  3. @Grover This is really great! If the Queen enjoys Mitgardian cookies, then she should win the heart of at least a part of the population...But beware : if she visits Mitgardian Winter Markets, she's at risk of being stuck with a sweet old lady explaining her the more-than-two-thousand types of traditional cookies - and their variants.
  4. The Jawa elf looks great! I especially like how you recoloured the pouches.
  5. Day 2 : Baker The "snow pie" is a traditional Mitgardian cake, made of a creamy soft cheese mixture on a shortcrust pastry. Since every family has their own recipe, variants with additional ingredients such as raisins or a drop of honey are not uncommon. Shamelessy inspired by the Käsekuchen from Alsace and Germany. 6. @Grover Thank you! I'm indeed quite fond of the HPWW cinnamon roll...somehow, it does look yummy despite being just a piece of plastic!

  8. Funny theme and very sweet background! I'm definitely following this.
  9. Day 1 : Pastry Stand Wintertime is pastry time! Next --- @Louis of Nutwood Thank you very much! I hope you'll enjoy the calendar!
  10. @Alfadas, @Eoin Wallace, @Grover, thank you so much for your enthusiasm! I hope you'll like it!
  11. @jalemac34 Thank you!
  12. As I really enjoyed all the custom Advent calendars that can be found all over Eurobricks, I decided to create one for Mitgardia in the Guilds of Historica forum (right here). But for family reasons, I also built this one, with Fairy Tale, Folk Tale or Christmas Tale themed minifigures. Starting from this Sunday, I'll update this topic with one minifig per day!
  13. As I really enjoyed all the custom Advent calendars that can be found all over Eurobricks, I decided to create one for Mitgardia. Starting from this Sunday, I'll update this topic with one build or minifig per day! Note : for family reasons, I also built a second Advent calendar - only minifigs and with a Fairy Tale theme. It can be found here. Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4
  14. @_TLG_ Thank you!
  15. I really love the build and the story. Quite a melancholic atmosphere, very well written and built. The roof and tree are great, with shapes that echo the sloping snow : it forms a very coherent whole. I also like the little details, such as the cat and the mouse. And the close-up photo of your character and the horse.
  16. @Redhead1982 Thank you very much! @TeriXeri Thank you! We have a classic Christmas song here in France, about how on the island of Martinique (where it's summer all year round) they decorate mango trees and Santa can't have a sleigh…and that's indeed something that came to my mind when building this MOC!
  17. @LEGO Train 12 Volts Thank you very much!
  18. @Mylenium Thank you!
  19. @neonic Thank you! Yes, there are many more fruit shacks than hamburger stands in Brickonesia...not because people here are health freaks, but simply because fruit trees grow everywhere while beef has to be imported from overseas (New-Studland generally). Oh, and Brickonesians are much more into fried corned-beef than hamburgers...
  20. @LegoMyMamma Thank you very much!
  21. I just needed to build something tropical and summery before diving into the snowy, wintery Christmas atmosphere... One of the many fruit shacks that can be found all over the Brickonesian islands, Anuanua's is located in the luxuriant park that extends along Mahini beach. Locals and tourists all enjoy a fresh snack! For more detailed photos, please expand the spoiler area.
  22. @soccerkid6 Thank you very much! I'm so glad you like my flora descriptions - @Grover also suggested to compile a Mitgardian botanical index and I'll definitely do it soon!
