  1. Main Street has grown on me a bit but three things really drive me crazy. First, the cost, which is a problem in lots of lines, but historically I have felt much more value on bigger Disney sets, such as the Castle and Train Station. Secondly, if you are going to charge that much, I think we needed both sides of the emporium so you have a little bit more in the beginning. (not that I expect every little detail) Lastly, due to the price I don't want to spend even more to add these details, so the only way I see myself getting this is somehow with a massive discount down the road. Also, since I didn't get it I would have been upset, but could have bricklinked later, there should have been a promo of one of there transportation vehicles when it came out! I really wish this was $299.00! It would be palatable.
  2. Like others have said, compared to past Disney sets, it definitely feels a step below! Way overpriced for the number of buildings and pieces. I like getting the engine to go with the firehouse, and the popcorn machine etc, but those items and many small pieces add to the piece count, resulting in basically 3 buildings, plus 2 store fronts. The store fronts make sense for many of the smaller building on Main street, however we got way more value and detail from the original Diagon Alley set, and if you were to buy 4 sets of the cheaper individual Diagon Alley sets, (which Main Street is more like), you would end up with 8 buildings or more for less cost and a better build. If they expanded the Emporium to have like two store fronts on the left side so that it kinda flows more into the fire station (minus the gate like in real life) and charged $350 instead I think It would feel more of a value. Was looking forward to this, but the execution and price make it an easy no. And I sure wouldn't want to pump even more through MOD's or MOCS to make it better and add to the cost! I like they did one side of the street, because I figured you would need both, but it's botched so bad that now if the second one comes it won't matter. At least I don't have to worry about space now, but still bummed.
  3. Well if you use Diagon Alley as a guide which had over 5500 pieces, and four buildings, but really 6 facades. And considering main street buildings would be smaller.... thats 1500 less pieces so could 4 smaller building covering 6-8 facades be possible, maybe? As much as my wallet and space says no, I feel like there would have to be a Main Street Phase 1, and a follow up later to do it justice!
  4. Dang! So much for getting Zeb! Definitely don't want another Razorcrest, and that new one definitely looks about 4 studs shorter in the body and another 4-6 in the tail, although the tail is more cosmetic. Seems like the trend of shorter and smaller versions, although it does look decent! I turned the original into Jerac's MOC, and then skipped the UCS due to size and cost. Maybe a sale way down the road...... at least the small size wouldn't take up much space. Definitely a waiting game.
  5. They did Piglet Dirty! Yikes!!!!
  6. Im still waiting for my shuttle sticker sheet, sadly my set did not have one, and after trying online and multiple phone calls, they said it did not exist! So after asking them to escalate and providing the batch number I got an email saying one had been sent out and would arrive in 11-13 days, that was over 40 days ago! I think I am still hosed! But finally ordered the Enterprise sheet, as I have been waiting to build it, as I wanted to start with the shuttle first! If they wanted to sell sets with all kinds of Star Trek ships, a Midi scale line would be amazing. I think ships from all movies, shows, timelines etc. could be on the table and do well enough without building massive expensive sets.
  7. Man, my Enterprise and promo arrived on Wednesday, decided to starting building the shuttlecraft last night, only to find out there was no sticker sheet inside!!! And no way to get another one after a long phone call with Lego today! I can't believe they actually suggested checking bricklink to purchase one! I literally only got the enterprise now for the promo, and now i have a completely naked shuttlecraft since there is so many stickers!
  8. Man I really hate the look from underneath, this thing will definitely need to be displayed low, or at an angle, or modded to hide that hideous underside. There is a pretty good episode with Ro when she leaves to join the Maquee and sneaks a shuttle through the shields of the enterprise between the nacelles. She does feel like she was in more episodes as many of them had an impact on Picard and the series. I'm really going to have to decide to cash in my points or not?!!! It's either going to be both or none!
  9. After seeing the leaked pics awhile back, (I hope the bottom saucer neck section is fake) it would look horrible displayed anyway but low. So you don't see underneath. It's going to take some amazing pictures after I had hoped to make this my one big set of the year! Long term, with so many Star Trek ships available, I think doing a smaller line in Midi Scale would be amazing!
  10. So i have only see one pic and leak for the enterprise, along with the more recent close up of Geordi. Is there any chance the pics out there are not real? And a better version of the Enterprise-D will make an appearance for black friday?
  11. I have really been waiting for this as my one big set this year, and if what I saw is legit. I am on the fence! The above view captures the shape perfectly, however underneath! I would have to put this on a shelf so low and try to forget what is under there. Not surprising with the shape, but for that price I expected more.
  12. I picked this up myself, with a nice discount, and then tweeked them with Pixel Dan's Mod and look pretty darn good!
  13. I'm still waiting on mine! Which I am used to from ordering online, but I have never had a order say Wherehouse for 6 days. Heck I received Avengers tower in less than a week! I feel like my order is going to get jacked along with the promo, even though I have called them and they say its just backlog.
  14. Whew! almost forgot about it! Was totally thinking the window next week, not the insider time! I logged in an hour and a half after I could of. Grabbed it and the promo in less than a minute without lag or issues! The only bad part, the waiting, just no way I could try at a store tomorrow.
  15. I would guess Eiffel Tower? but the new Avengers Tower is 36 inches, and as I look at it and imagine this wider base for this set, wow! That is a beast!
