  1. That's an impressive army you've got there! I myself am trying to get some of those stags off of Bricks and Pieces; it's currently sold out, though. Hopefully they'll restock soon...
  2. Thank you so much!
  3. Congratulations to all the winners! There were some truly great builds this year.
  4. Great work! So many great little details here, such as the blaster holes in the cantina walls. I also like how you had IG-11 carry The Child - simple but effective!
  5. Great review! This looks like an amazing set, but I wish it was cheaper - $350 for 3100 pieces is a bit much. I would definitely buy it at $300-$325, though. I'll probably save up and wait for a discount to get it... I also have a question regarding the dimensions of this set. Namely, what are its dimensions when the cantina is "closed up"? All the measurements I've seen so far (height, width, depth, etc.) were for its "opened up" form.
  6. Great work! I especially like the "90 degree angle" side tower you gave it. The speed build video was also informative!
  7. Awesome work! Love how you did the archways and the cornices. I also like how you used those ingots as tiles - not enough people do that!
  8. Great work! So many nice details here (such as knight shields on either side of the door). I also like how you did the trees!
  9. This is a great MOC! I particularly like how you achieved the curvature of the serpent.
  10. @Aurore @Grover You're not alone as far as "old minifigure torso issues" are concerned. I've lost count of how many older torsos/arms (specifically those which are dark red, dark brown, or reddish brown) have snapped on me as I was trying to switch out the arms. I've also had old torsos that don't snap but lose a lot of friction in the arm sockets if you try switching arms out. Thankfully, LEGO seems to have mostly corrected both of these issues in recent years.
  11. This is a wonderful lineup you have here! So much creativity on display, from the Roadhog hook for the Nocturnus mermaid, the Wonder Woman torso on the swashbuckler, and the Storm torso on the Fire Dancer, among many others! I'm also happy to see the centaur "lower bodies" being used. With so many great figures, it's hard to pick favorites. If I had to pick a few, though, it would have to be the Illusionist (I love that color combo), Forest Kid, the Efrit, the Messenger, the Necromancer, and Ylspeth. Keep up the great work!
  12. What a cool idea for a build! So much to praise about this MOC - the roofing, the mirror, the portraits inside the barbershop - fantastic work as always!
  13. A great build with an interesting story! You nailed the angles for the roofing. My favorite detail might be the silver hoops you use for the door handles!
  14. That might be what happened to one of my photos of Ayra. The photo's title and description made no mention of GOH, but I did include it in the tags. The post in question: Ambush by socalbricks, on Flickr
  15. Welcome to Avalonia! There are some truly gorgeous techniques on display here! I especially love the use of the treasure chest lids and the broom! The whole build is wonderfully detailed without feeling cluttered! Great work!
  16. Love the mystery you set up here! Can't wait to see more! The MOC itself is also great; I especially love how you did the ship's hull!
  17. Lovely build! You did a great job at translating the original set into a medieval setting. I also love how you did the "box art" - you really nailed the "vintage LEGO" aesthetic!
  18. Great MOC! I especially love the use of the wallpaper bricks. I might have to borrow that technique if it's ok with you!
  19. Awesome build! The plant work is great as always, and I love how you did the well!
  20. This was a fantastic idea! Your depictions of the plants are spot-on!
  21. @Henjin_Quilones I noticed you mentioned the drow on that list of races. I'm building some drow figures right now, and I was wondering: is there any established "look" for the drow? Or is it more "up to the builder"? On a different note, does anyone know what the most "up-to-date" map of Historica is? I know the wiki has a nice looking map, but that site has not been updated in several years, so it's probably out of to date.
  22. This collab turned out phenomenally! Everyone's builds were top-notch! As for the story, I can't wait to see what the future now holds for Valyrio (and the rest of Historica)!
  23. Awesome build! There's a lot of great techniques here, from the roofing to that cart on the left side. The great colors make for a very eye-catching MOC, as well!
  24. This is a really creative way to show a WIP! As for the model itself, there is very little I can say about this that hasn't already been said. Everything from the roofing to the wood work is fantastic, and I can't wait to see the finished product!
