF (Some overlap with @cosmic): 1. Wally West Flash (Rebirth) 2. Batman Beyond (With extra head & hairpiece) 3. Troia 4. Kyle Rayner 5. Mera (Classic) 6. Captain Atom 7. Vixen 8. Black Bat 9. Heatwave 10. Ventriloquist w/Scarface 11. Circe 12. Larfleeze 13. The Question (Vic Sage) 14. Lilith Clay (Rebirth) 15. Metallo 16. Superman (New 52) As far as new characters go, would love to see Superman and Flash get more rogues (Metallo, regular release Bizarro, Silver Banshee, Toyman, Livewire, Pied Piper, Top, Weather Wizard, etc.) as well as some more powerful league villains (like Black Adam, Vandal Savage, Doomsday) Future League recruits should be Captain Atom, Vixen, The Atom, Zatana, Black Lightning, and Booster Gold. New Bat-Fam: Cassandra Cain, Stephanie Brown, Bluebird, comics Alfred. New Bat-Villains: Mad Hatter, Bigfig Clayface, Black Mask, Anarchy. And Teen Titans: classic Kid Flash, Raven, Aqualad, Wonder Girl, Speedy. Obscure wants include Ice & Fire, Doctor Light (Kimiyo Hoshi), Orion and Mister Terrific.

Jay Garrick, Bumblebee, Metamorpho, Mister Miracle, Simon Baz, Stargirl, Huntress, and Jayna. Don't really care about/count the Superfriends or non-comics figures. Only Bat-Fam I'm missing are Ace and Red Hood (Though the LBM cmf provided a good head for a custom). Oh and I don't have Katana. -

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
ARC2149Nova replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I know Lego has a purchase limit of 3 for any set, but here's my question: I bought 3 of the 501st Legion sets around New Years, and I want to order 3 more. Will they cancel my order, or has enough time passed for them to not care? There are alternative sites/stores which have them in stock from time to time, but ordering from the source would be much more convenient. -
It's been awhile, but I've got some ideas! A Mandalorian Wave (spoilers for Season 2) Also, happened to find two AATs at my local Walmart (well three, but I decided not to be greedy ), and I love my Ahsoka and 332nd minifigs! I would love a Battle Pack of just them and maybe a Night Owl or something. Siege Troopers Battle Pack (Version 5.1, $14.99): Bo-Katan Kryze, 2x 332nd Troopers, ARC Trooper Jesse. (I wanted to put Rex, but I can't do that. ) @Mandalorianknight Holy wow, your Solo wave is just The Duel idea is very clever.

LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
ARC2149Nova replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
In the vein of @BigGuy4U, I agree it's silly to expect sets for the Clone Wars to be sans clones. I understand not liking the clones (sorta but not really), but you could always sell them off (after all most of us love the clones). Also, we've actually haven't been getting as many clones as we once did. -
Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
ARC2149Nova replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Almost every version of Kingpin (sans Netflix) would be a bigfig, so even if we get the classic white suit it'll still be a bigfig. I do think if it's not Kingpin, then Lizard is the next best choice. For a $50 set, I'm really hoping it has a bigger villain. Thinking really hard about it, the set name could be a roundabout hint towards Lizard (the sewers count as a "hidey-hole"), but that's probably more thought than Lego's put into the entire theme. I think there's a silver Armored Spider, who was in the Spider-verse comics event, which is the other side of the coin I mentioned. Like @Guyon2002 said, Silk (real name Cindy Moon) was bitten by the same spider that bit Peter. I think she was hidden away, or something weird like that, before debuting with the Spider-verse event. On that note, I'd really love to see Morlun get a figure (despite how unlikely that would be). -

Well, after the Tumbler, the Bat-Cycle, the Batmobile, the Batwing, maybe TDKR's Bat? Then the Whirly-Bat, or the 1966 Batmobile. Then all three Arkham Batmobiles, the 2 or so Arkham Batwings, the BvS Batmobile and Batwing, I see your point. -

In his imagination. (Seriously, he's Spider-Man, he doesn't need vehicles) His only real hideout/base is his apartment. (Also for the record, that episode of USM took place in Boston) -

I'm not huge on the mechs, but they're decent for what they are, I suppose. If we get Classic Cap/Thor, they may be worth a pickup. Ghost Rider's car is interesting, chances are they'll toss in Spider-Man, but the villain is what intrigues me most. Hopefully it's not just a car-based rehash of the 2016 set (with Hobgoblin), and hopefully no symbiotes. Would kill to get a classic Electro, as that would at long last complete the Sinister Six. Spider-Man Hideout hopefully isn't what @Fenghuang0296 thinks it is, and I mean that in the best way possible. I firmly believe that it's actually going to be some sort of villain hideout, (after all, Spidey doesn't have a Bat-Cave, Spiderverse be damned ) which leads me to believe we may see Kingpin and/or Daredevil finally. Throw in another Mysterio, and I think this could be a great set. It's the only one I'm really excited for, provided it's not Spider-Man's hideout. Hopefully none , but I wouldn't mind an Spider-Knight/Armored Spider-Man, or Ashley Barton. Actually, Silk would be the best choice, as she's the only main-universe Spider we haven't gotten yet (including SDCC's Jessica Drew) -

One set we know of, and it's 4+... I'm not really excited for The Batman sets, was hoping we could rotate another JLA wave in here, but it looks like that'll have to wait. As long as it's not another Bat-Vehicle, I'm down. Don't get me wrong, the 1989 Batmobile is cool, and I'm assuming the Batwing will be great too, just hoping for something a little less... Batty. -
Yes there should, at least to me. I always like a collection of scene-specific figures. I'd prefer BoShek, Elis Helrot, Zutton, and Feltipern, and I do think they should be specific characters, not just representatives. Not really sure how they could pull it off, but another battle pack like the Tatooine one could work. I also personally think the Kenner figures shouldn't have any bearing on the Lego design, just like they don't with Hasbro's modern figures.

ARC2149Nova replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
"If what you say is true, then you will have gained my trust." Honestly, that sounds like a great idea. The figure selection still worries me, but a decent TIE and X-Wing for such reasonable prices will make up for the seemingly lackluster wave. Imperial Shuttle will only interest me if they include Biker Scouts or Rebel Commandos. The TIE Fighter sounds like it'll look close to the Rebels design (with an over-sized cockpit and stubby wings), so it'll be interesting to see how they pull it off. I for one hope the nose on the X-Wing has the "slip-on" detail (the nose cover looks sorta like a shoe), so if they get that right at least, I think I'm on board. Holding my breath, of course, but I'm a bit more hopeful. -
Hopefully this can kickstart the thread: Figures I really want to see: Comics Vixen Captain Atom Red Tornado Comics Mera Cassandra Cain Booster Gold Wally West (New Earth Kid Flash or Rebirth Flash) Parasite Black Adam Also, I feel we need to see more Superman sets. Next to Batman, he's the most popular DC hero, followed by Flash and Wonder Woman, and all three of them need more sets. Something with Superman fighting Metallo, Toyman, or even Silver Banshee would be really cool, plus I'm shocked we haven't seen more supporting characters, a la Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen. Wonder Woman could use the same thing, maybe a re-imagining of the Ares battle set with Giganta instead of Ares, comics Steve Trevor and a Wonder Woman figure (maybe a new version of the 2012 figure), maybe add Circe for good measure. The Flash is really surprising considering his sudden popularity rush, especially since, unlike Green Arrow, he's got a decent list of memorable villains. Weather Wizard, Heatwave, and the Pied Piper could all be used to great effect, heck, through in a Bat-variant (foil suit, etc), and make bank. But what I'd really like to see is a non-Batman related D2C. Hall of Justice is the easiest choice, but a Watchtower satellite or Legion of Doom HQ would be welcome as well. Maybe Belle Reve as a counterpart to Arkham, that way we can get even more unique villains. So many possibilities, if only they'd have the Will to experiment...

With the exception of the potential Mandalorian set, this year is setting up to be the worst LSW year to date. Do we know for sure if the X-Wing, TIE, and Lambda are going to be regular set "scale-downs" or are they likely to be bigger 4+ models? ("5+"?) If these are just scaled back a bit, then there's hope, but even still, the rumored figure selections for the TIE and X-Wing seem very bare minimum to me. Maybe pictures will sway my mind...
