  1. Exactly. I don't think Technic really needed this part, given the 3L axle with stop. Sure we'll see it popping up here and there. But what I expect is that this white pin is going to be useful for making small moving mechanisms in System sets easy to build for young children.
  2. So I've already acquired a bunch of them from B&P out of curiosity. The snap is decent enough. Unfortunately though, unlike the black counterpart, this one does NOT accept a bar.
  3. Indeed. I fixed the pic but let's not scroll back to the previous page. But to my own surprise, it turns out I'm quite purist at heart. The only 'clone' bricks I own are pins and connectors in black and red where those from TLG are lacking or ridiculously expensive to source. (Looking at you, and !) However I must admit I've never actually used my red half-bushes... Somehow I always manage to find a way not to use them, because I'd feel 'dirty' using them. Oh well, silly me...
  4. What's this? My hand full of red and black half-bushes? If you really want them, they're not hard to find...
  5. My understanding is that, like in the motorized version, the solution will make the paddles move when changing gears, not the other way around
  6. Have a browse through the thread, I think someone posted a solution for this a while ago.
  7. Right, but the upshot of the 'axle with axlehole' would be that it's a gazillion-use-case part with minimal bulkiness. That's why I'm not satisfied just using everywhere: most times the other 2 axles collide with other stuff.
  8. Not perfect, but you may also consider: More like but with 1 axle. But I have good hopes it'll arrive, because even TLG needs the axle with axlehole... For example, in the virtual pivot steering system of the big Batmobile (set 76139), they used this 120-degree 3-axle connector when they really only needed 1 axle...
  9. Pin with pinhole is nice and all, but where's my axle with axlehole?!
  10. Ooooh thanks for the tip! Now I wanna build it... I don't own this set but it seems I have all the relevant parts in my collection, including chromed buckets...
  11. Ah now I finally know what to do with those Belville buckets! 48245
  12. Thanks guys, you seem to be confirming what I thought. Yes an exhaust pipe seems obvious but it would be a huge one, given the typical scale of Technic MOCs. Maybe for a 1:6 scale model haha!
  13. It's been a year since the big 'elbow' (part 65473) was introduced. Has anyone had or seen a good use of this part in a Technic MOC? Do you even see a good/creative potential use for it in Technic at all?
  14. But it was available on B&P until very recently -- in white. I bought 2 from B&P less than 2 years ago, according to my administration. I paid ~$3 a piece.
  15. Half-bush returns in white, not seen since 2005. 22x in set 43197.
  16. 10290 https://brickset.com/article/60283/10290-pickup-truck-revealed!
  17. "RAPTOR" on the rear wheel arches looks like a print though?
  18. I for one am very curious to see 8448 with modern panels... Given my reverence for 8448 it's more of a morbid curiosity, but still...
  19. @SNIPE I hear ya! Recently I ended up creating the 0.5 offset not by adding anything on a 3L pin, but by creating a 3.5L pin out of a 2L pin, 1.5L pin, and 3L bar through both -- with the short end of the 1.5L pin pushed against the 2L pin. No spacer liftarm required.
  20. Perhaps you can take some inspiration from set 8458 "silver champion"... Last year I had a need for its wishbone arms, but I found it nearly impossible to take apart the vehicle due to it being circularly form-locked somehow...
  21. This may still be too big, but in general, it's good to know that the One Ring can be used as a spacer that's slightly thinner than a half-bush. It was used as such recently in the Bird of Paradise set (10289).
  22. @User5346 Those already exist, just put 1 or 2 headlight bricks on their side... (yes I know about the ridge that'll stick out!) Anyhow, I think this thread is supposed to be focused on Technic-relevant parts. The non-slotted version already existed in Tan. Only $2 a piece on BrickLink...
  23. Good points. I agree it even looks questionable as a prototype. I guess there just hasn't (yet) been a strong need to produce in new lengths.
  24. Just found out that BrickLink has an entry for a 1L axle with stud. No-one is selling any though. Does anyone know anything more about this part?
  25. So I was just checking BrickLink for 2L axles in those weird colors, but here's something you might've wanted to have: there are a dozen sellers that have the non-notched 2L axle in blue...
