  1. You've been pumping out build-after-build lately (without sacrificing quality)! That seamount is beautifully detailed - I like the little insect antennas near the base of the build. However, my favorite part is the titular wooly eels (complete with teeth) - are those parts from Galidor? The figures are great too - it's always nice to see a new species introduced into GoH! I like how you implemented all the different parts (from Thena, the CMF "Ancient Warrior", Kranxx, Star Wars, NEXO Knights, etc.) and made them work. I never would have thought to use the Thena torso with the tan "Miralian heads" from Star Wars. Nor would I have thought to use the CMF Ancient Warrior for anything from GoH (I say that as someone who builds exclusively with "fleshies" and thus has trouble finding uses for yellow figure parts). Stuff like this broadens my horizons - great work!
  2. So many fun details here! I love the horse armor and mounted crossbows in the armory, and the wood floors, chess set, rug near the entrance, the joust painting on the wall, and large table in the study! I also love how you "went the extra mile" and included details between the two rooms (ie. the cut lumber) and on the back side of the build as well - I especially like the dark brown 1 x 3 pieces on the door! Those are just the highlights, however - there are no "weak links" in this build! I also like the smoky effects you have in a few shots (namely the fireplace scene with Dresghar and Evrart). Did you achieve that with some smoke "on set" (with some real smoke, etc.) or did you add it "in-post"! I know this is a broad question, but how long did it take you to build this MOC (and each installment of the Chronicles of Embervale) "on average"?
  3. I forgot to mention that - this whole contest was a great source of inspiration!
  4. Congratulations to everyone who participated! The CMF challenge really forced to think "outside the box". That's the great thing about these contests - regardless of whether you "win" or "lose", your skills are honed (thus making you a better builder). That's a victory in my book!
  5. I do! I recognize parts from a Kanjiklub gang member, Tauriel, Kai, and Clara Oswald!
  6. That's a "deep cut"! I never knew that set existed either (weird, seeing as how we had a few of the LEGO Games at home). I swear, LEGO Games was a fever dream...
  7. Fantastic work! I like the vehicle hub-caps over the house windows, the multi-colored squashes, the "Simpson's hair" trees, and the massive (and beautifully constructed) tree on the outskirts of the build is great as well. That sign using the old letter blocks is great as well, as are all the minifigures (the centaurs are my favorite). I read up on the "adult centaur" technique - it took some real skill (and a steady hand) to pull that off! I don't think I'm bold enough to do something like that! The story is great as well! You really thought over every aspect of the farm - even the fertilizer! The "centaur manure" is funny (but made practical sense if I think about it). Imagine if you were a sentient being (human, centaur, etc.) and someone offered to buy your "waste" off of you!
  8. Great work on all of these! My favorites are Saoirse (love that Black Panther torso) and Medb Táin o Cú (genius construction - I love how you implemented the micro-fig (I don't recognize it - where is it from?)/
  9. Great work! I like the torso used on Antoni (it looks familiar - do you know where it came from?). I also like how you implemented the CMF Centaur arms on Tan - it's easy to see the yellow figure parts and write them off as being unsuitable for "fleshies".
  10. Love how that table turned out! It’s neat to see those 1x1 reddish brown “stadium” pieces on the table’s “legs”. I also like the green wreath near the candelabra! Following this advent calendar was a joy from start to finish. Merry Christmas!
  11. Love all the little details (especially the lemon)! @williejm As for the crab’s situation, let’s meet in the middle and say that the crab is both alive and being served as a lovely meal. I imagine that Goblin cuisine has a tradition wherein anyone who wants to eat the crab must defeat it in hand-to-claw combat first. Our crab is on a lifelong winning streak - who will defeat him?
  12. Love the descriptions you gave for each character - Romarich's was especially funny! I like how you reused the Hulk "robbery mask" for Gaston! I like Janko's colors as well - I haven't seen a lot of blue-and-orange in GoH. I have a few orange parts at home, but (up until now) didn't know how to implement them in my GoH figures!
  13. One of my favorite builds you've done so far! The construction is really clever - I'm shocked that more people outside of GoH don't use that dome piece to build their own snow globes! Great figure! I didn't know they made that goblet piece in trans-clear!
  14. I'll second what what Kai NRG said - I love the use of these unprinted animals! I also like the use of that Bombur piece on Heimar. It's surprisingly versatile!
  15. I didn't know they made the white bird without printing - I'll have to BrickLink that! It would be very useful for building statues.
  16. Love the clever usage of that hamburger bun! Eyrezer has a good eye; I wouldn't have recognized it had they not pointed it out! Love that devilish snowman! I also really like the torso you used for Grog. I don't recognize it - where is it from? I like how the crystal looks like it's "branching out" - that pedestal base looks great as well!
  17. I'll second what Eyrezer said - clever use of those quarter tiles! Kudos to Evrart for that pun as well! He saw an opportunity and he took it!
  18. Lovely colors! I especially like how you used the Vidiyo Dragon Singer torso, the light aqua hair (I need to BrickLink one of those), and the staff construction!
  19. I had to look up what an Alembic was - you learn something new every day! You definitely nailed the look - I especially like how you built the furnace! On a different note, Alrune really shouldn't be faulting her uncle for being a "connoisseur"! Lovely shaping on this desk! I especially like how you used the curved plate. My favorite details might be the inkwell and the "Anacondrai helmet"-turned-"reptile skull". In other news, I was finally able to get that Vidiyo Vampire Bassist we mentioned back on Day 1 (that black and red hairpiece looks great in-person)! They were selling them at my local LEGO Store - the employees somehow sorted the blind-boxes, and I was able to pick out whichever figure I wanted!
  20. Love the "wispy" effect you achieved with that transparent snake piece! That Ahsoka torso goes well with the Ravenclaw dress!
  21. Love this hanging skeleton (that face gives him a lot of personality)! It reminds me of something you would see in biology/anatomy classroom.
  22. Nice shrine! It like the use of that Heroica "micro-fig". I also like the shaping you achieved with the "1x1 plate with bar handles" and "modified 4x4 plate". I didn't know the latter came in dark-bluish gray - time to get it on B&P or BrickLink! I LOVE how this design turned out. I know I'm going to sound like a "broken record" for saying this, but the parts combos (Ninjago, Marvel, and CMF) are incredible as always. You even got the same shade of gold (I know it can vary a lot) across his entire body! In summary, this is one of my favorite figures that you've made! Stuff like this and the CDC2 CMF entries has me wondering if I should make a "favorite figures gallery" for myself on Flickr (so as to compile them all in one place). There's so much of that talent within GoH!
  23. I'm afraid I lack the technical expertise for something like that!
  24. I've seen transi while traveling in places like Austria - you nailed the look! I really like that creative use of the carbonite block! You rarely see it in non-Star Wars MOCs - I always thought it was too "niche" to be used outside of that. This shows how wrong I was - I might have to use this to make my own Transi! I guess it's just one of those figures whose value greatly appreciates in time (its exclusivity in that aforementioned Bricktober pack doesn't hurt). I had a similar experience when I bought a Zuckuss figure for $14 back in 2019. He now goes for an average of $40 (in "used condition")! Coming Soon: GoH Book IV: Aliens Invade Historica
  25. Poor Evrart! It's cool to see that Neuro torso from Ninjago. You don't see it too often - if I recall correctly, that figure was quite rare (I think he was part of a Toys-R-Us exclusive "Bricktober" pack). He's gotten quite expensive on BrickLink!
