  1. Haha I did exactly that a few times when I was a kid. I learned how to use the old LDD to POV Ray rendering engine, blur it in gimp, add the watermark, then lower the quality and send it off to leakers on Reddit (back when that was allowed). League of Legends already has a comparatively small audience compared to the kinds of licenses Lego usually goes for, and fans of the E-Sports aspect of the series are an even smaller segment. Not saying it's impossible, but I think the more likely scenario is that someone had a fun weekend in stud.io and photoshop then decided to try their hand as a "leaker".
  2. The only wish I had for this wave was for a cheap classic Jurassic Park Jeep I can display on my Speed Champions shelf, and I'm just a teensy bit worried it's going to end up undersized. Hearing that 76958 comes with a jungle build and some accessories isn't a particularly great sign. I think as many of those 211 pieces as possible need to go into the jeep in order to reach that magical Speed Champions scale. The set being 6+ usually isn't too good of a sign either, but I guess it's better to wait and see than to preemptively disappoint myself! The new Indiana Jones fighter plane set is only 8+ and the car in it looks awesome, so here's to hoping!
  3. Lego designing a set that violates their own standards, sitting on it for two years, panicking when they realize that they're making a children's toy with a human sacrifice altar, then canceling it a month before release would be the most in-character blunder they've ever made and one of the funniest things they've ever done. In retrospect, it's still kind of baffling in the first place that they had the opportunity to make a fun minecart set with their super popular roller coaster system, a car chase set with a bunch of cute old-timey cars, or even a playset base on the iconic bridge scene, and they chose the borderline racist option
  4. Don’t forget that Splatoon was pulled off Lego Ideas at the same time as Zelda! It was already a little suspicious when Splatoon and Zelda were the only two Nintendo IPs blocked from the platform, and now that Zelda is confirmed, I’d say it’s pretty darn likely that Lego is at least considering doing something Splatoon related.
  5. The teaser for this set became Lego's most liked tweet ever. Basic Build? Definitely. Cringeworthy? Maybe. Bargain bin set? I'd have to guess no on this one.
  6. I'll do everything in my power to get the Mushroom House if it ends up on the Bricklink Designer Program
  7. Sounds like Legoland might need to make a Super Nintendo World of their own! Throw in some Mario 64 worlds and a few Pikmin stages and I'd absolutely make the trek down to San Diego.
  8. I’m sure someone on rebrickable will have your back when this set comes out!
  9. You never know, there was a quadcopter is the latest trailer and Lego never passes up the opportunity to shoehorn in a quadcopter or two. In all seriousness, lego can put out whatever sets they want and they’ll sell as long as they have the Zelda logo on them. Personally I far prefer the older Zeldas, but getting any Zelda at all is a stepping stone to getting the sets based on the classics that I think a lot of us want.
  10. I’ve been staring at this garbled mess for 10 minutes straight and I genuinely cannot tell if it’s real or not. Like there are a bunch of areas that seriously hurt my brain to look at, it has all the telltale signs of an AI generated image, and some parts don’t even look like Lego. Not to mention how bizarre and inaccurate the color choices and layout are for an 18+ display set. But at the same time, this matches the description EXACTLY and there are techniques that I don’t think an AI could come up with. I also noticed that the figs are placeholders, which I don’t think an AI would pick up on, but would make sense if this pic was snapped really quickly at an in person event like a toy show or a fan media day (there’s even a little plaque with renders of the figs next to the model in that case). I’m not even gonna try to make a final guess, if I look at this image much longer I’m afraid I might have a stroke.
  11. Honestly these are just OK. My fault for hyping myself up so much over this last year. The only one that I'd say is actually a letdown is the Well of Souls. It was my most anticipated set, but it's pretty much just a big wall, two identical builds for statues, and a big open floor with not nearly enough snakes. The figs look awesome though, and I'll reserve judgement until we get better pics.
  12. Yup, it's been banned on Lego Ideas for years (otherwise I would've submitted a project by now).
  13. Just in case your day wasn't already overflowing with Lego news, it appears that Square Enix is holding a vote to see which location from Final Fantasy VII fans want to see them turn into a large-scale Lego build. I honestly doubt this is official at all, but I'm still excited to see which one wins (I'm totally voting for Aerith's house). Anyways here's the Tweet:
  14. Wow, it looks like they made new molds for every figure in that Deku Tree set! Is Navi printed on a clear minifigure heard? I’m pretty happy with both builds too, even if they’re supposedly just prototypes. I just hope we don’t have to wait too long to see better pictures (people are guessing this is a 2024 set and I really hope it’s not!)
  15. https://www.promobricks.de/lego-leak-umfrage-2023/157463/ I, for one, would like to formally apologize to @JeanGreyForever
  16. Hey guys, I posted my Hollow Knight project on this form a couple of years ago and we're finally almost at 10k! At the time of posting this we have less than 30 to go, so I would SUPER appreciate it if any of you guys would be willing to drop by and leave your support! Who knows, you might even be the ten thousandth https://ideas.lego.com/projects/66cf4c6c-8932-49af-8445-6443ca1cd6bc
  17. Oh damn they rejected the one that was gonna donate half its proceeds to the American Heart Association
  18. Somehow, Mr. No returned.
  19. I’m excited to see which hat piece they’ll using for Short Round. I’m guessing it’ll be the Stranger Things hair-hat combo even though the hair isn’t that accurate, but they’ll probably just go with the regular baseball cap piece since Mola Ram is for sure going to have a crazy new helmet mold. edit: after posting this, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m officially out of things to say about these rumors. See you all when new leaks come out.
  20. It's gotta be the Well of Souls for me. The original was one of my favorite sets as a kid (if I go digging on the old family computer back home I could probably an old brickfilm or two I made with it), and the idea of an expanded version with more figs, more brick built detail, and modern parts is super exciting! Really curious to see how Lego is going to handle the ark build this time around too. And I know it's not really in the scene, but a 1x1 print of the headpiece would be the icing on the cake. Welcome to the forum!
  21. Hasbro is having an Indiana Jones livestream tomorrow. I know Lego kinda reveals stuff on their own schedule, but it’s exciting to see reveals are starting!
  22. I just hacked into the shop at home servers and uncovered a hidden set that wasn't mentioned in any of the leaks /s
  23. If they did a $10 set that was just Indy, a fridge, and a prairie dog, I unironically think it would sell well.
  24. Just this past week, they altered their open license for D&D, and now third parties that make things like idea books or manuals have to pay 25% royalties. While that’s not totally unheard of, it’s still pretty crappy that they withdrew their support of the community like that; like imagine if Lego started charging Mechabricks or Bickset for using their trademarks. Unfortunately for them, they announced this like a day before they announced the D&D Ideas contest winner, so that good press was totally buried by this controversy.
  25. Anyways how about those Mario rumors eh?
