We've had several, albeit none with the right helmet, but we have 2 AOTC variants alone. -

So I'm assuming that it is the accent color. That would certainly be a departure from the films, but nothing too terrible. Better than some random dirt stains. So far everything that's been (cheekily) hinted at seems quite reasonable. I hope the troop cabin is at least open-floor, that way I can stuff it full of >insert regiment here< -

If we were to get a scaled down Falcon, I'd prefer it not to drop below the $90 range. Episode IV version, with Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, maybe Princess Leia. Now someone mentioned a UCS/MBS Kamino, and I doubt that if they made one it would be focused around any of the animated shows, so no Omega, K-Security, or Phase II clones for that matter. I foresee a Kamino MBS including the following: Obi-Wan Kenobi (AOTC), Jango Fett, Young Boba, R4-P17 Lama Su, Taun We, Clone Commander, 4x Clone Troopers in plain white armor, 2x clone trainees in red outfits, 2x clone cadets. If they wanted to make a nod towards the cartoons, I can only see them including, at most, Shaak Ti. -

I think a motorized AT-AT would be absolutely amazing, but since most UCS models are primarily for display, I'd settle with the usual poseability. But for $800, motorized walking action would be amazingly absurd! -

If, and I stress IF the minifigure lineup is true, then I agree, a pilot is essential to the craft, even if it's mostly a display model (not that we aren't gonna load it up with troops anyway ). I still say Pilot, Yoda, and Private was the most ideal lineup, with Pilot, Windu, and Ponds a close second (even though we're getting Deviss instead, and no pilot. reportedly) Btw, for those confused, the Clone Commander seen with Windu in AOTC is canonically Commander Ponds, and Clone Captain Deviss was one of the red captains in said movie. -

1984 called, it wants it's censorship back. Slavery is a part of history, an ugly part to be sure, and one that has crossed every boundary, be it ethnic, racial, or regional. Censoring a word does nothing but bury the past. In a society striving to do better, we do better to learn from the mistakes of the past, so as not to repeat them. And every culture has been subject to oppression. Every single one of them. It's not a North American creation. But in the end, Star Wars has multiple references to slavery, and the harm it causes (Anakin being the principle example, but there are entire factions of slavers in Star Wars, like the Zygeerians). -

It's just a lazy naming convention. "Knights of Ren Transport Ship" and "Mandalorian Bounty Hunter Transport Ship" rolls off the tongue so much better than "The Night Buzzard" or "The Razorcrest". (I do understand the copyright shenanigans regarding the latter). General Grievous' Starfighter is a valid counter, but "Soulless One" is much less known than the Slave-1. It's just a bit jarring since they've been using the name since the beginning. I do agree it's not really important, but it is noticeable. -

But Leia was a slave? Jabba's a bad dude, he did bad things. Slavery is bad. Censoring the word "slave" doesn't do anything productive. Actually, the fact that Leia took out the galaxy's most vicious crime lord whilst in said position is quite the triumphant metaphor of overcoming one's oppressor. But what do I know? These sets are really good. Still getting the Light Cruiser and Slave-1 on release day if possible. And I'm quite happy to see that Moff Gideon does indeed have his glorious 'stache! I've gathered my new stormtroopers in preparation for the Trexler figures. But the vehicle itself (or three ) will look good on my Imperial shelf. I am among those disappointed with the reveal, but at least we have better set pics. -

I think it'll likely have an "open floor plan", to allow for either loads of cargo or a cadre of troops. I'm wondering if the sides will be able to hold figures like the carrier variant. Oh how I wish this had come out when the old helmets were still in use, I'd kill to have the mortar helmet in that style. Even still, they're really amazing. -

How about some people just get tired of the whole "you're wrong because I don't care" routine? I've said multiple times that if you like the set, that's fine. No one is trying to dissuade the hype. If the figures are lackluster (and they are from an objective standpoint, compare them to Vader, Boba Fett, any of the new Mando figs) that's a reasonable statement which doesn't need to be argued over. Making fun of and mocking people is the definition of toxicity, and it's frankly quite tiring. You could've just ignored my last post, but you clearly seem to think that everyone harping against me for my "opinion" is my fault. And stop trying to dismiss my points as just being my "opinion". I'm trying not to be antagonistic, but all I'm getting is mockery and snide comments. If you admit that the figures could be better (and I think we all agree they could be, that's consensus from everyone), then that's all there is to it. If you're fine with it, that's awesome! More power to you. If someone else is like "well I think it's rather poor" why go through this constant belittling and insult routine? Every time someone says something that's remotely negative, everyone comes out of the woodwork to shut them down because "nobody else cares so shut up". -

You people are a joke... Yes. I can. They aren't that great. If you admit they take shortcuts, then you by default admit that they could be better, this is logic 101. I don't really care, but you guys keep insisting that there's something wrong with the sentiment that the figures are inaccurate and thus fairly mediocre. No one cares if Veers has the wrong goggles, no one cares about them using a universal hood piece, hell, no one really cares about the Tank Driver/Shoretrooper helmet debacle, despite that being far worse than this. No one even really cares that the BB figures are lackluster, you keep defending something that needs no defense. Stop always trying to fight someone for criticizing something you personally have no issue with. It gets tiring voicing an opinion and getting mocked in reply. I find it downright laughable that you all sit there and admit that these figures miss the mark (however slight) and still try to argue like we're wrong. Now, for the love of Lego, let's drop this... -

People seem to think I care about the BB figs more than I actually do. I personally hate seeing people gush about stuff and dismiss any criticism of said product because "it's alright to me!" Full stop. Whether or not the product makes do, or you think it looks great isn't an issue. The Bad Batch shuttle is, imo, the least interesting set of this wave (save for maybe the Trexler, but I digress). They knocked it out of the park with the Mandalorian and Clone Wars sets, hell, I've even come around to the throne set. The Havoc Marauder is a thing, it does its thing, and it's an okay thing. The figures are there, but acting as if they're beyond critique just because (insert multitude of excuses here) is just jarring. The end point remains the same: regardless of "only X new molds", "other figures are better", "Lego did it's best guys!", or whatever, these figures just aren't that great. That doesn't need a rebuttal, it doesn't need a defense. At the end of the day, we'll all just deal with it. This is still by far one of, if not the best wave we've seen in a while, and nothing can really distract from that. If a few figures are lackluster, then they are lackluster. They do not require a defense, and neither does Lego. Ironically, those making the excuses actually prove the point that these figures simply aren't what they could have been. So why don't we all just agree to disagree? It's not like the BB aren't likely to be redone in the future, anyway. -

Yes, the cyborg arm with screwdriver attached. Sadly, in practice it would be way too long and unwieldable. -

I added the different weapons just to accentuate how different each member is. I for one don't exactly care about the reused helmets on Hunter/Echo, but for those who do, it's a tad tiring to hear about "Lego did the best they could!" or "Lego's knocked them out of the park" or my favorite: "It's Lego not Hasbro" (not throwing shade, I've seen it said many times about multiple figures in the past). Crosshair is the absolute biggest offender. I'm sure they could've squeezed out a couple of extra cents to make a proper helmet for him. Maybe if we get him in his OG outfit, I dunno. Also, I was a tad bit irritated at issues outside of the forum, so I admit I was a bit salty in my prior post. Echo's got far worse problems than the helmet of course, which, barring a new arm, will be difficult to rectify (even the current purist solution gives him an arm that's way too long). If you like them, fine. But I feel like making excuses for Lego (in general) isn't in anyone's best interests. They do what they do, and if it's not their best work, it just isn't. No ifs, ands, or buts. Personally I'm over the moon at the exceptional work done on the Mandalorian figures (still pissed about that Mortar Trooper helmet ), so the Bad Batch being "meh" doesn't move me either way. -

You people will take anything Lego throws at you... This is so...where to begin? Yes, I think we are all aware that Lego has it's own style, but for kriff's sake, they still make a concerted effort to get the looks as right as possible. This is uninspired at best. Some of these make bootlegs look better by comparison.. Crosshair looks nothing like Crosshair. Full stop. Hunter looks slightly like Hunter. Echo is weird because while I get it, it's just so off-putting that he and Hunter have the same helmet. The Bad Batch is supposed to be unique. Different weapons, different gear. They don't share the same helmets, because each one is fitted to their specific specialty. Yes, Tech looks great, so does Wrecker, and I'm not too bothered by Hunter, but come on guys. I would say its okay to be fine with mediocrity, but trying to say that "just good" is "good enough"? No. And had they scrapped those pointless speeders, they could've done better. I'm a minifigure collector first and foremost, so I'm gonna call Bantha bricks. Now granted, I tend to be bothered less by certain choices regarding minifigs (I love TCW designs, and the Rebels' Stormtrooper. Sacrilege I know), but I think these guys deserve all the hits they've been getting. I mean, would it have killed them to at the very least attempt to give Crosshair a new helmet? One with a hole, preferably. His rangefinder is critical to his character design. -

Using the same helmet for three out of the five Bad Batchers is quite ludicrous. Hunter's helmet is a "Phase II" variant of the Clone Commando Helmet, Crosshair's helmet is a modified Phase 1.5 ARC Trooper helmet, minus the fin, and Echo's helmet is essentially a glorified faceplate that covers around his cybernetics... Lego dropped the ball... Hard. Hunter isn't too bad, imo, but that helmet is extremely off. The entire shape is off. And Crosshair is just terrible... Imperial suit or no. -

I think @JLR was just joking, guys. I wanted to point out about what was said earlier about repainted species, technically, there is president for it: 2015's "Gallimimus" was notoriously nothing more than a repainted Coelophysis. And count me among those that prefer the 2015 I-Rex to the newer one. I think its ability to grab figures was a defining feature.
