LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Classic_Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
YES!!! Which set will Minifig #6 be in; Creature - Young Leia, Death Star - Cal, Scimitar - Saw, so the sixth would be in the Dark Falcon? In that case, I feel like Nien Nunb is unlikely, since most of the anniversary ‘figs (Cal notwithstanding) are completely unrelated to the sets in which they appear. 🫤 -

To be fair, we do still need Ronin and a new Rescue! -

Very interesting - I believe that this is the first (modern) religious building that LEGO has made. -

That is absolutely adorable!! I love it! -
Very clever! BTW, a cheaper way of making early/late Stormies would be to keep the 2014 torso for the RotJ ones, but use the new 2023 torso for the earlier one. It lacks the circle on the belt, but it is easier to source than the 2012 version, and the stomach plate is more accurate. Also, 2014 has the stomach dots on the Trooper’s left (accurate to RotJ), while 2023 has them on the right (accurate to ANH/ESB).

Main Street Mafia 3 - Day Two

I have to agree. No one said anything suspicious today, but Sam seemed very suspicious yesterday - And pretty quiet today. I’ll Vote: Sam (Duvors), but I want to hear what he has to say for himself before we. . . you know. . . Oh, dear. . . -

He has a less bulky design in Andor, and his hair matches the Finn hair better than in any of his other appearances. If we do indeed end up getting Saw, I hope that his head does not have an alternate expression, since he is bald so often (J:FO, Rebels, etc)! -
These look really good! The Dragonstone Temple is gorgeous, and we get Euphrasia! The Shadow Dojo is excellent, though more of a facade than I was expecting (that being said (especially with the training area in front), it looks like a fighting game stage, which suits the tournament theme of the season quite well!). I really like Kai’s climber mech, despite the secondary arms being spindly (maybe they are retractable?), but it seems overpriced at $70. Speaking of overpriced, Arin’s buggy should be $10-$15 cheaper. I am not sure how I feel about the dark blue; it looks good, but odd in light of the colour being completely absent from his main suit. Riyu looks fine, but for $15 I can just get two and combine them into a less squished-looking model. Sora’s hairpiece looks great (and is quite overdue!), and the climber Ninja suits look amazing! The choice of head is strange, but since we never saw her hair in the show, maybe the part in the temple will turn out to be accurate?

I really think that the blue team leader (dark blue) should have been included in the command rover rather than the interstellar spaceship.

Main Street Mafia 3 - Day Two
Classic_Spaceman replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Oh, dear! R. . . Robert?! Oh, dear!! We simply have to do something about these Mafia! I. . . I think that’s why he was picked - He didn’t really accuse anyone, so there’s no obvious suspect. . . Oh, dear! I suppose we’ll have to think back over our conversations yesterday to figure out who could’ve done this. -
I agree (especially with the confirmed two additional sets coming later in the year)! I feel like we will either get a new full Space theme by around 2026, or space will be a larger subtheme of City (like Stuntz) for the next 2-3 years. City is the only one to have such an extensive space line, though; other themes just have one or two space-related sets. I thought that these were for June.

I am not sure that is likely, since the variety of Minifig torsos in the set is a higher priority than the detail of the printing. What I want an agreement for is no complaining when one of the guards ends up being female! Prelim: 12 Minifigs (two are guards), 19 animals (Horse, cow, calf, goat (2x), sheep (2x), cat, kitten, squirrel (2x), bird (4x), owl (3x), chicken). Guesses: Minifigs: Shieldsmith, innkeeper, cheesemaker, weaver, crook, tax collector, guards (2x); the other four are assorted farmers, vendors, and tavern patrons (and maybe an entertainer of some kind, per the prelim). Also, at least one Minifig is a child, and we get our standard 50/50 gender split. I expect the male and female peasant torsos from the LKC, along with the torso and legs from the CMF goatherd, to be reused; guards are either axe Lions or Black Knights, and the crook is either Forestmen or Wolfpack. I can also see the tax collector including a reference to another faction (maybe Royal Knights?) in the form of something like a brooch on their tunic. Shields: The shieldsmith will have reuses of the Falcon and Lion shields, as well as Black Knights, and maybe the remaining Classic Castle shields (no cross, obviously!). We might also get Royal Knights (especially if the tax collector has a reference to them), along with oval shields for our existing factions. No Dragon Masters shield, though maybe Fright Knights simply because the part is already in production. Animals: Horse (new colour, possibly reused from HP), cow, calf, sheep (2x), goat (CMF reuse) (2x), cat, kitten, rat, bird (1-2), squirrel (1-2), owl (1-2), Smowl, chicken (2x), dog, frog. Not really; Falcons and Lions (and Forestmen and Wolfpack) are different enough to tell apart, and torso detailing (crossed axe crest, chainmail, etc) can be determined by the print colour. I forgot about that! I think that a tapestry could be brickbuilt using 2x2 rounded plates, 1x1 rounds with holes through, and bars for support. I doubt that there will be any stickers, since the only throwback sets to use them have been GWPs (as the number of patterned elements exceeded the sets’ budgets).

I would be OK with Rebel Friend as an anniversary ‘fig only if he appears in Jedi Bob’s JSF, so as to fully embrace the meme nature of that set (maybe we could get a minikit side-build, as well). -

I am OK with one of the Fleet Troopers being a reuse from Yavin, but not both of them (especially since we did not get a new Vader torso!). 😕 -

Oh, dear! I don't want to pile on just to get a kill, and Jerry hasn't done anything particularly suspicious besides be quiet at the start. If I'm being completely honest. . . I think it's Sam. He's pretty calm about the idea of killing, like a mobster would be, and he voted for Jerry just because he'd been quiet. . . I'll Vote: Sam (Duvors). -

Nevermind. I just looked at the pics on Amazon, and it looks like the Yavin head for both. Ugh. 😕 An extension with Leia, R2-D2, C-3PO, and 1-2 Stormtroopers to recreate the plans, "Set for stun!", and droid escape scenes would be excellent! -

It is difficult to tell, but it appears to be a new head (though I still think that the same part is used for both Troopers). -
It is probably going to include at least one module/pod, but I suspect that the main structure will be an extension of either the ground base, the space station, or both. It will definitely be modular (include the attachment airlock pieces), however, considering how that is the main gimmick of the subtheme.

It would be great to get Tomb Raider sets, but if the "targeted at girls" thing is true, I hope that LEGO will not use Minidolls! Interesting. 🤔 This seems to definitively rule out ATLA, since a five-pack of Team Avatar plus Zuko would be an obvious choice.
