Looks like Augusts D2C reveals have begun. The Volkswagen Van got officially revealed today and has an August 1st release date, and just about everyone is saying that the Republic Gunship is getting revealed Thursday and will also have an August 1st release date. If we're getting our Mario D2C in August, we'll probably know about it in the next few days

After seeing Spiderman last week, I got a bit worried that all the figures were going the route of being overly detailed to the point of looking like a bootleg. Boy was I glad to be wrong. The printing on the legs and body is absolutely a 10/10. The head would've been a 10/10 too if they'd made the goggle printing wrap all the way around like that one cmf skeleton a few years back, but I'll still take it! The hair look...odd. Hopefully you guys are right and its just the photo and the weird angle the piece is at though. Regardless, that piece is gonna be so useful for so many figs (Wong, Winston Zeddemore, Blade). I hope Lego actually utilizes it.

I’m pretty sure that set list was neither debunked nor confirmed. Those sets are really far out and nobody reliable backed them , so the consensus here was just to wait and see before we get our hopes up. Waiting to buy the Benetar, so I can’t really help you there. I’m pretty sure there’s no official way to combine those sets, but I’m sure someone has more to say about that than me. As for the Milano, I’m right there with you. Getting one next year would rock, but I don’t think it’s all that likely. I could very well see the Benetar staying on shelves until the new Guardians movie in 2023, and I don’t think they’d have two very similar very large ships on sale at the same time.

So last year's Mario D2C was officially revealed on July 14th and released on August 1st. We had crystal clear photos of the box about a day before the reveal, blurry photos about a day before that, and a leaked photo of the exclusive Mario piece about two days before that. Assuming that this year's D2C will be launching with the rest of the wave like last year, I'd guess that we're probably within a week of either an official reveal or pictures beginning to circulate. tldr: Lego Stores had this set in hand and photo leaks were beginning at about this time last year. Any last guesses?

This wave would look ok at best on a display shelf, but honey looks like a lot of fun for kids to build and play. In other words, I’d say this is a pretty good Lego Mario wave. Glad to see that they’re still managing to come up neat ideas and finding new areas of the series to include in builds. Gives me a lot of hope that they’ll continue to develop the Mario line, and hopefully the Nintendo liscense as a whole. Hope we see the D2C and any retail exclusives during Legocon this weekend.

Lego listed Super Mario as one of the themes that’ll appear on the Lego Con stream. I’m guessing that they’ll probably reveal the D2C then, and definitely the august wave if they haven’t already by the time the event rolls around.

Apparently the set might be coming soon? Thats pretty exciting and a really quick turnaround time if true! Could never justify buying the dimensions set because of the price, so I’m really excited to finally get my hands on a Sonic minifigure.

To be fair, being better than the 2019 sets is an awfully low bar to clear. I’m pretty sure we’ve already seen more unique torsos leaked for this wave than there were in the entire 2019 wave

We’ve had a few disappointing minifigures in a row now. I’m starting to consider that this might not be the definitive fan service wave we thought it would be if they’re cheaping out on the most important part.

Yeah, so many of the details about this Lego-Nintendo partnership don't make a ton of sense. The only explanation for why I could imagine Lego is hesitant to expand into other Nintendo properties is because they got burned by Overwatch a few years back, and wanted to make sure Mario did well before going all in.

That’s a good way of putting it. I feel like Lego wouldn’t sell minifigure sets and these current sets at the same time, and they’re probably gonna keep this iteration going until it’s no longer profitable.

If we do end up getting a reveal of this wave in the coming week, do you think we could be getting a reveal of the D2C as well? I can't remember if the NES was revealed with the other sets or separately, so I might need someone to jog my memory.

Unless the D2C is another console or includes minifigures, I’ll probably not be too interested. So to answer your question, I hope! Every wave has had a set that we predicted or was rumored to finally have minifigures. So I’d say the chances are as moderate as ever.

Lego sure knows how to avoid leaks from this theme. We got the prices moths ago and that's it.

I don’t immediately think of Kingpin when I think of the Daily Bugle, but the leaks did mention a second building and it’s very characteristic of Lego to stick a character like him in a set like this. I guess it’s possible?

I might even go as far to say that the new Mantis fig is straight up bad. It’s got that same inaccurate face print from four years ago and I was really hoping for duel molded arms. I feel like this was our one chance to get an accurate Mantis too. Oh well I guess. The figs in this line that we’ve seen have been mostly excellent, and there’s a chance she could end up in the Thor 4 sets that’ll probably come out with the new movie. Plus who knows, maybe she has a fabric skirt piece that wasn’t included in the leak like Marvin the Martian. And maybe I fell for a fake leak again and none of these criticisms matter.

They can be needlessly cryptic sometimes, but we love ‘em and it’s all in good fun. I genuinely think the leakers build more anticipation from fans than any marketing campaign Lego can cook up *cough* @Ashnflash *cough* I’ve seen leakers in other communities get huge egos and go on power trips, but that’s definitely not the case here. ...except for when it comes to this year’s Harry Potter sets. From what I’ve heard, they’re being tortured over there XD

I think the problem here isn’t that Lego can’t seem to find room in the Marvel budget for new molds, but rather that the Marvel budget is too small to include room for relatively frequent new molds. Lego is the biggest toy company on the planet. With the prices they charge, I think they could spare a few bucks here and there to maintain a high level of quality for their products. I do agree that they should use the Black Panther ears for Daredevil though. They’re more accurate to Daredevil than they are to Black Panther

Thank goodness today is April Fools, because any other day of the year I would've fallen for this I really appreciate the effort fulcrum put in. Obviously it's pretty darn blurry, but I think I'd be mostly satisfied if this was the actual set. I wish all fake leaks were this high-effort.

Wow, good eye. Leak season is particularly bad in terms of fakes this year (especially on Instagram). I've already fallen for one fake this week, so I'm just going to rely on word of mouth from you guys from now on lol.
