LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Well if true, unfortunate! But at least I can save some money. Have never been a fan of the UCS/MBS style playsets, only collect the ships. But to those who have been waiting, enjoy! -
SB00301 B-PROJECT (MOC Resistance Bomber UCS)
Frizzlefry25 replied to StarBricks's topic in LEGO Star Wars
During the covid-19 quarantine period, I was inspired and got to complete my next MC SB00501. It is ready and built and on display above my table in the LEGO room. I can only anticipate that it is composed of 6000 parts and that as usual it will be an unseen thing ;-) Is there anyone else who wonders what that lego room looks like?!!! Would love to see a picture of that someday, minus the SB00501 surprise! -

That is great news indeed! While it will be a ways off, I am even more excited for your K project! I am afraid to even ask Mirko, with how busy you must be, and with what the world is dealing with. Are you somehow also working on another project for next year? And I just answered my own question. SB00501 coming next year! I don't know how you do it all! Constant Evolution huh? Let the guessing begin! -

Everyone is different. I voted for it, because I just want to see an amazing UCS set. For me there are alot of factors, as this thread covers in detail. I have both the latest falcon and ISD. As such, more $350+ sets are probably not going to happen for me, unless they are spread out! I like the display factor, and I only display UCS sized Lego Sets, and a few MOCS. I voted for the gunship, but ultimately my decision will be based on the design, and cost, not the minifigures. Buying a $200 UCS once or twice a year, is much easier than a $700 and $350. I hope we continue to get a mix of OT, PT, and remakes as I never buy aftermarket at higher prices, so being able to get better versions of past UCS is something I am grateful for. That being said, Lego could do whatever they want. Why not make a larger scale Gunship with 4-5 Figs, however make three different squads of clones that could be swapped out. I think there in a hard spot, system scale wont really justify the UCS line, larger UCS becomes a more expensive set without figs. Something I think the Prequels has going against them. People always want lots of clones! -

I hope so as well! The only remakes I am waiting on are the Lambda and a B-wing as I missed out on them. As for remakes in general, if the Lambda is true, not too surprising. The only two older UCS without a remake after the Lambda is the AT-ST, and Vader's Tie, Which now that I think about, I would need as well! -
UCS Mon Calamari Star Cruiser "CONFIDENCE" (MOC)

Wow, been following this, and went back through your previous pics. Your improvements are very noticable and amazing! I couldn't imagine trying to tackle all those shapes myself, I need to live through the community! Would love to add a Mon Cal ship to my collection someday, and this may be it! Amazing work again, looking forward to the finished product! -

This is true! I saw her in the commercials, and the last time I went with my family, I told my girls to go talk to her. She ended up spending 15 minutes with them, (talking in character) taking them all throughout the land, and then snuck us in as members of the resistance into the Smugglers Run ride! Bypassed an hour plus wait, and created an amazing moment for my girls. We be picking up that set just because of that! I think she also plays a part in the first order ride, and is effectively canon now. I only hope this isn't a park exclusive, and will be interested in the confirmed price. -
[MOC] UCS Nebulon-b frigate (by Dranac, feat. onecase))

I have no issues with it whatsoever. I love the entire build, and the blue looks great especially considering the price for the green. I thinks it a good compromise. -

I couldn't afford those as well as its basically only in the old slave I build. I ending up using Sand Blue for those instead and replaced the other sand green with the blue as well. -
I wouldn't mind a re-issue of that shuttle. It came out before I could afford UCS sets. It definitely holds up well!

Well if that true, I wont have to worry about it, but I know I will have to get one for my girls! -
A Wing arriving today, woohoo!

I know the B project is not yet ready, but I'm already waiting for the K project! Really love this build!

I get that, but at this point its been established that a UCS set is $199 or higher. Its within 50 pieces of the Snowspeeder and basically the same size. And if they are going to pump out 1-2 UCS a year some vehicles just have to be scaled differently. Maybe you can get it on sale! -

Indeed! After getting this, I still need the B-Wing, so now I have to wait for that re-issue. Have to start somewhere! -

For people who think the A-wing could be underwhelming, or high cost, low piece count etc. They could add the pieces to allow you to choose between two colors. It would never happen, but would make it more interesting for sure, and only if it still cost $200 -

Nice! And sadly probably true. I'm getting it regardless! I need a UCS project, and as long as they keep making sets I missed out on, or have never made, I'm in! I still have a little bit of room left but not much. 6 UCS sets, and 5 MOCS take up space! -

I hope its not delayed, although I totally get why with these crazy times. That being said, I wouldn't mind a project to work on to pass some time. -

Agreed with the repeat on the Mando, that is surprising. What other set would produce a Beskar version? Maybe this will change? -

Well even though I usually stick to UCS sets, as I don't like to display normal sets with those. I think I will have to pick that up anyways! And you can already pre-order. Damn! September is far off, will pre-orders last forever? Or is the countdown to out of stock already begun? I dont remember such an early pre-order ever? -
SB00201 TS-PROJECT (MOC Tie Silencer UCS)
Frizzlefry25 replied to StarBricks's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It also doesn't impact the build. I added the lit after finishing the entire thing, and it was relatively easy. So at least you dont have to wait on the build, while they get the store or a new method sorted out. It does look rather nice!- 289 replies

Best chance would probably be to post in the original U project thread. I have seen people post in there before when they are looking to sell the instructions and pieces together for various reasons. It doesn't happen often, but maybe someday someone will be willing to let there's go. It is damn impressive.

Don't forget Rogue one AT-ACT! Or if in doubt, just build Raskonikov's Plus size AT-AT, a little bigger than the standard lego AT-AT, better detail, and if another one does come, should be real easy to add a few more parts. -
First off, Happy Birthday Mirko! You have an amazing way of celebrating your birthday. Secondly, I love K2, and your totally caught me off guard with the droid, amazing work as always! The details are simply brilliant, and I can't wait to build this two and half foot tall droid! I know historically your MOC's don't utilize rare pieces, is that again the case here? Also, they have started off an existing set (that could be bought as a starting point). I am guessing that is a no as well? Congrats again, on another mind blowing MOC!
