Are you counting the RO helmet design/s? Because the Rebel Fleet helmet, the A-Wing Helmet (from Battlefront), and the Endor cap have been around for years. Edit: You must mean the pilot helmet. Sorry. -

Not gonna bother reading through all the excitement/complaints, but I just want to say a few things. I love it! It's much larger than I expected, and I think it'll be a better value than Cloud City (based on mass alone) I spot a Givin! And of course Momaw Nadon and a Devaronian. Imperial Spy was not an inclusion I expected, however, I'm glad to get him finally. Now to get hundreds of Sandtroopers to zipline in from out of nowhere! Glad we get the Dewback mold again, as I have a strong distaste for brick-built creatures, but sad to see no Ronto I'm glad this is solely the cantina, with some side elements/buildings, instead of an attempt to make the cantina + docking bay. It feels fuller this way, and I believe will make for an amazing set. And the biggest one: MBS is not dead! Thank the maker! Hopefully this means more MBS-style sets to come, even if it's one every two years (Cloud City was in 2018). Well, correction, no Givin , but that triple-vertical-engine landspeeder that I've been predicting since Day 1! I love this set. I have no space for this set. But I need this set. -

Sorry, I meant a excuse to get those figures, like an ITT, I can only imagine them doing a set or two in 2021, but there's always room for more. -

I'm honestly surprised people still debate this. Unlike other themes (and for LSW, sub-themes), Rebels is pretty much the only one that was outright stated to sell poorly. It sucks, because I do believe there's still a lot of set material worth mining, but Rebels, imho, was probably the turning point in the decline of animated series sets. If not precisely Rebels, then perhaps the Clone Wars waves from 2013-2014 (though I seriously doubt that). How soon is the question, though. I think if anything, we'll get some excuse for the remaining figures (Ultimate Mando, Gideon), and then that's that until Season 2. If Battle Packs are going in the direction of the 501st Legion, I think an Imperial Remnant version is likely next, possibly with an ITT, but that's discussion for another thread. I would assume so. I figure they wouldn't lock the release to 12:00 a.m. per individual time-zone. I'm not even sure how that would work, to be honest. And yes, I realize this is specifically about Canada, but I'd imagine the country would matter as much as or less than the time zone. Midnight EST seems like a good bet across the board. Likely the same time it will on Lego.com, which is to say midnight, release day. -

I think @Itaria No Shintaku hinted quite strongly at a Marvel series, citing the renegotiation of contracts as the cause. Then it was speculated that if Marvel was going to get a series (Itaria never being quite wrong), then Star Wars is a strong possibility as well. Of course, all of this is speculation, and I highly doubt a CMF is the root cause behind Battle Packs' disappearance. If a Star Wars CMF were in the works, then I suspect we'd get a few missing links in there (P2 Cody for one), and since CMFs tend to have a higher threshold for new molds, it could be a good thing. But, I think that's a long way away, if it ever even happens. -

It's the SCP Foundation all over again. I'll toss my vote into the keep-Battle-Droids-as-is camp, maybe they could strengthen the clips so they don't break as easily, and as someone mentioned, perhaps an update/tweak of the Super Battle Droid figure. I honestly think the Battle Droid is a remarkable figure design, since it's gone 21 years without any meaningful changes (the straight arm was helpful, but didn't change much). If they did update it, I'm sure we'd all adapt, but I think it's pretty amazing Lego got it so good on the first try. Lego's Battle Droid is very functional, to be sure. Any updates could create problems that reach further than the figure itself. It may not be 100% movie accurate, but it's better than we like to give credit for. -

What we're forgetting is that originally, the Bespin Duel was intended to be released at SDCC. Just like last year's Vader and Sith Trooper busts (which came out at Target later, at least Vader did). Since Comic Con was cancelled (in person attendance at least), they simply skipped to the store release. If it is only available in the US/Canada, it's somewhat reasonable, considering the set's initial release plan. I do concur that it's frustrating if you aren't in the US, however. -

Not that I watched the video, but I imagine if they said something along the lines of "It's a Target exclusive in the US", then that's probably the case. I highly doubt they would region lock it, especially since SDCC was cancelled anyway. The Bad Batch theory is interesting, and I would imagine them making it into Winter or Spring next year in some form. They could even do a 4+/Action Battle-esque MTT if they wanted to. -

Honestly, that's something I always felt about TLJ. It was more of a Marvel movie (tone-wise) than a Star Wars film. -

No. George Lucas made the story that the sequels attempted to follow up. In comparison, Marvel Studios produced Iron Man to Avengers: Endgame + whatever comes next, but Kevin Feige was primarily at the helm of all it's major story decisions. The MCU was a planned event, TROS was not envisioned back in 1977, hell, the prequels weren't what they are now back then either. My only point is that the sequels are recently conceived additions to the franchise, and were not part of George's initial vision, nor did he have any hand in crafting them. It bothers me, because unlike Endgame, there was no forethought. They didn't even use George's original ST plans (for understandable reasons, to be sure), so to say it ends his Star Wars is just wrong. George Lucas' Star Wars was movies 1-6, anything beyond that are simply additions. Nothing wrong with adding to the story, but ROTJ was (for all intent and purposes) the "End" of the Skywalker Saga. This isn't a slight against the sequel trilogy, but rather an irritation at the specific marketing for TROS. EDIT to clarify: I'm not in anyway saying Star Wars should end with Episode VI, I'm just saying that the major story arc of the films (pre-TFA) was Anakin Skywalker's story, which ended at ROTJ. Claiming Episodes VII-IX finish that arc would be disingenuous, as they are their own movies, with an arc that's separated from the original six films (that arc being Rey's/Ben's). But all of that is meaningless. I would like to know about the misprint thing, though. -

Does it bother anyone else that Disney marketed TROS like it was Star Wars: Endgame? When Disney had no stake or claim to any of the six prior films? They act like this was 40 years in the making, when in reality it was only like 5 (if that). Question: Did any of you who've already received your 501st set get any misprints? I follow a lego misprint instagram, and apparently the 501st are rife with askew printing. Could just be a minor issue, but it does seem more common than others of its kind. -

It really doesn't matter. It's just that he's the most well known Lego YouTuber with a ridiculously sized clone army. -

Weighing in on the $15 Battle Pack thing, on one hand, it would suck to lose the best impulse sets Lego Star Wars can offer. On the other, let's be honest, Battle Packs haven't been much to write home about lately anyway. I can name like two or three Battle Packs from the last five years that were really good (RO Imperial Troopers, BF Rebel Alliance, 2017 FO Transport Speeder, 2020 Mandalorians). Not saying any of them have been terrible, far from it, but largely, I feel moving to a larger style set could be a good thing. If they keep the $15 "Battle Packs" around, I can see them being more squad/character focused. Like Jedi, Delta Squad, Rebel Pilots, etc. The $30 sets could be decent army builders, provided they have a complementary set in another price range (think AAT). For the Clone Wars, this is fairly easy. My question is, how will they expand the idea outside of that. The Empire and First Order would work well at this format, but other factions? Rebels? (maybe comic vehicles) The Naboo? Hutt Family? There's also the issue of how many figures we'd get with the $30 packs. 6 figures, 2 of which are Battle Droids (which Lego doesn't count but I do), doesn't bode well. I'd imagine they'd keep the standard four figures, with variance if it's a CIS set. I'd prefer five or even a straight six, but this isn't Ninjago. Another possibility is that Battle Packs may become 2HY releases, or even Spring releases. After all, 2018 did that with the Solo Wave (though there were winter packs, yes). In any case, this could be a good thing, or it could be counterproductive. We'll just have to see. -
I personally wouldn't want RO characters in a Yavin IV base, aside from perhaps Draven (Tantive IV was the same, but Bail was long overdo anyway). And I doubt we'd get 4 Fleet Troopers, even though that would be cool. A more reserved lineup would replace Pilot Luke (which is quite common) with someone like, say, Jon D. Branon, whose helmet we've already gotten, and you could replace Dutch with Davish Krail, another interesting helmet pattern. Red Leader stays put, it's a crime we've never gotten him, honestly. Overall, a good idea, but these would be my figure choices: Luke (Jacket), Han Solo (both medals are the CMF neck attachment), Chewbacca, Leia, Jan Dodonna, Mon Mothma (like Bail), Wedge, Biggs, Garven Dreis, "Pops" Krail, 2x Rebel Fleet Troopers, 2x Rebel Ground Crew, 2x Rebel Honor Guard, R2-D2, C-3PO, TIE Fighter Pilot, 2x Stormtroopers.

Looks good. Is that a custom face? Does the job well. The colors are switched, but if you're not too fussed on the details (I'm not) then it works better than I expected.

To be fair, the Landing Craft is far better known than the Diamond-class. It's kind of a droid army staple.
-
@Graupensuppe Crab Droid, SPHA-T, and UT-AT are way too long overdo. They could even do the Tri-Droid and UT-AT together as a Mygeeto battle set. I did have to look up the C-9979 (never knew that was it's designation ). I can understand why the landing craft would be hard to pull off, but we haven't even had it in polybag scale.

It's Tarkin's hair. Might be the lighting for you. Evazan could be uglier (but I'd have to see clearer pics), though I do like Ponda (assuming this is legit). The head only looks weird because they prioritized the vertical profile over the depth of the face. The "nose/bridge" is ever so slightly long, it should be literally a micrometer shorter, but overall it does look nice. All these years and I never noticed his mustache. I always assumed they were just updating the 2002-07 print to be more realistic. It's far closer to the 2014-19 style than 2008-10's animated clones. -

None, imo. TCW didn't even have Phase II armor until 2012 (show-wise) -
Despite literally getting one this year, I was thinking about a Mustafar Duel set. Hear me out: Instead of the usual, we could get Padme's Star Skiff (in flat silver, as someone suggested before), and a small control room for the Separatist Council. Figures included would be Padme, Obi-Wan, C-3PO, Anakin, Wat Tambor, San Hill, and 2x Security Battle Droids. It could focus on Anakin and Obi-Wan's opening parries, the fight on the platform and then the control room. Padme and the CIS leaders would be extras for us collectors, but ultimately side pieces (as far as marketing goes...)

It's an egregious oversight. Also, if anyone should have the top spot, it should be Luke. (honestly thought Rey was Luke before looking closer). This is outrageous! It's unfair! I do like Han's pose a lot though, it's somehow very in-character.
