  1. So now it's supposedly to represent being underwater and part of a gungan set?
  2. If true, im mixed. I mean it would allow you to use the fig as normal and force ghost, as well as making others into this new format, however the look........ Would have to see in person. It's a different attempt for sure!
  3. Wow, these are all awesome. I can't wait until someone drops a huge and super detailed UCS style MOC. These Mando vehicles are killing me! But the Razorcrest needs company!
  4. Got the email from Brickvault on this the other day. It truly is beautiful! If I ever find the space and money, it would definitely be my next MOC!
  5. So Mirko, when will you drop a hint for SB00601? Less than a month to go!
  6. As I can only use pictures for reference, Starbricks U-wing is still my favorite in person set I have ever built. The engines alone crush the Brick Vault's version. That being said, getting the instructions and the build is much more costly. I have not seen another version that comes close to Mirko's, but I also haven't spent alot of time looking. So my opinion is probably jaded.
  7. Havent been on the boards for a bit, but noticed this looking at the most recent pages. Is 75321 (or is it 75303) supposed to be this years UCS? What the heck is with all the $350-$800 sets the last few years? Besides the A-wing is $200 a thing of the past?!
  8. I am actually intrigued by this. The previous Hulkbuster didnt really feel like a UCS to me, just a beefed up regular set, which is why I personally skipped it. This sounds like a real UCS, and if it looks beautiful and display ready, sign me up! I may need to transfer some budget from Star Wars to Marvel!
  9. Having an option to display a UCS as a model, or a playset, or a hybrid of both would be amazing, however I think the vehicle determines this more that a shift in direction. A minifig scale AT-AT lends itself to removing a side panel, and having tons of space for figs and play feature more so than others. That being said, they could have not created what looks to be an amazing set! But I wouldn't view this as a sign of things to come. As others have said, the size and scale typically determines the figures (although plenty of people never seem to learn), but it is nice to know what is possible! If I was not happy with my plus size AT-AT I would be finding things to sell to try and afford this!
  10. I doubt it. The size of the AT-AT, lends itself to a bit of a hybrid. Display piece and play feature, kinda like the sandcrawler, and the falcon. The gunship (if it was smaller scale) would have had more for sure.
  11. Definitely nice looking, feels like the sandcrawler, kinda a hybrid UCS/MBS. Can look good as a vehicle, but also play features. That being said, easy enough to pass for $800, I am happy with my plus size AT-AT, but I am sure I is harder to resist in person.
  12. Say whaaaaa!!!!!! Damn with prices like that I may choose to part with my book, build and everything someday. Although it did cost me about $75-80 to get to the U.S. to begin with, and then the actual parts cost a decent amount years ago, probably a bit more now. It is an awesome build for sure! Hopefully people will still want it down the road!
  13. I'm not going to lie, this was the first moc, I think I used about 4 drops of crazy glue on a couple connections, just so I didn't have to worry about it. Love looking at this thing daily.
  14. I agree with this. Was hoping to pick up a new Fett. Don't want to pay $60 for a slave I when I have the UCS, and don't want to spend $100 on a palace I don't want! lol. I was also hoping for a small $30 range set to grab Fett!
  15. I think Prequel UCS Sets will get there day, but there not going to drop a large grey and red piece of cheese, when there is a $700 grey only piece of cheese sitting on the shelf. I think the only case a Venator would have is 1-2 years or more after the current SD retires. Overall, with the mix of crazy expensive sets, MF, SD, and now AT-AT, combined with the MBS line, updates like the Y-wing, Speeder, and R2, new UCS like the A-wing, Gunship, and potentially the land speeder they have had a good mix that will take time to make everyone happy. As someone who missed out on older sets, I like the updates, and new items regardless of the trilogy, I'm more worried about the frequency of these big $$$ sets. The AT-AT will be my first pass in awhile as I am happy with the plus size MOC I have, and a third $700-800 set in 4 years is a bit much for me!
  16. I am a fan of the sabers, but not how they have been distributed. The first was limited and gone in minutes, and a second comes with a $800 purchase? And won't be hanging around like the sailboat I am sure! This should be a series like the helmets.
  17. Technically it would be a new ship/craft/land vehicle/ IDK, LOL! I always wondered when I would stop buying UCS sets, due to space, size, cost, etc. This may be a good time to jump ship!
  18. I thought it was on the retirement list for the end of the year, (which was really quick) I got one, but was hoping to grab another. Hopefully it is not gone already!
  19. Wow! Landspeeder really? I would take a redone UCS Vader Tie, B-Wing, AT-ST, almost anything over a speeder. I mean it is iconic, but next to other vehicles on a shelf at the size it would be, very underwhelming. At least its not a crazy expensive set, but they could have pushed this farther down the line. Also, all these leaks, but still no pic of the AT-AT. I can't afford another set of that size, but I still want to see it!!
  20. I am not getting the AT-AT when it finally arrives, but would sure seem whatever difference or size the Hoth AT-ST is, you would it would fit perfectly to the scale of the UCS AT-AT. Combined with the hoth battle pack, apparently they want everyone to spend $1000+ to recreate hoth?! They already had the Hoth MBS, maybe they will make an 18+ Shield Generator next! And pretend the previous set didn't happen!
  21. I have still had no luck checking multiple targets and walmarts around my area. I finally stopped in a lego store, (which was down to its last box) and did not allow any feeling. I only got five, because I am only interested in about 7 of the figs, but got a few I wanted. Cap-Falcon, Bucky, and Loki, got a Bucky duplicate, and a zombie Cap which I definitely had no interest in! Hopefully they start to show up! It was much easier to find the last series of Harry Potter when they came out!
  22. Well the one thing I am not liking for this new direction is the cost and volume. My oldest daughter collected the 2018-2020 sets, which usually had 1 large set, and then maybe one other smaller set, if that, that was connected to it directly. Making 1-2 sets a year attainable (christmas, birthdays, etc) and enjoyable for her to build and add on. Now with the re-launch (sooner that I would have liked for sure!) There are what, 4 sets that go together, with 3 more rumored early next year, followed by ??? in summer. So in one years time, there may be as many as 10 sets that go together? I realize no one has to buy any of these, but if that is the overall intention, and then you continue to pop out other sets in the line, are kids or there parents really supposed to spend that? If the new line is going to run 3 years like before, how large will it be? Or will they stop for a year or two, and just allow people to catch up. Really perplexed by this line. And crossing my fingers my youngest doesn't want all of these to follow in her sisters foot steps!
  23. I checked my local Target and Walmart today and found nothing as well! The closest Lego store is kind of a pain, and I only want 6 or so of them, so I don't want to buy online. I guess the hunt will take awhile.
  24. I'd be all in, if they could guarantee six different CMF's! Outside of that, seems pointless, and as you said, a waste.
  25. Time will tell, but I think NWH will be a one off in the sense of the returning characters. Allows them to acknowledge the past a bit through the multiverse, while always setting up different versions for the MCU in the future. For the marvel lego fans, hopefully that means multiple sets now and the future to look forward too.
