  1. Yeah, I was a little bit skeptical about the source apparently just being a guy that works at a LEGO brand store. I know that legitimate leakers on here can’t reveal too much about where their info comes from, but would a random store employee even know that much? I mean, I could understand having an idea of what’s coming soon-ish, but do they even get stuff like the retailer catalogues? (Since every store gets more or less the same products other than the few regional exclusive keychains and stuff specific to cities like New York or Chicago). I mean, if store employees knew that much, I really, really, really cannot imagine that there wouldn’t be way more leakers out there, yet at the moment I can only think of maybe a dozen who are reliable 100% of the time and don’t just repost stuff from other leakers and claim they “broke” the story (aka, almost everyone on Instagram).
  2. Ah, never mind, then. Thanks! That makes a lot more sense, because I don't know how there would already be a figure for a set coming in six months. Although I do have several questions about that photo now...why is there a random figure from 7 years ago coupled in with leaked figures from a set coming in a month? Weird.
  3. Okay, this is a long shot, but there's some leaked photos on a certain social media app that mainly show a few figures from the upcoming Boba Fett/Bib Fortuna's Palace set. On the right hand side, you can see a figure in green with (what looks like) an older-style head mainly used in the the 90s Pirates line, along with a tricorne hat. I don't recognize the torso but it does look Pirate-y. While I think it would be way too early for a figure to leak of a set that isn't supposed to be coming until, if I remember right, August(?), is it possible that this points to the 90th Anniversary set being a Pirates set? The only reason I'm thinking it could be is because the figure definitely has a retro-y look to it, whereas I think a figure in a Creator pirates set would be more modern, same with any sort of modern Pirates line (though I don't think any are rumored for this year?). Anyway, just wanted to throw that out.
  4. It looks like the original tow truck has two hooks as well. In the box photo, one is connected to the boat, the other is swinging on the right.
  5. Thanks everyone for the answers! I've been meaning to get some PAB cups, as I do feel like they generally have a solid variety of basic parts (tiles, plates, doors/windows, wheels, plants and stuff), I wasn't sure if those were cheaper. I supposed the key is packing it efficiently/stacking bricks in the lid, and that sort of thing. I've thought about this, but I know that if I do start breaking sets down, they're never going to fully get put back together, unless it's one or two sets. I'm pretty meticulous about keeping my sets together, so I also don't think I can bring myself to do it
  6. At this point, my collection is entirely just complete sets. I would rather not break down my sets for parts, so I'm wondering what the easiest way is to get a lot of general parts for MOCs is. I'm not talking about designing a MOC on the computer and ordering the parts from Bricklink or PAB, but how I would go about just getting a lot of general pieces to build with. Buy sets on clearance for parts? Buying bulk sets of pieces? Breaking down your sets for parts? Or do most people just order the specific parts that they need for a MOC, then take it apart and add the pieces to their collection when they're finished? Just curious how others do it.
  7. Excellent work, and I'm excited to see what's next! My only hope is that the Ideas poll from last year showed that there is demand for an Adventurers revival. I know that the top four finishers were the "big three" in Space/Castle/Pirates and then Bionicle, but I have to imagine that Adventurers did decently well in that poll.
  8. Master Builder Series. Essentially it's the umbrella that the playset-style UCS sets fall under. They started using the label for the 2018 Cloud City and used it on the Cantina as well, presumably because a bunch of people were angry that the 2016 Hoth set was classified as a UCS model, so they needed a new label. Retroactively, you could probably consider the Assault on Hoth, the original Cloud City (I believe it is technically considered a UCS set, which has always been odd to me), Ewok Village, and both Death Star playsets as "MBS" sets, and if they did do another DS in such a style, it would most likely fall under that category as well.
  9. As of now, there's no real concrete information on the summer wave other than set numbers, prices (which are often subject to change) and piece counts for some of them. I'm sure that we will get more sets at some point, but whether they come in the summer wave or a future release depends on what else is in the summer wave.
  10. I suppose technically the Boba Fett ship could be a "soft pilot" for TBoBF sets. Anecdotally, that set seems to be selling extremely well around me, I've only seen it in stores a couple of times (whereas the Bad Batch and Mandalorian ships and the Ahsoka duel set have been plentiful) and it's been out for like six months. I could maybe see an Andor set if it's based on a vehicle we've already seen (I'm betting that a U-Wing shows up in that show again, which would be a fantastic excuse to give us another one of those, though it would have different minifigures), but I feel like Kenobi will be kept under wraps pretty tightly.
  11. So now I'm curious - were the leaks wrong and Boba/Jabba/Bib's palace comes with seven minifigures (Bib Fortuna being previously unknown? Because there's no way they'd just label him as "generic crime person" or whatever, and he's definitely identifiable) or is it still six minifigures and one of these that leaked is coming in another set? I know in the past there's been sets that end up having more figures than the unofficial leaker descriptions of them say (for example, the X-Wing last year was originally described as coming with Luke and R2-D2, Dodonna and Leia were total surprises until the pictures came out, and the TIE Fighter used placeholder minifigure silhouettes from the Landspeeder, prompting this huge discussion about what minifigure could possibly be included that has short legs, until someone figured out that it was a Jawa), so it seems more likely that there's just a seventh figure and that's it, but I guess I just want to see if anyone can shed light on this or knows for sure.
  12. Dunno, the Bib Fortuna lekku appears to be the same as the previous Jabba's Palace, which I think wa also the last time we got Gamorreans.
  13. On further inspection, I agree that it's the lekku that's misplaced, rather than the head. Notice that the torso of the Twi'lek is definitely for a female, so I think that head has to go with it. So we're getting these two figures plus Bib Fortuna? I guess this set is based more off of The Mandalorian than Book of Boba Fett? In that case, I wonder if the rumor of the is true?
  14. Could be a case where someone mis-assembled the figures. I think that's happened with some leaks before.
  15. Last night, I watched Rogue One again, and it got me thinking about how we haven't gotten any more sets from it after the small second wave in 2017. For whatever reason, I highly doubt we'll ever get more either, but if we did get any more, here's a few that I think are possible. Imperial Hovertank ($49.99) - Similar in size to the previous model. The model includes the hovertank plus one of the arches/bridges on Jedha City. Minifigures are a Hovertank pilot, Stormtrooper, Cassian Andor, Saw Gerrera, and one of Saw's rebels. (I know including Saw isn't really accurate to the scene, but unless they made Saw's base, a Jedha City set is probably the one way to get him). Blue Squadron X-Wing Fighter ($49.99) - Includes General Merric, an astromech droid, a Shore Trooper, and Admiral Raddus U-Wing ($79.99) - Includes U-Wing pilot (blue squadron), Bistan, Baze Malbus, Chirrut Imwe, and a Rebel fighter. Imperial Cargo Shuttle ($119.99) - Includes Jyn Erso, K-2SO, Bodhi Rook, a Death Trooper, and two Rebel fighters. Scarif Citadel ($149.99) - The tower building with an open backside. Outside, at the ground level, there's a small landing pad and entrance door with some beach terrain. On the first level of the building, there's a command station (modeled after the room that Krennic watches the battle from) and the room with the vault door/computer station. The middle level is based off of the interior of the vault, with the databank tower. It also had a couple of platforms, the one that Krennic and the Death Troopers shot from, and the one that Cassian fell onto. The roof has the antenna dish and the bridge extending off of it. Minifigures are Jyn Erso (Imperial disguise), Cassian Andor (Imperial disguise), K-2SO, 2x Death Trooper, 2x Shoretrooper, Director Krennic, Melshi, and another Rebel fighter. Of course, I'd love stuff like an AT-UT or more Jedha sets, but I think realistically, those are probably what they would do if they made any new sets (and even the Blue Squadron X-Wing is a stretch).
  16. Just a single prediction, I think that the $30 4+ set coming this summer is going to be a Millennium Falcon with Han and Chewbacca.
  17. On the subject of the unknown figures, another one that I hadn't seen thrown around as a possibility (and one that seems somewhat likely, now that I think about it) is
  18. This is true, so I suppose hope is not lost! I do think that this character would make the most sense as one to include in the set, as they'd be a bigger draw than some of the other options for sure.
  19. I believe they wrapped in November, or at least wrapped on-location filming then. I'm not sure what the hold up on the release date was, since it certainly seems like they'd have enough time to finish the movie for a June release. Perhaps they were concerned about their timetable in that case having almost zero margin for error (ie, not much time for re-shoots and stuff) and pushed it back since they wanted a summer release. I can't imagine that it wouldn't be done by next fall/winter, but I guess that they want this to be their summer blockbuster. If this theme only has four sets...I'd definitely be a little bit less excited about it, or at least hoping that there's a larger wave in 2023. I think that there pretty much has to be a second wave tying in with the movie, right?
  20. I feel like Mario Kart would probably sell the best, seeing as it's probably the most relevant of those other than maybe Odyssey, but it would probably be easier to do a set based on one of the open world games. Galaxy and Sunshine are obviously massively popular games and seen as legendary titles (especially as evidenced by the fact that they saw a re-release on the Switch), but I feel like the possible issue there is that they might be too similar to the question mark block. Micro-scale versions of 3D levels is probably only going to be able to go so far, and I'd argue that Peach's castle and some of Mario 64 levels are probably the most iconic out of any of the 3D Mario games.
  21. Apparently it's a 4+ set, which seems roughly in line with the pricing of other 4+ and Duplo sets. My guess is that the larger pieces are more expensive to make, because there are some Duplo sets that average out to a dollar or more per piece. The recent 4+ sets seem to be around that pricing level too. Poe's X-Wing is $20 for 54 parts and the TIE Fighter was $20 for 68 parts. The A-Wing was only $12 for 62 pieces, but my guess is that it's because there aren't really any specialized or very large parts in it.
  22. Bricklink has the white goggles if Lego is currently sold out. You could also acquire the Snowtrooper torso/legs via BL, if you don't already own one! For Obi-Wan's hut, I actually own the Cantina and have it displayed along with Obi-Wan's hut, as though it were a generic building in Mos Eisley. The architecture fits quite well with the Cantina and the side buildings that the Cantina set includes - at the very least, it's a good supply of tan bricks. It might be nearing the end of its shelf life, too, so there's a chance you could get it on clearance. And about the figures at Docking Bay 94, interestingly, I cannot seem to find names, surprisingly, seeing as almost every single SW background character has a fully fleshed out backstory! Nonetheless, I do not think that any of the characters match the Cantina minifigures, as the only humans in that set were Wuher (bartender), Han, Luke, Obi-Wan, the Sandtroopers, Dr. Evazan (was not at Docking Bay 94), and then the humanoid Labria (also not at Docking Bay 94).
  23. If you want to recreate that CZ-3 droid, it's made of the older style Snowtrooper torso and legs (This one), with a plain white head, and the aviator helmet/goggles combo in white (The helmet/goggles found on this figure, but in white). In terms of the scene in the docking bay, I count three human/humanoids, Boba Fett, and then the two Roadians wearing basically the exact outfit as Greedo. So, you would just need to make custom figures of those three, which shouldn't be terribly difficult. Finally, for a map, this seems to be the most comprehensive one I can find. There's a large overview at the top, and if you scroll down, there are closer screenshots of individual areas with a breakdown of what buildings/locations are found there. Of course, I think you may have to take some creative liberties to make everything fit, but that should be a good starting point. One other idea, both Obi-Wan's hut (if you can still find it) and the MBS Cantina are going to be fantastic sources of parts or buildings. With the Cantina, the set costs $350, but the minifigures re-sell online for nearly $150 collectively. In theory, you could purchase multiple copies of the set and re-sell the desirable minifigures, as well as the extra speeders, and then keep the extra Jawa or Sandtroopers to populate your display.
