  1. Looks very relaxing and peaceful! Great job with the watermill and river, love the technique of the curved wedge plates over transparents studs! Excellent work as always.
  2. Wow, this is great! Your architecture, as always, is such eye-candy. The old flag especially complements this build. The landscaping is also marvelous. Excellent job! Also, 95th Rifles, yes! My favorite regiment of all time. It warms my heart to see them in brick!
  3. why...didn't......I ...thinkof that... Thanks @LM71Blackbird! I'm glad to hear everyone loves the wacky and fun play features of the ship. Now, if you excuse, I'm going to go back in time to slap myself. Thank you so much @Kai NRG! The base was a lot of fun to make. I also now have a newfound respect for fully rigged ships after spending days tying knots. Thanks for bringing me the joy of reading your kind words @Bodi! I'll always be a sucker for playability, so I just had to make all the decks accessible. Thanks for the compliment of the hull shaping. I've always wanted to use the old red hull pieces from the runner. I couldn't use a traditional style shaping because of that pesky dark gray on the front and back hull prefab, it was quite tricky covering up every centimeter of that. Ha! Appreciate the feedback, @Ayrlego! It's great to hear you enjoyed it. The old knight helmets are some of my favorite molds, they look so good! Thanks for the compliments on the decks. As for the licensing, Your formal request is much appreciated and is accepted. I would be happy to hand this over to Corrington. With the amount of red in this MOC, there's just no way this cannot belong to a corry. Feel free to send me a DM whenever and we can get her in the right hands.
  4. I'm glad you enjoyed it @Keymonus! The cook is my favorite figure as well. There's something about a beard plus a stereotypical smiley face that brings a lot of joy to me. As for the tiling, I've always wanted to try out the old light gray for the deck of a ship. I figured it'd fit as an accent to the darker color scheme, but I can definitely see why dark brown would look nice. I'll have to consider swapping it out, thanks for the feedback! Maybe one of these days I'll have to make an Oleander frigate. I don't think I can take another 2 hours of dusting every month though It is a sticker. I simply just cut it out of paper and put it through a sticker machine. I think it fits in nicely as a BoBS contract/deed. If you'd like the file for it, feel free to DM me! Thanks,@JintaiZ! I appreciate the kind words @Count Vroskri. I'm glad you liked it! Thanks, @Fraunces! Your kind words mean a lot! I go a little overboard with features sometimes. I figure there's no reason to have empty space if you can put some wacky play-feature in there!
  5. Appreciate the kind words @NOD! I'm glad to hear that my picture taking addiction is appreciated. Don't sell yourself short, your Paraiso is a superb looking ship! I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.
  6. Thanks, @Professor Thaum! I'm really glad you liked it! Always a pleasure to hear from you!
  7. With recent events transpiring on the brick seas, paranoia and hostile thoughts continue to plague many minds. One under the influence of this paranoia, an unnamed governor (NPC) under the command of Corrington, has ordered a personal heavy frigate to be built to patrol surrounding waters of any and all possible "hostilities". After the ship's completion, it set course for the governor, but oddly on its arrival, the governor has disappeared. The island was charted and the governor was heavily sought after, but with no luck. Perhaps his paranoia got the better of him? Or was it those pesky tribals? The facts of his disappearance may never be unraveled but one fact does remain: the Legion remains docked, waiting... (Apologies for the ship exceeding the background, I was not prepared for the sheer size of this behemoth. ) C7 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_6873 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_6871 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Oddly, the ship was never officially certified to the fleet of Corrington. In fact, the ship's manufacturer has remained anonymous. With these peculiar facts, the crew to the Legion find themselves wondering just who their allegiance is pledged to now? IMG_6867 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Now with the governor's disappearance, the unnamed island is bursting with new life. Pirates, scoundrels, Oleanders, Corries, Eslandolians, and merchants alike all want one thing, to take on the seas with the Legion. Captain William Marcus of the Legion and his crew have now turned to the pleasure of coin. What is to become of the crew of the Legion? Will their colors remain true and their loyalty to Corrington come back, or will they burn their colors and turn to the rebellious side of the Sea Rats? Perhaps even an Eslandolian or Oleander will purchase and reconfigure the ship to serve their empire. IMG_6796 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Thanks for reading my story! I built this ship a while back before I got fully into Eslandola. Since I'm part of Eslandola, I have no use for this Corrington heavy frigate so I'm not licensing it as my own. If you're interested in licensing the ship to your fleet, feel free to DM me! Here are some more pictures of the ship and its fun features: IMG_6863 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_6865 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_6810 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr The flooring to the upper and lower deck can easily be removed to get access to all sections of the ship! Play Feature by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr One of the swivel corners had a turnable gear that opens up a minifigure display underneath the "HMS Legion" pattern. IMG_6860 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Full crew for the Legion. IMG_6879 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr The front can easily be opened for a quick display of a hat/hair rack to quickly exchange the headgear for the minifigures! Goodbye! by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Another small ship I made alongside it, Rose Mary. The base is all on hinges so it can be folded and stored inside the stand for the legion. Thanks for viewing! I hope you enjoyed. As always, may your journeys on the brick seas be filled with wealth! Cheers. bam 2 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr More play-features/misc. pictures:
  8. I would personally do the Indefatigable. Great way to learn and try different methods of hull curvature methods. Also, the rigging and sails on that would be enjoyable and a great display piece if finished. Your Black Prince train is a real work of art as well and deserves to be built in bricks! Look forward to seeing what you come up with next! Best regards.
  9. Don't be so rough on yourself @SteamSewnEmpire, you did a phenomenal job! You aced the bowsprit look and your accents are on point. Love the sand green with the dark green blend. If she was fully rigged and with custom sails, she'd be an absolute beaut! Great job on the stern, gives me nostalgic skull eye schooner vibes. Will you be making her in bricks? Thanks for showing this wonderful model, cheers!
  10. Thank you very much @Mr Maniac for the compliments! I only own the main ice planet ship, but I can definitely recommend the sets as they're wacky and fun to display with their neat color scheme. Ice planet MOCs are definitely my favorite, so I hope to make and see more in the future! I'm glad to hear you liked the helmet. I didn't know if it would fit in or not, so It's great to hear that! The Res-Q torsos work perfectly in my opinion for Ice planet crewmen. Ha! That would be quite the amusing sight to see, especially with the current scene of them being on some small ice caps. Technically you can, but you'd have to either have the snowmobile parked outside the ship, or both the crew would have broken spines whilst laying on it inside. I originally only planned on having the one figure and robot, but after seeing those Res-q torsos my mind was made up. Glad you liked it, thanks again for the kind words, it means a lot!
  11. I appreciate the kind words, @Rockstaremcee! I always thought that dice block could be used for something, and I'm glad you liked it. Thanks, @JintaiZ!
  12. The ARC-1 or otherwise known as "Arctic One by the ice planet goers" is fresh off the assembly line and has been proven reliable in its heavy armor and smooth flying capabilities. Instead of it's normal use as a cargo carrier or space police prisoner transport, this particular model has been repainted and is being used by a crew of ice-jewel seeking adventurers that are always on the go. ARC2 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Minibase 1 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr ARC7 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr ARC5 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr These adventurers spared no expense. Their modifications to the ARC-1 consist of a service robot, a portable refinery, a small survey tower, and a snow-mobile. ARC3 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr The back can open up to store the service robot. ARC10 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr ARC1 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Due to the added snow-mobile in the storage bay, the cargo has to be held on the back. That must be one strong rope. ARC9 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr The middle cargo bay can easily be released to reveal the snowmobile. 13. Wow, this is gorgeous! A truly excellent piece. Like deraven said, the way you went about making it airtight is very impressive, especially with the front. Wonderful accents on the bottom and a spectacular color scheme (love the red line!). Make sure Lenny gets some escorts, as blacktron is sure to want to "acquire" this ship.
  14. Thank you very much @Jerry McGlade!
  15. Appreciate the kind words @LEGO Train 12 Volts! I'm glad you liked the design of the ship and the chrome accents.
  16. Welcome, @Horologist! I look forward to seeing from you. Hope you enjoy your time on eurobricks and feel more than welcome to ask the great community of this site any questions you have. Welcome aswell, @goceltic67!
  17. What a great build! I'll always be a fan of decorated creations with a nice playful interior, so I'm a huge fan of this! That's a very neat hatch feature and I love the top gun design.
  18. @deraven I've tried the half ones before, but sadly they just don't look that good. I never thought of the 3/4s pins. That's a good idea, I'll certainly give it a try! I wonder if you combine them with a dark red thin lift arm if it would capture a nice regal look. Hah, so true with the moderation part. Sadly, I'm still working on it! I probably have damaged the UCS Naboo set market with my many chrome purchases...
  19. Thanks for the kind words @JintaiZ! Always a pleasure to hear from you. Thanks @deraven! I have a chrome problem so it's always nice to see people enjoying it! I've always loved those chairs, I just wish I can get the minifigures to stay in them. Glad you liked it!
  20. Hah, that's genius! I've never thought of seeing the chima heads as fabuland, but it looks great! The ship's curvature is excellent and you were spot on with the colors. Nice work! Also, I definitely agree with @arieben, the 1 x 3 tiles would be very nice on the side of the sails.
  21. Love the sleekness and the tactical look of the ship. You definitely aced it! Nice work.
  22. The newest hovercraft "Explorer" is out and ready to chart unseen planets. Currently, the ship's crew (Biff Starling and Sandy Moondust) are taking some readings of the planet's natural resources to bring back to study the geology of the planet. IMG_6135 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_6137 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_6138 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_6136 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_6140 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_6139 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr The little rover can be stored in the back of the ship if needed. End by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr I've always wanted the Biff Starling and Sandy Moondust minifigures to have a ship, so I did my best to try to fit their theme. Hope you enjoyed it and as always, happy travels Earthling!
  23. Thanks, @JintaiZ! Glad you liked it.
  24. Yemin-IV, a dangerous but priceless planet, is known for its immensely hot climate, its deadly inhabitants, and nearly impossible to survive off the land. Our unfortunate Explorien friend finds himself here, waiting for rescue. IMG_6144 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Whilst surveying the area with a small scouting ship, an unexpected sandstorm brought the ship down into a cavern. Using pieces of rubble from the ship, he managed to construct a temporary base and land speeder until he finds a way off the planet. IMG_6151 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_6154 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr On impact, the back module for the ship dug into the ground while the rest swerved to the right getting stuck in an opening to a ravine. By using the wings of the ship and other scrap, the abandoned Explorien created a makeshift weather monitor to warn of incoming sandstorms. IMG_6147 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr The locals will attack on sight, but luckily the Explorien's knowledge of lands allowed him to carve a skull in the side of the entrance to the cavern warning off the attackers, until night that is... IMG_6161 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr After surviving for a few weeks, our friend has made himself a shelter both inside and out. IMG_6160 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr The windscreen from the ship was used to construct a window. IMG_6162 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Using the leftover fuel (which somehow remarkably survived the crash), the Explorien cooks himself the meal via the booster flames from the back ship module. Mmmm, glow in the dark spider, my favourite! IMG_6163 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Here comes the night, it is time to call it in and prepare to another day without rescue. Scout vessels don't typically have the most comfortable sleeping bags on-board, but it will do. IMG_6168 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Just in-case the locals gain enough brain cells to find the entrance, the Explorien always keeps weapons on hand. IMG_6146 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Another night without encounter. Whew! IMG_6167 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Now that it's morning, it's time to repair the land speeder to, hopefully, finally, find rescue... (End of story) both by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr One of the features of the MOC is that if you wish to recreate the crashing events, you can reconstruct the ship by dismantling the makeshift creations using the remains. IMG_6174 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Hope you enjoyed this creation! C&C always appreciated. As always, happy travels, Earthling!
