I would suggest just making one Space lore topic both to avoid cluttering the forum, and because the themes overlap and intersect.

It looks like some kind of collar; blue would have been better than silver, though. I see it as a blue tunic with a red-and-black surcoat.

In great plenty, sure, but the overall number of people who buy a $50-$60 carriage would exceed the ones who buy a $400 castle, so LEGO would still be making a profit off of these sets. Exactly! Where did those pieces go?

I agree completely; there are no furnishings, and the fireplace looks awful. Also, I fully expected the classic dragon coins that have appeared in Harry Potter sets to show up here (for obvious reasons), but we did not even get crown coins! We really should have gotten torches, racks of potions, cauldrons, etc - For a “magical workshop”, it is shockingly bare. 😕 Stickers.

I think that PAB is only killing the small army-builder sets and Minifig packs of old; siege equipment, prison wagons, watchtowers, carriages, and other small-to-mid-size sets would still sell as they have something to offer beyond just the Minifigs. I mean that GoT changed the public perception of Medieval fantasy; Classic LEGO Castle was very heavily inspired by literary tropes, as those were the popular associations with the genre pre-GoT. After the show became a global phenomenon, those classic tropes were replaced by the more ‘mature’ themes of GoT in the public consciousness; LEGO wanted to avoid the connotations now inherent to Medieval fantasy, so they ended the Castle line in favour of Nexo Knights (a space theme with knights more than a castle theme!). I actually went into more detail on this theory in a couple of Instagram posts last year.

Same! 😬 A remake of either this or this, or of Wolfpack Renegades if they appear in the market, would be an excellent choice. I doubt that we will get Majisto’s Workshop again, since it will be available twice in November and past GWPs have usually sold out early into their second availability window (Forestmen, Blacktron). I am not sure if we will get a designated GWP for the MTS, but it would make sense and I hope that we do! Fair, but it would be another retro theme - Sabre Island remake?
-
We might get a new part; I was just speculating based on which of the existing parts would fit the design best. The best way to do this would be to just have a stud on the back (like the MotM armour), then a clip or scabbard part can be added as-needed for each character. I can actually see that happening at some point. On that note, I suspect that the Ninja’s heads will have alternate HUD printing, since the hoods look a bit like helmets with an inset visor.
-
Cole is using the previously-leaked transparent head, BTW. I like the design of the hoods, but they look a bit bulky; shoulder armour would balance the proportions out (which I assume that the completed Minifigs will have, given their gold hands and the small gold clasp on their right shoulders). The hoods seem to be compatible with all prior armour pieces, but I expect that this in gold is what will be used, since it aligns with the gold clasp on the torsos). As for Cole’s legs, he is absolutely going to have printing in the final version; his and Lloyd’s suits are identical in their design, so Cole is not going to have plain legs. I do expect that his legs will be orange, though, since he has orange in the same places on his torso and hood that Lloyd has dark green, and Lloyd’s legs are dark green. My guesses for the other Ninja’s colours (based on their S1 colours, which Lloyd and Cole have retained) - Kai: Red over dark red, Nya: Dark azure over dark grey, Jay: Blue over dark blue, Zane: White over medium azure.

The assumption is that the shield would be reused in the GWP if it were going to appear in the MTS. I still hold to the theory that Game of Thrones killed traditional LEGO Castle themes from around 2014-2021; knights and castles were still of interest to children, which is why we got Nexo Knights during this time, but more traditional Medieval settings were too reminiscent of GoT for LEGO. Only after the show ended with a flop in 2019 did LEGO start making traditional Castle sets again. Same - Black Knights are a better choice for the next big faction following the Black Falcons and Lion Knights, since their castles are black (thereby differentiating their set(s) from the LKC), and since they were the next faction to appear after the OG Lions and Falcons. Also, the Black Knights are better suited to a more realistic/daily-life set like the village; Dragon Masters could be a bit jarring in that context. That said, I do want them to reappear - Perhaps via a combination of Creator sets, GWPs, and CMFs?

I would love to be wrong, but I am just not getting my hopes up for a Dragon Masters shield.

Doubtful, since if we were getting one, it would have appeared in the Workshop GWP. 🫤

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Classic_Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That would be great, especially if they scale it to the gunship! Where did he say that? I am honestly not surprised, since getting Shock Troopers in two $30 sets in one HY felt unrealistic; my guess is that we get at least one 501st Trooper, and maybe an anniversary character? @Renown? I do not remember the original source. Three 212th Troopers with fixed helmet printing, one 212th Airborne Trooper, and the build is a Crab Droid! Make it happen, LEGO!! -
It looks very similar to Lloyd’s suit that leaked earlier - Perhaps S2 is going the route of S1 and giving all of the Ninja the same basic design for their suits? I am not sure that Cole will have orange legs, though, since those could just be a random part that the person with the torso stuck on; also, Lloyd has printed green legs, so given the similarities, I am not sure why Cole would have plain orange ones.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Classic_Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I can, actually; the 212th are one of the most iconic Clone units (only surpassed by the 501st), yet we have only gotten them in one large set and an Advent Calendar. People complained about the helmet printing as soon as images of the physical Minifigs appeared, and we have not seen them since. Additionally, the 2024 Clones vs. Droids battle pack would make more sense as a 212th pack, yet we are getting a three Shines and a Shock Trooper instead (which reuse existing parts, with the exception of the P2 Shiny helmet); I can see an earlier iteration of, or idea for, this set being a 212th pack that ended up changing because of the response to the 212th helmet prints (leading LEGO to make a pack with desirable reuses instead). I suspect that we will get a 212th battle pack with corrected helmet printing and Airborne Troopers either in 2HY 2024 or 2025. -
Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

It would look better with the grey base as the first floor. -
Done, though I thought that only embedded photos and links to images with watermarks were not allowed (so a link to a pic of a piece on Reddit would presumably be allowed). We saw the wolf warrior head, though, and there was nothing smoky about it. Also, smoke-people in wolf masks feels a bit excessive in terms of characteristics; I think that it is more likely that the wolf warriors are normal Humans and that this head belongs to a named character.
-
A head has leaked that seems to be for Ninjago - I think it may be Cinder. The assumption has been that the character will be fire-themed, but smoke would also fit the name (the Elemental Master of smoke in ToE was named Ash). Fair; I was just thinking of how they could differentiate between the two seasons if my theory turns out to be correct.

Not surprising, considering that the strikes have only just ended. I suspect that whether the set gets delayed will depend upon its release date; a January release will probably be kept, but March/April will likely be pushed at least into 2HY 2024.
