  1. Lebowski Thor possibly just leaked. Really impressive printing on this one! Guess those rumors about the belly/beard mold weren't true if this ends up being real.
  2. There’s a scene in the new Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode with all the main characters, a truck, and a helicopter. 10 bucks says we’ll get a set based off that scene because that seriously checks all of Lego’s boxes
  3. I know I'm a little late to the party here, but that Shuri figure rules. That face print might be the single most impressive one I've seen in Lego. I didn't even know that the chinstrap could be printed so low! I've got high hopes for the rest of the wave and especially the CMF after today's leaks.
  4. You never know. Lego never misses a chance to do a helicopter
  5. Do we know if they're gonna use a regular minifigure head for the new bigfig system? Because if they do, that opens the door for so much customization. Maybe the minifigure Thanos from the sanctuary set and the final battle Thanos will have different face prints so you can swap them out. At the very least it would be fun to give Thanos all sorts of fun hats and hair.
  6. Bummer. I get that forcing villain characters into sets is necessary for selling to kids, but in a $150 18+ set? I know I'm certainly not the first (nor will I be the last) person to say this, but the Benetar's minifigure selection is getting more and more "meh" the more we hear about it. I've been waiting for a UCS Guardians of the Galaxy set for a while, and I've got the 2017 Drax sitting in a box somewhere in storage so I'll probably still pick up the set sometime this summer.
  7. Here's a question for you guys: do you think Promobricks made a mistake with the minifigs on the Benetar and confused Drax for a Chitauri? They're both grey, bald figures with a bunch of printing, and its obviously super weird that Lego would shoehorn a villain character into a UCS set and leave out a main character who hasn't been printed in 4 years.
  8. Happy Mar10 day! I know I was hoping for some new set announcements, but hearing that Mario had the best launch of 2020 was probably the best announcement I could've hoped for. Looks like Lego Mario is here to stay!
  9. Getting some 2008 Speed Racer vibes. Probably a pass for me unless the figs are good or there's a new bike piece or something.
  10. Man, I remember reading this form back in 2019 and seeing the reactions to those Endgame leaks from the instruction manual. Honestly, my interest with lego Marvel died with that wave, but these sets genuinely interest me. It might be a little early to call this a victory for the fans, but I’m genuinely excited about this theme again. It’s also been a hot minute since a D2C outside of Ideas or Nintendo has gotten my attention. Fingers crossed that they don’t blow this wave!
  11. I figured I might drop some of my existing projects here since this thread didn't exist when I first published them. Here's a link to my Cowboy Bebop project I made about a year back. Never been much of an anime fan personally, but I went out on a limb and binged this show right at the beginning of quarantine (great show by the way; it totally reminds me of Guardians of the Galaxy). Right from the start I knew I had to make one of the ships in Lego, and it ended up being my first Ideas project! In hindsight, I'm extremely surprised Lego would let a property like Cowboy Bebop on the site at all, but I think this was right before they started actually regulating things. Regardless, I'm real happy with how this one turned out, and it brings back memories of stud.io renders and photoshop effects crashing my laptop during Zoom classes. Here's a link to my other current project, CRASH BANDICOOT: N. SANITY BEACH. This just started as a random MOC to try out some new techniques, but it ended up turning into a whole project because I liked the look of it. I remember working off of leaks from the newest game at the time, so most of the minifigures ended up looking pretty cursed as a result. I'd definitely do many things very differently now (too much stacking, repetitious builds, etc.), but I guess that's all part of the learning curve. Thanks for taking the time to check these out, and hopefully you'll consider supporting! I'll possibly end up posting my next project here too once it gets approved.
  12. I love this set so much! I supported this project the first time it came around because I think this set is a genuinely awesome idea that was extremely well executed. Unfortunately, Lucasfilm only allowed Mel Brooks to make Spaceballs under the pretense that there wouldn't be any merchandise so that it wouldn't compete with Star Wars merch sales (that's why the movie makes so many jokes about merchandise and why Dark Helmet is so obsessed with his action figures). But who knows? That was a while back, and Disney might be willing to ease up on that deal nowadays.
  13. Wow, it's been a while since there have been sets this divisive! Really not a huge fan of most of these if I'm being honest. Hogsmeade is the only one that I'd consider buying. The rest just feel... out of place in this line. My best hope is that that's on purpose, and that they're harkening back to the look of classic Lego Harry Potter (sand green roof, big gaps instead of window, etc.) for the celebration of the 25th anniversary. Well, these are preliminaries after all, so they'll look at least slightly better on release. I remember thinking the same thing back when the Great Hall was first on display in 2018, and that set ended up being excellent!
  14. Yeah I’ve gotta agree with you there. Those projects always have an easy enough time getting the votes and all, but they never seem to get through the review stage. It even seems like Lego is hitting the breaks with NASA and space stuff for now. There have been probably two-dozen larger scale real-world cars over the years, but only one has been approved. Same goes for planes too (no offense @Oilzzz). There have been a consistent amount of planes for years, but Lego has shown zero interest. I sort of get the impression that Lego wants to make these things on their own terms, sort of like how there’s never been a modular from Ideas or like how they keep denying Nintendo sets.
  15. Good luck! Not the biggest Undertale fan, but I always thought that Snowden was such a cozy and fun location with a lot of cool buildings and characters. Undertale still has a huge fanbase and I could totally see this project reaching 10Kif you play your cards right. Make sure to post here if you want any advice and definitely drop a link to the project on here when you're done! This is such a clever concept for a set. There are so many generic planes on LEGO IDEAS, this is such a breath of fresh air. I'd imagine this must've been a nightmare to design with all those stickers, but I'd say they definitely payed off with the level of detail they provided. Best of luck to you!
  16. $180 is such a weird price point for a D2C. However, I don’t think another console is actually that unlikely if they don’t include a T.V. The price to part ratio could be just right if they were to do just a Super Nintendo or something. But I really think that the theme is ready for minifigures already. I could totally see them going the Simpsons route and lock them in a pricy D2C set at first, then release them in a cheaper CMF line in 2022 or something. Also, I totally agree with you @jedisquidward, now that you mention it I don’t think Peach’s castle could be executed properly for that price point.
  17. Hopefully we’ll at least get another D2C this year. The NES was the closest thing to a regular set we’ve gotten since this whole Nintendo partnership started. A minifig-scale Peach’s Castle would be the perfect way to introduce traditional figures into the theme, but I feel like that’s still wishful thinking at this point. Lego clearly has some grand plan for this theme, and I’d be surprised if we don’t get minifigures or other Nintendo properties eventually.
  18. Anybody think we'll be seeing minifigures this year? I’m pretty sure it’s confirmed we’re not getting a cmf series, but do we know anything else about this theme moving forward?
  19. If that’s the case, we might just set a new record for the longest thread on this site ?
  20. Yeah I’d put money on that tile being fake. I feel like it would’ve been a sticker if it were real, and there’s something that’s just a little off about it. If anything, it could be an accessory for a minifigure from the new series, but I highly doubt it.
  21. Yeah pretty much. I’ve been periodically checking #legoleaks all week and it’s just gotten super depressing. I feel genuinely awful for all the leakers who are getting harassed over Danish plastic building blocks. Ninjawhip in particular has been getting picked on a ton by some wannabe edgelord who just discovered 4chan. Is there anything we can do besides report them? Is there some other source for leaks so we can avoid that mess all together?
  22. Yeah that sounds pretty plausible. Quick question though: I’ve noticed retailer exclusives are usually right around the $20-30 price range. Is this always the case, or are there larger retail exclusives from time to time?
  23. I feel like if there was a chamber of secrets set coming out, we definitely would’ve heard about it this late in the game. But on the other hand, we do have one less set (that we know of) in this wave. Very possible that another COS set somehow slipped under the radar.
  24. I’m really hyped for this wave! Privet Drive sounds awesome already, and I missed out on the burrow last time, so I’m hoping this one will be even better. I’m praying that they don’t waste any pieces on lame side builds like a wedding tent or a garage, but even if they do, this one supposedly has almost double the part count of the last one or something. Who am I kidding, so many of these sets sound like insta-buys for me already! Also, call me crazy but I’m kinda enjoying the slow trickle of leaks we’ve been getting. Always gives me something to look forward to in the morning. However, #legoleaks on Instagram has kinda gone downhill lately...
  25. Leaked sticker sheets? Wow, this isn’t a common occurrence is it?
