@paulinho-knbl Thank you! The printed arms come from the Clan of the Cave Batman minifig.

This is an impressive story, supported by impressive builds! The way the photos illustrate the story is very well done - for example, the amount of food on the table decreasing while the meeting is narrated. It really shows that you put a great amount of time, effort and thought into it. And, of course, the Bear Cavalrymendwarves are my new heroes.

@Ragana9289 Sort of...

@Retro Thank you very much for your comment! The cat is currently not allowed to go onto the chair - but he's patient and stubborn, his human will sooner or later grow out of this ridiculous restriction! As for the chest creature...it was supposed to be a spooky spider, but since the spiders are too big to get into the chest, it ends up being a cute little giant ant.

Today I'd like to share a small vignette I created to flesh out storytime...Nothing impressive from a building perspective, but I intend to use it as an introduction and gradually populate and build the village. I don't really know if this topic is more suitable for the "Town" forum or the "Special Themes" one. I created it here because despite being related to the everyday life of a LEGO town, I thought it felt a little bit odd compared to the great buildings and vehicles that populate the "Town" forum. Don't hesitate to tell me if this was not the appropriate choice! Have you heard of Brickenthal? No? Well, hardly anyone has. It's one of those tiny villages nested in steep mountains, in the heart of dark forests, where time seems to stand still. The kind of village where travellers get lost at dusk only to learn that the only inn is full, and are advised by smiling villagers to request hospitality at that strange, gloomy castle up there. But our story is not about lost travellers meeting the welcoming Count of Brickenthal : it's about the villagers. About the peaceful, quiet life of the villagers. Miss Kafka was the village librarian. She took care of the books, helped readers choose their next bedtime reading, shooed away the spiders who tried to settle down on the shelves - all those activities librarians usually do. She was also the president of the Sonderthal Book Club, whose members gathered once a week to discuss their latest book crushes. On this lovely evening of october, a storm threatened and the rain was pouring. Principal Voigt, the school headmistress, had brought homemade cookies. Miss Grünhausen, the dressmaker, had brought an interesting yet uncooperative fantasy book. Everything was perfect for a cosy club session.

Book III Challenge IV Category A: An Axe Throwing Agreement
Aurore replied to mrcp6d's topic in Guilds of Historica
That's a great scene and a great story! Very nice rockwork, both for the human-built dwarven-built parts and the natural ones. I also love all the details, from the minifig expressions to the cave decor. -

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes

Photos of a new "Trolls" line are leaking...But sadly they look much more cartoonish than fantasy. I hope the line will still bring us new parts for fantasy MOCs... Edit: apparently, I'm living under a rock. I guess most of you already know the "Trolls" LEGO line corresponds to a 2020 sequel of a 2016 animation film - I did not. Given the look and feel of the film, my hope in new parts for fantasy MOCs has now decreased. At least some musical instruments in not-so-cartoonish color? Please? -
What a nice build! I really like all the details that give it a rather quirky and eerie feel, such as the uneven roof tiles (nice job by the way!), the crooked window frame or the little spider web. The tree and the base structure look great too. I would be curious to see what the innkeeper and patrons look like!

@badboytje88 Thank you! Lulana's head comes from the SW Agen Kolar minifig.

LEGO IDEAS - Dinosaurs Fossils Skeletons
Aurore replied to Troglodyte's topic in Special LEGO Themes
@Roebuck Thank you very much for the story of the skeleton with the fedora! This is really a great easter egg to include in the set. I'm definitely getting it - even if it's different from the original design, I quite like the brick-built design and, more globally, the mood of the set.- 47 replies

@Mister Phes Thank you so much! @Faladrin How can I have missed this topic? It's great! Thank you very much! @Littleworlds Thank you very much for your kind words! I'm really glad you managed to perceive their characters and background. @The Neighborhood Merchant Thank you very much! The dark brown leg piece comes from the SW 2017 Aayla Secura minifig.

Here is my crew - well, the crew of the privateer Lemuria, currently stranded on a desert island somewhere in the Seven Seas…

There cannot be too many scientists in the LEGO world! So I'm starting an ongoing project to add more of them…and will update this topic as I create them. Here is the first one, ready for Halloween! #1. Dr Jenny Holmes, pyrotechnician Minifig : head from Overwatch's Tracer, high bun, torso and legs from Ghostbuster's Jillian Holtzmann (with a plain dark tan right arm) Accessories : welding gun and bottle from the Series 11 Welder, flaming Jack O'Lantern from a 2016 Spider Man set

Ahoy, Let me introduce you the crew of the privateer Lemuria, currently stranded on a desert island somewhere in the Seven Seas… Note: this is a re-do of a previous version, taking into account Ross Fisher's suggestion (on Flickr) to use different legs for Elvira. Thank you! From left to right : - Jorge "Boomer" Calderon, gunner, pyrotechnist and explosive enthusiast - Paddy "Blackbeard" Murphy, grumpy marksman - Lulana "Switfblade", swashbuckler and gemstone connoisseur - Joy "Fair Wind" Fairchild, optimistic captain - Jocko, mighty mascot - José Luis "Luis" Goméz de Sandoval y Rojas, quirky aristocrat - Finn "Swiller" Murphy, rum enthusiast - Mademoiselle Alixende "Alix" de Fontvienne, geographer and cartographer - Elvira "Choupette" Montoya, fearless adventurer

Both the ship and the tiny island are wonderful! I really love the little details, such as the potted plant and dog on the ship...

It looks a bit vintage, but LOTR Merry's torso could work for Dr Kilroy. The beard should hide the light flesh collar. The new HP Ernie Prang's torso could work as well, but I think it depends on the setting : it's knitwear after all... The City female volcano explorer's torso could work well for Pippin, depending on the exposure of the back (which features the volcano logo). Sadly it's designed to work with sand blue legs, and there are not many sand blue legs with an adventurer flair. Maybe the ones with dark green boots, or the Serie 15 Janitor's hips with plain legs, or those ones or those ones from Jurassic World. As far as red or green legs are concerned, there are none I really like for adventurers. Except from Ginny Weasley's dark red legs, but they are awfully expensive! The Serie 12 Dino Tracker's legs are great, but they are olive green.

The torso of the leaked SW Tuskan Raider may be interesting for a medieval peddler or any other character who would need plenty of pouches! I hope it will be easy to find on BL. -
Yay for the new owl! Found it on Instagram - tan, with brown feathers, and either winking or one-eyed (is Errol one-eyed??). Looking forward to the dog, I have not found it yet.

@Kai NRG Thank you very much! Well done for the crown-spotting! I also tried to use the brown Witch-King's crown, but did not manage to find a suitable plant design. @Grover Thank you for your very kind words, I'm really glad you like this vignette - and the hydrangeas. As hydrangeas are among my favourites in my own garden, I tried several LEGO hydrangea designs before being satisfied with this one. @zoth33 Thank you very much, I'm glad you like the plants and Sir Scarecrow!
