  1. I like your ideas, there could be another one experimented with - Penguin's christmas parade from Batman Returns, I would love to get a Max Shreck figure (good excuse for having a Christopher Walken figure).
  2. Ah yes, the infamous Farm sub-theme by BLX, where Johnny Thunder's European brother feeds a concrete pony. (Phtoshop on this one is spot-on!)
  3. Very nice! Would love to see some more.
  4. Wait what? *checks Brickset* No...I've been living all my life in a lie!!
  5. Wrong again, it's actually Legoland sets, they were doing so well for so many years, until discontinued in 1989, never to be seen again...
  6. Zach probably wanted people to buy his drugs (most likely reason why he was called the maniac).
  7. Hey, hey, hey! Let's not debate which theme has the true Lego fans. We all know Pirates fans are real Lego fans. (I'm just joking, I believe that a true Lego fan is a person who loves any Lego theme whatsoever.)
  8. I prefer expanding my collection with individual pieces, it saves time and money. You're quite right about that.
  9. More pigs!!!
  10. I'm supposing by forbidden route you mean buying the set? I could, but let alone pieces are those black sails, minifigures (not that I don't have Jack and Gibbs), and the flag, especially the flag. I do believe that building the MOC would cost me less, besides I have to think where I spend my money, ever since I spend a sum of it on bricks and other sum on music albums (they cost at least 20 euros each now).
  11. Really nice, I think it definitely improves whole sub-forum.
  12. Good for you. I was thinking of building a MOC of it but if i ever do, I'll have to do it from the scratch. Those hull pieces in black are 20 euros each on BL, though older versions from a castle set are 10 euros each, so that might do.
  13. I guess it's what makes us do things what we do, the fact that we don't always get what we want makes us strive for achieving these things, yet we don't and continue chasing it all our lives. It's a scary concept really. (I never did get that Black Pearl set.)
  14. *khem* Mega Bloks *khem* I guess they copy from whatever set they have obtained. I for one have never seen a knockoff version of 70413.
  15. I think these new road plates are rather good for kids. I like the concept of connecting many sets together, to create one huger thing. But this one is clearly more expensive. Not all parents will be able to afford this stuff. Also I think they should've kept road baseplates (even though they would sell way better that new ones). It's sad to see Lego abandon this design, but I guess all good things must come to an end.
  16. Not sure to which brand it belongs to, but yes, it is fake. What indicates it, is said in the last picture - gap between legs and no logo. Where did you buy this pony? After doing some research I couldn't find a grey pony on sale anywhere, which just indicates that it's a fake even further. I'm having my suspicion that it might be one of a kind made by a small manufacturer (possibly private). Good thing for you to have such thing, though in my personal experience they are made out of plastic that is from more toxic chemicals than Lego. Not a reason not to keep it though. (Just to clarify, officialy pony mold has only appeared in two Lego sets and in one color, which is brown, correct?)
  17. Wow, that is really super. It is amazing, that you've built such a vessel, though just like any other Lego ship, she has balance problems, that can never be solved. I guess maybe you could try putting some more weight at the front, and as for the sides - maybe it should be wider. I'm not criticizing her, you've an amazing job on this vessel and I'm interested to see if there could be done some improvements in the future.
  18. ''Celebrating 4 years of LEGO Pirate Photography with the Pirates of Barracuda Bay'' by Maelick (This picture is taken from a blog with the same title) Original blog: https://www.stuckinplastic.com/2020/03/celebrating-4-years-of-lego-pirate-photography-with-the-pirates-of-barracuda-bay/
  19. Quite amazing how his legacy still lives on and will do so for many years to come. Cheers, Ole, wherever you may be.
  20. I love the fact that you made it seem even more realistic (cassette and CD openings and shelf pins). It is a nice model depicting all three major formats and since I'm familiar with them and they are a big part of my life, how couldn't I support it? Good job!
  21. It works also with a katana, but looks a bit off. Other swords simply do not fit (as far as I know), it was designed for cutlass wielding and looks best that way, though that doesn't forbid you to experiment with it and use for other swords.
  22. Amazing scenery, pictures sure do justice to the builds. Also, didn't comment on the other topic but that series is amazing (love the cheesy jokes), will Havana (with this scenery) feature in the series too? It would be nice to see different towns and alike.
  23. Lovely builds, those soldiers seem to be doing a good job at polishing their helmets (probably why Romans had such success). Second picture makes me regret that I chewed almost all those rubber tip spears. Also, what are those legs from?
  24. Be careful what you wish for, if we were living in 2000s, they would probably make it chrome gold.
