C'mon Lego! Do a vehicle only year for 2021!!!! Vehicles are what help your City theme thrive and they're what you guys are the best at. I'll even give you some ideas.

That's great man! I used to dislike it. But then I got some 2019 fire wave sets and had a change of heart.

@Capparezza @TuxTown Some of the newer sets aren't that bad from my point of view. Though for the expensive sets I want, I usually find some good deals on eBay or wait until those are on clearance.

Well....that is what the two pilots in Lego City Adventures wore in the Sky Police episode. So it'd make sense.

@leafan I have the school bus for my bus collection. My son likes to take it out, roll it around and press the little button up top to turn the lights on. I can't get angry with him despite the fact that I have a "DO NOT TOUCH" sign on the cabinet as I wouldn't consider Playmobil vehicles to be ONLY for display purposes.

They are a billionaire corporation as someone pointed out earlier. They've got the money to take a break from the "best sellers" for a wave or two. So do the Walmarts in Northern Virgina.

Toys R Us was the major toy store in the US. Toys R Us is dead and that's where I used to buy my Lego from.

@Maple Were you not listening? I said...making money should be the last thing on their mind. Of course you'll make money because nothing is free. But if your running a company thats for a fandom and by a fandom (or a family in Lego's case), then the former is just my belief. See what I meant on that other post? You can't just push something out there and make it dominate and deem it your best seller. Of course it is if you push it out there like that.

Ok! What do you mean by that? Sorry I come across as irritated, but considering that Lego's goal first and foremost should be to make sets that are tasteful and pleasing to customers, that does make Lego sound like a greed machine. Given how people act here, it sounds like a lot of people support their greed. Making money should be their last goal.

My layout is probably the lamest of them all. I love the way yours looks. You did very good. .

Well so much for making awesome building toys being their first and foremost goal. You mean why does CITY make so many of them. Tbh, sells of other City sets kinda dwindle because of those. They barely put anything else out there. Thats a lie. I see at least 40+ playmobil sets in both Walmart stores daily. At least 20 in Barnes & Noble stores. Some in Target stores too. Even though Lego is popular, there are still plenty of children and adults who like non-Lego vehicles too.

I always loved Lego for that. I try to give my ideas for City sets based on what's already there and exploiting it to its fullest advantage.

Im a City fan. The golden age of that theme was in 2006 to 2009 in my honest opinion. That's when I would save up my money and buy almost everything. Nowadays, I only buy if its reasonable - so I almost only buy from the Town and Great Vehicles subthemes. I haven't MOCed in a while. Nor do I have enough bricks to do so. Personally, I think the 2010s was the experimental age as thats where a lot of confusion was. It wasn't as much confusion as it was during the Town Jr era, but it was enough. I don't speak for everyone. I speak from my own experience. So don't flame or challenge what I say.

Lego does what they want. Even though the side of the fandom that actually buys votes against it, Lego does it anyway and when it comes to something people DO want....they don't do it. Look at the people who are raging over the indignity of Lego City being a police state and you'll see a prime example of that.
