I suspect that we will be getting more High Republic sets in the future, since The Acolyte is on its way, and multiple established HR characters are set to feature in Young Jedi Adventures. Also, we have gotten one YJA set, and there is a second coming out next year, so the High Republic era is represented in LEGO form. True, but the concept art and animatics were done pre-Disney.

According to who, exactly? You may not like Disney-era content, but that does not mean that “most people” do not; also, I feel like many tend to forget that Rebels is from the Disney era!

The prelim seemed to use the grey-and-black Viking torsos as generic non-faction armour for the guards. The Lion’s castle gave us the Yellow Castle shields (minus the Crusader cross), the classic red/white split shield, and the crossed axes variant as a shield for a total of five Easter-egg shields; I can see the village shieldsmith getting at least the two classic checkerboard designs, the classic three-section design, and the Black Knights’ shield. Wolfpack is possible as well, along with a Black Knights’ oval shield, and a Dragon Masters shield (if they appear in the Majisto GWP).

@Renown is legit. The Midi Leviathan was just speculation Re: Malak prior to our finding out about the anniversary Minifigs; Fives comes in the Tantive IV boarding set (along with Vader, Captain Antilles, and two each Stormtroopers and Rebel Fleet Troopers).

I was referring to the robe-over-armour style. And the red switch is on the wrong side for him to be RotS Vader! The Kenobi version is different from the ANH version (ANH has the robe over the armour, while Kenobi has the armour over the robe). The chest boxes are the same, though.

Ah. On one hand, it is an iconic scene; on the other, it means that we are just getting a duplicate Cap. 🫤 I wonder if any of the HYDRA agents will be included (since the set is drawing from Endgame as well).

That would be weird if they do not also include the other Avengers and AoU variants.

We got one in the Rebels A-wing vs. TIE Advanced set.

I meant that we can still probably see at least some things from the Classic Trio on Ideas, if only through Target or BrickLink programmes (one of the recently-approved BDP sets is a pirate cove hideout).

It could just be a casual variant. In fact, I can see a number of casual/party variants of the Avengers, since they can be made with existing pieces and used to recreate Ultron’s first attack.

The original Vikings sets are almost 20 years old! Also, they fit in well alongside traditional Castle sets, which is why I included the village as a Castle/Castle-adjacent Ideas set.

I can see that either being printed, or the ‘nose’ section being part of the upper helmet. BTW, this is just rampant speculation on my part, so as not to get our collective hopes up for new, unique, moulds for these anniversary Minifigs (Fives, for instance, can be made with existing pieces).

You joke, but this would actually be really fun (especially if the GNK droid is Gonky!).

If they moved Ultron’s ‘ears’ to the top half of the helmet, Malak’s jaw could be reused for Ultron as well.

And Vader! This set went from not interesting me at all to a must-have! I just hope that Vader has the proper torso print. Talzin would be amazing!

Good! I was worried that his jaw was going to just be a print. BTW, can you tell if the mould is unique, or a reuse of a new Ultron jaw part?

The two on the ends are from old CMFs (princess and elf, respectively), while the third from the left is from Monkie Kid.

I feel like Forestmen are more likely for a regular set, while the Wolfpack get a GWP and cameo in either the village or a Forestmen set. If the village does not have any goats, that will really get my goat (and the set will no longer be the G.O.A.T.)! 😡

We also need the Black Knights’ shield (both triangle and oval types), and ideally also the Dragon Masters (so that they can be included in the Majisto GWP). I could also see us getting the remaining Classic Castle heraldry (minus the Templar cross, obviously!).

Was a specific number of sets given, or just “more Castle is coming. . .”? They could be referring to the Majisto GWP or a 2024 GWP tie-in for the Medieval village.

Malak and Fives are confirmed, but Revan is still up in the air.
