  1. Wow, what a find! Especially after the barracuda bay release, those are excellent additions! I've come across dozens of the old lego sails similar to what I see in the photos. What I normally do to repair them is place one in-between two hand towels and gently iron the top for around 20 seconds per sail. Don't iron the sail directly without the towels as (depending on different circumstances) it could damage it. If it isn't semi-unfolded by the time you've finished, do one more run of 20 seconds. After that, all you have to do is just put the sails on a flat surface and put 3-4 thick books over it. Afterwards, leave it for 5-7 days (depending on how much weight you have on top of them) and it should be much better. If you do multiple sails at once, use more books and put 1-2 under each book. It won't make them fully better but it should help a ton. Those sails look like they're not yellowed or have much fraying, which is very hard to find in them, so doing that process would make them look very nice. It even would be a good idea if you plan to sell them. Without much fraying, yellowing, or creases they'd easily be worth $18-35 each Just a suggestion! If anyone knows a better way, let me know, but it has worked for me for around 20 of these old sails now. Once again, that's a great find! Enjoy your new classic sets!
  2. These are eye stunningly gorgeous! So much detailing and excellent curvature and smoothing! Awesome job. I especially love the yellow building.
  3. Yep! I just watched an in-depth build video to indeed confirm that. They are definitely not the old helmet, but rather a new color for the reissue (used in Benny's Space Squad and such). We've never gotten the piece in black for the reissue helmet till now, so I'd imagine the price for the part will probably be going for around a little higher than the old version of the helmet.
  4. All right, thanks @deraven! I thought as much, but I wanted to make sure there wasnt some option I was missing just incase. Thanks again.
  5. Thank you very much , @MAB and @deraven for your wonderful advice! I'll see if I can find some mass quantity of boxes for hopefully a semi-cheap price at my local supply store. Last question I have is what the cheapest option for shipping one would be for someone in USA. I don't think I can ship this as media, and I'm hoping to pay less than $15 if I do plan to ever ship one out. Thanks again you two, I appreciate it. If either of you knows the best carrier to ship one is, I'd be more than happy to hear what you have to say.
  6. Hi everyone! I was wondering how you guys go about shipping large flattened lego boxes. I just got a bunch of modular ones and others and I'm just wondering how to ship one or so just in-case I ever need to sell one on bricklink or ship one to a friend. Hope I posted this to the right forum.
  7. Appreciate it @GeoBrick! Glad you find it fits in.
  8. Thank you @Jerry McGlade! Glad you enjoyed it!
  9. Thank you @Rubblemaker! I'm glad you liked it! Thanks again for your help in the past and I greatly look forward to your next post!
  10. After gaining access to launch from the Beta-I Command Base on Exis XII, some crew members were sent to help keep the refinery base in touch. After putting on their new uniforms for the region, they are relocated and ready to trade with the locals! IMG_5008 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr By using the portable fusion generator for the region, the workers are able to keep the pump running to collect the area's gooey marsh fluid in order to form erchois fuel crystals. IMG_5016 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Sadly though, the local reptilia also need that marsh fluid! Looks like we'll have to get a new wrench. IMG_5011 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr I've always loved the HO scale garage doors from the 60s and I finally found a good use for one in classic space, do you guys think it fits in? IMG_5017 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr When ready, the latest model of the federation's one person support spacecraft (Nebulus series) is ready to take a flight back to Beta-I. IMG_5023 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Inside the refinery, the gooey substance is being refined into crystals of pure energy to use and also to trade with the Zephii race. IMG_5031 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_5033 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_5020 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_5021 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Luckily, the local land life is normally passive and seems to enjoy eating the plants of the area. Yum!!! IMG_5035 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr The Nebulus VI can also be loaded with the fuel cargo and can be easily reconfigured into a land support vehicle! transformation by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_5027 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr The engine can easily be removed from the front to be worked on via the workbench. IMG_5028 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Lastly, both baseplates can be separated and can be used as separate bases or can easily be reconfigured. IMG_5045 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr The total piece count is 2000. This is among some of my first space creations so thanks for looking! I hope you enjoyed. Take care and as always, happy travels, Earthling. v2 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Here are a few more quick photos for anyone interested:
  11. That's some wonderful hull shaping you have there! I love the incline towards the stern. Also, your colors are very nice (especially the dark red for the flooring). The yellow hose along the side actually looks really nice in my opinion as it adds more bulk on the exterior sides which is just normally tiled. Great rigging and an overall excellent vessel! I absolutely love it! Also, I do have to agree with Phes. Where dem figs?
  12. Great design, Celloguy! The wacky ship designs are always the best ! You don't often the insectoid wings in builds, so that's a great use for those. It's always neat to see your added stories to the ships. The only question to be asked now is: are they peaceful?
  13. @Disabella I agree with Anders. It's tricky to get a balance of the perfect cost on bricklink for what you're looking for. For me, it's mainly difficult because I love all the rare colors and pieces like chrome. The way I think of it is that you should be happy with the way your build turns out and not take shortcuts in order to get exactly what you're looking for, even if it takes extra time and...extra money. I'd rather have one build that I was able to achieve exactly what I was looking for rather than two that I had to take shortcuts on. However, I do think that if you come across an expensive piece that's not exactly prevalent and important in your build (such as an expensive reddish-brown slope, that can be easily replaced) then you should take just a few seconds to adjust in in stud.io beforehand. At least you're not in the USA right now! With the virus, the American market took a huge hit to costs. My recent order came to 42 carts! Lastly, I'll add that before you place your order, you should probably design a stand for the ship as it looks like the bottom is only 1 stud wide so it will need more support to stay up. Once again, this is truly a gorgeous ship and I'm very eager to see it in bricks and rigged!
  14. Oh my goodness, Disabella, this is gorgeous! You did a fantastic job replicating the very difficult angles and capturing the beauty of the sacoleve! As my memory goes, I don't think anyone on eurobricks has yet to post any sacoleve ships, so I'm greatly looking forward to seeing this built. The bow is my favorite aspect of your build! Truly amazing. I'm going to go look again!
  15. So THAT'S where all the old cafe MISB modulars went! I love the treasure chests as stairs, ha! Nice rockwork and a great story to read as well. Wonderful build, Samarth!
  16. Another wonderful ship, @Bodi! You did an excellent job putting those white hull parts to great use as well as those golden accents in the stern. As always, your rigging is excellent as well as your overall design of the ship. Love it!
  17. Oh my goodness... This is AMAZING! Brings back so many memories. The modular features as well as the curvature make this one spectacular model! I love how smooth everything is as well as the color accents. Gorgeous, truly gorgeous. Excellent work, Evilkirk!
  18. That's awesome! I love the look of the train with the pure black and trans-red! The skull and the very smooth curvature of it also look excellent. The minifigures and the station itself are as well very nicely designed! Looks like something straight out of an H.P. Lovecraft book. Once again, excellent work. Love it!
  19. Thank you @Sir Kingston! I have an addiction to older pieces and I'm very glad that everyone liked them! I'm looking forward to seeing your HMS "something" complete and ready to sail.
  20. @Mister Phes Thank you for taking time to look at my build, Mr. Phes! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! @Spud The Viking Your kind words mean the world. Thank you, Spud! It's great to see that people found my building style to fit in! @Beleg the Ranger So glad you liked it, thank you Beleg! I'm not sure how realistic the classroom is, but I just had to use that old chalkboard sticker lego made, haha!
  21. Thank you for the kind words @krisbarkley! Lots of us here were raised in a family where lego was very present in our childhood. Due to this, it has grown almost as a comfort for us to be able to speak our creativity in the form of an infinite assortment of bricks. It's very enjoyable and has brought so many opportunities and friendships among people. Lego truly is a spectacular connection for so many around the world. Also, welcome to Eurobricks! Hope you enjoy what you see here!
  22. Great work! The minifigure poses along with the colors and the moving features create a gorgeous scene! You should consider mabye adding a motor so it's constantly moving. With that, it'd be an excellent desk or wall shelf addition!
  23. Looking good @Dorino! I'm looking forward to seeing the end result! The shark hung by the crane and the sand green and my favorite aspects! You did an excellent job maintaining the Barracuda Bay color scheme, it looks like it can sit right next to it. Also, anyone who takes inspiration from a WoW location is doing something right!
  24. Wow! That is really well done @LM71Blackbird! This may be one of my favorite remakes of an old pirate set I've seen! Reminds me a lot of the barracuda bay color scheme and would probably fit right alongside it. Once again well done! Have you considered remaking the imperial trading post?
  25. Nice cutter, @Disabella! I agree with everyone else in saying this definitely would look stunning if it was in actual colors, but I have to add how well you did with what you have! Like Bregir said, the stern is fantastic and the overall brick-built look is excellent. Since you're running out of parts, I'd recommend looking into bricklink. Hopefully, you might be able to find the parts in colors you're looking for there. You definitely already are very good at building ships, and I'm sure all of us would love to see your next one with a color scheme to it. I look forward to seeing it rigged and with sails!
