    Oooh, Alrune will love that. I'm also really thrilled by the "expansion of the University" arc!

    Every proper enchanted land needs a shady castle held by a shady wizard. Perhaps a sorceress who dramatically performs some kind of magic that glows green or purple; and surrounds her domain with murder-brambles so that no one would enter. Alrune d'Embervale had intended to become exactly such a figure when she claimed a small, mist-shrouded isle at the edge of the Enchanted Forest. But then, reality ensued. Delicate, colorful flowers were growing all over her garden. Little children kept coming to her requesting a healing salve for cute forest creatures. Concerned elders regularly sent her honey cakes and butter bread because she looked too pallid to be healthy. And recently, her uncle Dresghar - her trusted but insufferably worldly advisor - suggested that perhaps her tower should not stand quite so alone. So there she is, ready to join Avalonia... [SECOND TASK] While Alrune is notoriously bad at travelling with limited luggage, she will however casually wander around Avalonia with only a very small retinue: the captain of her guards, Evrart (left) and her uncle and advisor, Dresghar (right). And perhaps some cat adopted along the way. That's all. Fig updates wrt previous book: - Alrune has an new head, with freckles. First because I had always envisioned her with freckles, second because the head I had initially chosen for her is both rare and very limited in terms of expressions. - Evrart has a new haircut as well as a new head. Mainly because black eyebrows with blonde hair have always bothered me.

    That was my first guess. But the dragon is the 7th item of the "description" leak, and the 7th item of the minifig list is the Chocolatier...

    A photo of the Unicorn Elf leaked, and her hair-and-tiara combo is gorgeous! I guess she'll have a unicorn too... Cute Witch may be of interest for medieval-fantasy too.

    @Henjin_Quilones Thank you for your input! Given also the description of the Second Task for Avalonia, I will then use in the sigfig post an "everyday" outfit (travel/light armor) that would be representative of what the character may be wearing in a mundane/mild crisis situation in Avalonia. And happily keep princess-y ballgowns, dramatic sorceress dresses and painfully basic lab robes for when I represent her in appropriate moments.

    @N-4K0, @Kai NRG, @Yperio_Bricks, @Grover, @Seagull King of Vaughan, @Khorne, @The Stad, @mrcp6d & @T-86(swebrickLUG) - Thank you so much to all for the great feedback! @Grover Indeed, I initially built the dock scene as a small, unqiue vignette. For each of the other scenes, I had one main idea (resp. the tavern stall, the puppet theatre and the gingerbread village) and then expanded the vignette around it.

    What an excellent news to kickstart this year! I hereby declare allegiance to Avalonia and will soon post a photo of my sigfig Alrune d'Embervale in the corresponding thread. She already has quite an extensive wardrobe, the challenge will be to settle down on one specific outfit for this Book!

    Day 24. Gingerbread village Alrune - "This rendition of my little town misses a properly ominous aura." Evrart - "Admit it, my Lady: you love it that way!" And so finishes this year's Advent Calendar! It has been such a pleasure to share it with you all - thank you so much for your comments and feedback. I wish you all a beautiful Christmas and end of year festivities!

    Day 23. Choir of villagers Dresghar - “Nothing says ‘Solstice spirit’ quite like a choir of villagers singing heartily in the freezing cold.” Alrune - “Indeed. The only thing more piercing than the winter wind is their enthusiasm for the high notes.”

    Day 22. Market square - part II Alrune - “This corner of the square always smells faintly of cinnamon and cloves this time of year.” Dresghar - “A conspiracy by the bakers to make us all sentimental. Resistance is futile, darling!”

    Day 21. The puppet theatre Alrune - “Did the princess just choose to attack a 6-foot tall beast with nothing but an ornamental dagger? The werewolf shall win." Evrart - "The princess has the power of a pure and valiant heart, my Lady." Alrune - "How romantic. The power of throwing a fireball would be much more efficient." And here is our third scene!

    Day 20. Storyteller and audience Storyteller - “…and the brave princess raised her silver dagger toward the snarling werewolf!” Dresghar - “Ah, the classics. The princess chose violence over diplomacy. Don't follow her example, my dear niece.”

    @GeoBrick Thank you so much! I'm really glad you like the cart - It gave me a slight headache to build... The staff bar is a new-for-2025 part that showed up in the Harry Potter theme for Quidditch brooms (part #7078). @Kai NRG Thank you so much for your detailed feedback! And unfortunately...the different scenes are not going to fit together as a bigger scene. It was my initial intent, but I ran out of time and did not manage it.

    Day 17. The market square Evrart - “Ah, the Solstice Market. It's all comfort and joy, and it attracts every pickpocket within fifty leagues.” Alrune - “Don't worry! There is no pickpocket who can match the skills of my goblin guards.” Evrart - “… That's precisely the problem, my Lady.”

Alrune - "Then you have a mission, Uncle: convince him to compose one about the mighty fighting skills and short patience of the women of Embervale instead."
