  1. Set 77012 (Indiana Jones - Fighter Plane Chase) contains an 8wide model of the white Citroën 11 légère cabriolet which the Joneses "borrowed" to escape from the attack of the German fighter plane (in "The last crusade"). I built my own version of this car using the classic Adventurers' cockpit piece in light gray. What do you think? Comments and critics are very welcome.
  2. The statue from set 70420:
  3. Yellow ones are the one and only ones. And classic smiley ones. Just because I am used to them as I grew up playing with them.
  4. Thank you for your thoughts! I totally agree with you. You can buy additional "smileys" on Bricklink.
  5. @icmThank you very much! Yes, doors are a must. And these 2017 doors in "bright light orange" are just perfect. I'm a big fan of the 2017 jungle theme and have almost all sets.
  6. @icm Thank you very much! In fact that wasn't so expensive: I got set 60267 with discount (30% ?) and one seller on BL had so many parts in stock that I had to pay shipping costs only once. If I remember correctly the price per tile was less than 0,50€, perhaps around 0,30€.
  7. The play-size LEGO-City-style Land Rover Classic Defender (set 40650) is an awesome set and its colour "bright light orange" fits perfectly to the 2017 City jungle subtheme. So I did some modifications: new mudguards and tires, new hood, doors, windows in trans-light-blue and some equipment on the roof. Its appearance is now almost identical to the trucks from sets 60160 or 60161. What do you think? Critics and comments are very welcome.
  8. The Jeep from set 60267 is a great car but I didn't like the stickers. That's why I looked for an other way to get the iconic zebra pattern on that vehicle. The solution was the 2x2 printed tile from set 6672, the "ancestor" of set 60267. So I bought 13 (!) of this tile from bricklink and that's the result I'm pretty happy with:
  9. HMS Lydia and Horatio Hornblower came immediately to my mind. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Happy_Return Great ship!
  10. Very reasonable! I love that strategy. 😎
  11. Yes, that torso is a great choice.
  12. Yes, I saw your post but wasn‘t aware that this was kind of an official information from the LAN.
  13. Concur! No, this information unfortunately hadn't reached this subforum ... I don't want to complain about that minifig but why isn't the torso (dark)green? And Gail Storm's original haircolour was brown, not dark orange. Yes, why not?
  14. According to @DuckBricks's report from a meeting in Billund this minifig is actually an official remake version of Gail Storm/Pippin Reed (starting at 3:04 min): Well, then I have to get this minifig for my collection!
  15. I'm not sure if I can agree. I think the red hat seems a bit strange. I would admit that this is Gail Storm in the 1920s but not in a modern outfit. I'd like to see that minifig with the classic white pith helmet. Yes, I agree. I think I am more on your side.
  16. Yes, I only buy original Lego. I tried other brands/manufacturers but I was not convinced by the quality of their bricks. I decided to stay a purist.
  17. Same here!
  18. Concur! Awesome layout with so many great details.
  19. Who knows? After all it’s a magical workshop …
  20. I'm an old man ... Nice story! Each of us has his own memories of that lockdown times. I acutally took all my old LEGO from the storage and played with my kid with it. That's interesting news. Never heard of this. But: My copy of 375 had a black and a red visor, but two grey ones ("had" because I still have the bricks and plates, but lost a lot of the minifigs and their accessories). I didn't had a white one, but a second grey one instead. Perhaps TLG mixed the colours as visors were available? We are off topic though ...
  21. That would be great since this 2x2 "magic roll"-tile also was used in Adventurers set 5988. I'd love to get a modern version of it. Never mind - as a kid I had both sets , so 375 and 377 were both an integral part of my LEGO landscape of the early 1980s (still having my old 375 today).
