  1. The tracked loader has a turret, whaaat Well, another no buy wave for me
  2. Wow the front of the Porsche, ugly AF
  3. Do not hesitate to send me a PM, thanks
  4. Light bluish gray
  5. Last year we got 1H leaks the 22th of august.
  6. Mh, transition from 9V to PFS wasnt a huge move. Good ol' 9V just passed away. 9V was better than PFS for one point: separated cable from the motor Otherwise, PFS added a lot of things: Remote control, a wide and user friendly range of motors (M/L/XL/S/E/Train), easy lights, two formats of battery box, two kind of controlers, pole reverser included on the switch/RC, etc. And, the most important, it was (partially?) compatible with the 9V system. PU doesnt add so much, its a huge step back (atm) and it will not be compatible with PFS (I personnaly have around 30 PFS motors, so i'll never purchase any PU stuff if Lego choose not to produce an adaptator). I think the PFS is totally fine, its appropriate for most uses. Lego remove a entire system just to add a touchscreen control. wow... the best would have been (from a customer perspective) to have 3 separate systems, PFS for technics and simple motorised sets (Creator caroussel), PU for trains or small educational and robotic stuff, and then the Mindstorms.
  7. And PF elements are so damn expensive, it will be hard to purchase a stock before they disappear (and I hope i'll never buy PU).
  8. It's also what I would like, but the text does not say that.
  9. No, because as said, its a value judgement, an affirmation, not an opinion. Value judgement: "you are not a true lego technic enthousiast because you dont MOD". Opinion: "I personnaly MOD my sets to improve them, I like it, but I totaly unterstand that some never do " Watch and learn the difference
  10. Personnaly i'll never spend 200+€ to get a unfinished or poor finished stuff (technic or not) + €€€ for parts in order to modify it, unless I really really want it. If you want to modify it, you are totaly free to do so, but its not a argument, its a personal choice and by no means an obligation. If someone is so smart, he build its own crane/whatever without purchasing any sets. You really have trouble with differing opinions In your opinion, the set is really good. In my opinion its a average set (average, not catastrophic). These are just opinions, not an absolute reality. You do not hold the absolute truth because there is none. Absolutely ridiculous "True Lego techinc follower" doesnt mean anything, its a value judgement. They are no true or "not true", its not a competition, just, peoples buying sets, some without MOCing nor MODing them and its not a problem. Lego's are what people want to do with. Everyone lives their passion in a personal way. Maybe you want to judge me on my collection. Enjoy, and tell me if im a "true" https://brickset.com/sets/ownedby-Timoonn/theme-Technic https://brickset.com/sets/ownedby-Timoonn Joke apart, it's crazy how sometimes the discussions become pathetic as soon as we dont follow the common opinion. I just explained that this set does not excite me and why. Take it easy.
  11. Mh, not really, remember the "Lego for men" campain years ago. That kind of products aimed for young adults and adults (back in the days, when the "big" sets were maybe less.... "toyish"). 8043, 8110, etc. At the end they have the right to not care about these "things" as much as I have the right to do so, it's a personal opinion.
  12. No, many negative points make me follow this decision (without surprises). The model brings nothing new compared to my 42009 (except the motorization of the rotation) and my requirements are high. Turret rotation is slow and struggling and without self-locking mecanism without the gearbox engaged. The weakness of stabz The general shapes and aesthetics and especially the turret (confirmed by the video). The lack of a true self-locking mecanism for the winch and the extension This arm that does not go down horizontally. And other small things The model really has nothing transcendent for me (except these back gear racks) This is not up to par for a model of this price range. We see the limit of making unnecessarily big models. But no doubts some will like this model, especially younger builders.
  13. Is that the lowest boom position? I will not buy this set, its confirmed (not only because of that)
  14. So, can the outriggers reach the floor without 6x6 plates?
  15. The fig come from the 7040, it's the only one in my collection witch have this problem While there is never any mechanical effort at this point of the leg, and that the fig was not nested on anything since 2008. Is this color (reddish brown) is more problematic than others?
  16. Model assembled last christmass only one part cracked (at the moment)
  17. Because they know it sucks Strange they put the hog in the back
  18. You love being wrong Air tank sets was "light" and "medium" pneumatics sets. 8459: 3 "small" cylinders, 2 functions The submarine 8250: only one single cylinder 8462: two tanks for only 3 functions and 3 classic cylinders. Do not need a huge pneumatic set to justify an air tank back in the days. Bigger pneum means more pumping anyway. (but crossing fingaz for a 8455 2.0)
  19. Remove PFS: put a manual pump and one or two air tank: instabuy Why the hell Lego do not release air tanks, it would be perfect for Pneumatic 2.0
