Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Lady Jessica. Gurney Halleck. Liet Kynes. She has an alternate expression with a mask, so you would need to use a long (non-Mohawk) hairpiece. I think that it would also work for Photon, though this head is a bit lighter than Monica’s unpowered heads (CMF and Hoopty). Paul Atreides. Chani. Her alternate expression has a mask and blue eyes, so it would not work for MJ. -
A llama at the size of the centaur would work, since that is sufficiently smaller than a horse. Maybe there is a chance? We did get a dolphin once. 🤔

Discord, though they are also on Reddit. -
Probably; they should be somewhere between the sizes of the foal and horse moulds. I highly doubt that bigfigs will appear in CMF lines; they would not fit into the boxes, and they cost more to make (so LEGO would not be able to include them without bumping the price up).

I want both, but camels are less useful and more difficult to include in sets than goats are. Goats can appear in any farming or Castle set, while camels are fairly limited to desert-based sets (of which we have not gotten many since PoP!).- 5,894 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

The lack of X-Men and F4 are definitely due to Fox having the film rights to them up until a few years ago. Symbiote Spidey is a bit of a mystery, however, as we get a lot of Spider-Man sets! -
I agree on Black Knights and Dragon Masters, but I feel like the remaining Classic Castle (Yellow Castle era) shields (checkerboard and three-section) are more likely to appear than the Royal Knights (considering the appearance of Classic Castle shields in the LKC). That being said, considering that the set has a tax collector (and since the LKC lore bits state that the Lions and Falcons are houses within a broader realm), I could see the Royal Knights’ heraldry being used in some capacity. 🤔

Where did you see these? Edit: I just saw them; the dress is nice, as well as dark red Santa (mostly for his legs), but the snow-shovelling crook is made entirely from existing, readily-available, parts!

The upcoming GWP is Majisto’s workshop, which covers the magical element. The village is not likely to have anything magical, but we could see the Dragon Masters appear (or at least their shield in the shieldsmith’s shop); also, the cone hat shown in the video could make a comeback as well (given that it appeared in a number of classic Castle sets, to include the Guarded Inn). Correct. Majisto will probably have his original hat (as he did in the LKC).

Yep. 👍 Though I thought that the most recent name for the set was “Medieval Town Square”, not “Medieval Market Square”.

The front canopy piece is a new mould! I thought that it was this, but it is actually a new, more angular, part! It seems a bit small; the cockpit can only seat two, instead of five. His hair is just Tiana’s recoloured. -
The Ornithopter has multiple canopies recoloured in the new trans-black! Also, the wings appear to have a new mould as well. Edit: The front canopy is a new mould! It looks like an angular version of this piece.

All of the characters have new heads (even Paul, who could have reused an existing one). -
The Majisto set with a horse is the tower; the name of the GWP (Majisto’s Magical Workshop) confirms that it will be based on the horseless workshop, not the tower. The old Castle cone hat is in the video as well. That said, I can see it returning in the MTS.

Dune 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Mandalorianknight's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think so, actually! Dark green uniform (instead of black), cheek bone printing (making his face look more square), and Anakin’s hair (instead of Timothee’s BTS-style hair). Closer looks at the Minifigs are out: Kynes and Chani have alternate mask printing, Leto and Duncan have smiles/smirks (which suit them, IMO), and Paul just has a slight frown - No blue eyes even. Edit: I forgot to mention that I am extremely happy that they gave us the House Atreides uniform and armour in addition to the stillsuits; it would have been easy to just reuse the same printing for all/most of the characters, but this allows us to make different variants of the characters! -
Dune 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

This looks really good!! I am not fond of the glaring (and improperly-coloured) Technic bits or the lack of an interior aside from the cockpit, though. It seems like LEGO hit a weird midpoint between playscale and UCS with this set. The Minifigs look great, though I do wish that Kynes had gotten a lighter stillsuit (also, her hair is way too long; Mateo’s hair would be better for her). It is the cheekbones. Also, I am not sure why Paul even got a new head (unless the reverse has blue eyes), since he can easily reuse an existing one. -
Good point! This feels very intentional; the dragon plume could have been included in the background somewhere, rather than being placed directly in the centre of the frame! Also, the woman on the left has the classic cone hat, which might return in the MTS. 🤔

My guesses for the knights (if they are not just reuses of existing Minifigs) are either Black Knights or crossed-axe Lions. Either one would be doable with minimal new printing, and both can fit into the MTS quite easily. Good idea - A Dragon Masters knight would also make for a great CMF!

Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I was speaking more broadly; there are obviously exceptions (not to mention that the MCU is still good overall despite recent dips in quality, while the DCEU has only been varying degrees of bad-to-mid with no MCU-level highs). Additionally, for as good as movies like DoFP are, there is nothing that appears that would not look better with comic/animated designs (yes, Scott, I would prefer yellow spandex!). The Raimi Trilogy are the only pre-MCU movies that warrant sets (for post-2008 non-MCU content, most ASM material is covered by NWH, and Spider-Verse is so heavily comic-inspired that comic sets can serve as soft tie-ins). -

That is because the current universe sucks and the older movies are the only decent ones. Marvel is basically the other way around.
