  1. Yeah! Most people's dream jobs are cops, firemen and pretty much any job that Lego City pushes to the forefront. But my dream job has always been to work at a Lego store.
  2. But the likelihood that he is being ignored when he goes to the store is next to none. How do I know? Experience! Every time I have went to a Lego store, the people were very friendly and welcoming. Being an extrovert, I also like to engage them in conversations.
  3. I don't speak for anyone else. But they've always been friendly to me. I've even engaged in some very cordial conversations with some. A few of them were even town builders. The ones I've spoken to don't just do this for money. They're actual AFOLs that work at the ones I go to. There is this one girl that works at the store I usually go to. I think she and I may click. She's also a table town builder. Mostly with Friends sets.
  4. Most of the labels I collect are from.the sticker packs. I also have some SPORT and OctanE logos from the race car and shopping street sets. Along with a few Octan logos.
  5. So I don't think I asked this question. Which sets will have land plates. I say land instead of road, because some sets also have water plates and grass plates.
  6. I have some character ideas for Lego City Adventures: Brianna Parker - a young valet who has a crush on Harl. Denise Letterman - a local mail girl Rocky Rhodes - an ice cream vendor who was a former opera singer
  7. You mean the container where I keep my Lego supplies? I usually wipe that down with a disinfectant wipe.
  8. I agree! They're overpriced, but these sets have a bunch of potential. Bro! With added bricks, you can convert the ice cream truck to a literal stand. I did it once and it looked marvelous. Capital City, despite not having a capital building, was actually pretty good for what it was worth. Can fit in anyone's table town. Same with the tuning workshop (one of my favorites) and the service station - two of which are also upgradable.
  9. Actually according to the person who put the description up, the bus will be American style, meaning it'll likely have a similar front fascia to the the tractor part of the 60282 Fire Commmand Unit, if not in a much simpler look. Its going to be an actual bus just like the ones you'd see in the streets if you live in the United States. Just because the set has less pieces, doesn't usually mean its not detailed. Lego actually has that skill of working with the piece count and making it more detailed than you think. That or the car itself may be some similar to the car from the 60270 Police Brick Box. That one holds less than 51 pieces. I did a count.
  10. @jonwil I was thinking a modular dance hall or ball room.
  11. I definitely agree there. City should be about what it's name suggests: City building. Lego has enough action themes to flourish for a lifetime plus they're a billion dollar company. City should be that unique theme where the primary focus is on town planning. Vehicles of course can still be in the theme as children will need vehicles for their towns. Because what's a town without police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, garbage trucks, tow trucks and buses? Maybe even some civilian cars. But you're right, it shouldn't be too vehicle focused. Now as far as farming is concerned, if they could do a farm set with some dirt road plates, I'd buy immediately. Same with the zoo sets. Construction sets would definitely need road plates as it can provide something to build. Could be a good opportunity to make a bridge road plate or a turning road plate.
  12. @brimbolet Yeah! That annoys me too! But I guess farming, zoology and construction vehicles just do better with pre-school aged children.
  13. Ikr! It seems like almost every construction vehicle is 4+ nowadays. I'm guess they just sell better with preschoolers than the primary audiences (age 6 to 12).
  14. 4+ used to be its own theme back during the mid 2000s. Those sets had this emblem on the box. Other than sales, I don't really get why they felt the need to integrate it into other themes.
  15. But you can't deny that we do live in a judgemental world. I can see why Powered By Bricks would feel a little funny.
  16. I felt ashamed. But then I met a Lego store worker who was a pretty girl. She's a Friends fan though. Perfect match!
  17. Right? Like you could probably look at a Lego school bus and be like "It's would sell better under Great Vehicles!". Btw, hat tips to whoever thought of that subtheme at Lego. I really appreciate it. A great chance to get standalone vehicles.
  18. YES!!!!! My wish for a school bus has come true. But it doesn't seem like the school building is going to be very attractive. Sounds like a 4+ set. EDIT: Nvm. It's not a 4+ set. But why did they have to make the race car one though. I'm disappointed.
