  1. I always just assumed the others didn't make it. It's an expansion for the new R2-D2 of his tray with drinks from jabba's palace. I don't drink, but if I did I would ABSOLUTELY be quoting 1984 whenever I got hammered.
  2. WOOOOOOOOOOOO Imboutamakeanameformyselfhereyeah youjustletemknowwhathappenedheretodayyeah But seriously, very very happy to learn I'll be able to get Gambit at a reasonable price.
  3. I love that most false leakers are people making stuff up to get followers and Renown's only false leak is "I had too much Jawa Juice and thought it would be funny to troll you guys"
  4. If a lego Terrax bigfig comes out next year I'll eat the minifigure* and upload it to youtube. *I cannot chew an ABS plastic bigfig, but I am confident enough that we won't see a Terrax bigfig that I stand by this. At the very least, if it somehow does happen I will make a food item in the likeness of Terrax and/or do my best at eating the figure. I hope he shows up somehow, but I don't know. They have a habit of having figs, even ones with actual roles, not be in sets. I don't know that the literal main character has ever not had a physical figure before, but we'll see.
  5. In their defense he shows up for about 15 seconds as a hologram. IIRC he has like one line, which was either a polite version of "block you guys, when Thrawn gets back he'll take over" or something like "I, too, am speaking in this scene". Though he has been canon since the end of Rebels- we don't see him, but Thrawn attempts to contact him shortly before Ezra whales him. Immediate BL wanted list add. It's Moustache Rebel's father, Moustache Revolutionary
  6. I always saw him as Thrawn's Watson, and imagined him with the accompanying mustache. IIRC he has one in Mandalorian as well. THERE'S A GREY VERSION? Again- how dare you.
  7. This is the worst thing that's ever been said on this forum. How dare you. He even got an update in the 2016 resistance battle pack. Put some respect on his name.
  8. I dunno if I'd call three generations figures since the WFC era started "we can't stop getting them", but yeah they did remember she existed recently. (Still waiting on a G1/Skybound version though- the Legacy one isn't close enough to G1 for me). Though I've always liked her more than Arcee so I'm glad she got the bigger role in TFONE and the WFC trilogy. I mean, they let them make Skywarp female, but not thundercracker, allegedly because thundercracker has something called evergreen status. I haven't seen the show but from what I heard they just replaced thundercracker with a more obscure seeker to make female (Nova Storm I think- the whole situation is really funny to me because there ARE female seekers in the lore like Slipstream), so it's not like it would have impacted the male/female ratio of toys on shelves. All this is just making me want a lego seeker so I can recolor it 80 billion times. Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Sunstorm, Nova Storm, Acid Storm, Ion Storm, Redwing, Hotlink, Bit... something or other, the generic blue one, and then the slight mod for Slipstream and the mod for the coneheads- Dirge, Thrust, Ramjet, Cloudcover, G2 Ramjet, Sandstorm, etc. Honestly I wouldn't hate this. Obviously I'd much prefer transforming figures or at least 2-in-1s, but brickheadz are cheap, they're fun, I wouldn't mind having a shelf of the G1 cast in brickheadz form. Though I'd buy anything from lego transformers.
  9. My bad. It would be kinda funny, especially if they went all-in and made the stand look like one of the times Optimus's severed head has been featured. We just got a figure including his severed head, wires coming out and all, on a stand. Huh, that's interesting, thanks for letting me know. (I watch Slag, too, no idea how I missed this.) I wonder if that's changed- I know it came out recently that Hasbro stepped in when the earthspark guys wanted to make Thundercracker female because he's got evergreen status. I wonder if they're two separate tiers or if one morphed into the other.
  10. The Mando S2 juggarnaut might not make the best set- it's an unarmed vehicle, for one thing. We don't tend to get a ton of those in this theme at that scale. As popular as mando is, I don't see a scenario where most people would take the unarmed vehicle over the armed version, especially when the figure loadout would be clones/jedi/etc vs the drivers and some generic raiders or stormtroopers. Personally if the set had a new Cara, new Boba, and/or the comedian behind the greatest acting in the franchise, it'd be a day 1 buy, as irrational as that is, but I don't think most people would find it cooler than a clone wars one with a clone legion and some jedi we haven't had in awhile, especially kids. I don't know. That Peridea set felt like it was made to push out the figures from that part of the show. I'd love a dropship and getting a ton more sets from that part of the show, which might be the best atmosphere and mythos the franchise has put out in years, but the set we did get makes me think Lego doesn't plan on doing anything until season 2.
  11. a $60 set with three new minifigs and a bigfig isn't all that unheard of (we're getting one for CA4 that's cheaper) but I do think Thing will be a normal minifig just because he doesn't seem to be hulk-sized on set and lego tries to shy away from bigfigs whenever possible. hahahahahahahhahahaahhahaha
  12. Honestly the people using the hashtag for other stuff was annoying, but instagram making it so you can't just see the most recent posts makes it unusable. I'm sure there are some fans who would be very excited for a jedi who appears in a few seconds of the prequel movies but not one with a recurring role in the clone wars cartoon, but I think that's a pretty small subset. Most people who know the background jedi from the prequel movies have probably seen the cartoon. As a side thing, I don't think it should be "hard" when a character you don't personally know who's popular with fans gets released. (Or when pretty much any lego figure gets released TBH. Unless there's like a real-world controversy about the character/person shown or something I don't really think lego releasing a minifigure should reasonably be an upsetting situation.) At this point I'd say anyone who isn't one of the trilogies' big three or main villain is a character popular with some star wars fans others won't be interested in. I think if someone's upset because they release a new Rey figure, or they don't know the new clone commander, they should probably step back for a second and remember these are plastic toys and it's OK that one of the minifigures isn't a character you recognize/like. Yeah most of his stuff is in the latter half of the series. I'll take Enoch in the battle pack over no Enoch.
  13. Agreed. This is exactly how I feel about this set. D-man being the main character gives me a LITTLE hope he'll show up physically at some point- we'll see.
  14. He seemed fine with batgirl, though she doesn't have the ability to fly (like a bee) or have eye lasers (very overpowered) D-man is a deeply tragic character in the comics and making him the star of a lego avengers thing is a very interesting decision. I hope we get a minifigure.
  15. Plo was I think featured more than Kit in the show. He's involved in the Ahsoka Leaves arc, gets his focus in the Malevolence episode, and shows up a number of times in a smaller capacity, whether it's helping to defeat the slavers and save the slaves in the zygerria arc or discovering Sifo-Dyas's shuttle.
  16. Minifig hulk will always look weird to me. "Minifigures gently placed in the vicinity of the logo" That entire set borders on comical. What were they going for with the pylons instead of transparent parts? Why bother including Hulk if he was going to be a minifigure if you're going to leave out Hawkeye anyway? Which leaker looked at the hulk and went "yeah, that's Nick Fury if ever I saw him"? No, you saw the dumpster, from about when you entered the theatre to a little before you left it. My thoughts: The X-Mansion is fine. The build looks pretty solid. The figures are kind of lackluster- they wasted a print on cyclop's legs to make the figure look somehow worse than before, Gambit and Jean are going to be peternaturally pale, Bishop should have been Kitty or a villain, etc. I like the X-men, but for the price they're asking this had to be really good, and it's just fine. The airport battle is a definite skip for me- these diorama style sets have been real 50/50. Loved NWH and am eying that AoU set, but wasn't a fan of their endgame debris tower thing and this is looking like another skip. I get what they were going for with the Quinjet, like a forced perspective, but it looks weirdly chibi which clashes with the overall goal of the set as a display piece. The figure selection is also not the best- I'm glad we got as many as we did, but I think BP should have been war machine. The set as a whole also just feels kind of cramped, and the airport battle was very spaced-out, so despite my love of civil war this one's a skip. The marvel logo would have been an excellent $20-40 set of just the logo with, like Kevin Feige or Stan Lee or something. This set is much thicker than it needs to be, which is seemingly to fit in some sort of play feature to have the figures pop out of the logo, which is a really weird choice because no child is buying a marvel logo set to play with. I've also posted before about my dislike of the general lineup- now that Hulk and Widow are confirmed instead of the earlier Fury and Scarlet Witch rumor, it's a little better since they're going for founding avengers, but still. Being just the Marvel logo, and not Marvel Studios, I would have liked to have seen a lineup like: Spider Man, Mr. Fantastic, Wolverine, Daredevil, Captain America. Even for marvel studios, if you aren't going to commit and do the actual founding 6 avengers (Seriously. This set is almost entirely basic bricks. Would hawkeye have really busted up their budget that much?), why not do the big three alongside, like, black panther and spider man or something?
  17. The true founder of the eurobricks aslume. Man can you imagine his reaction to the news of an official lego superman set? please DM me whatever this originally said I have to know. And hell yeah, back in black(tron). (Blacktron is backtron?) (We are so Backtron?). I love that this thread has just turned into unrelated lego news scattered across the aslume.
  18. But I bet you also have either a lot of unused cones or a strangely large Cerean population in your lego collection. I don't mind named characters if they're generally generic-y, like Zev, but the jedi one I was not a fan of. If it had been, like, Bariss's head on Ki-Adi's robes, it would have worked better because it's a more populous alien species with generic robes, but as-is they put in a jedi from a species that's lore is it's on the brink of extinction and a jedi wearing unconventionally colored/textured robes Not that I am at all a fan of the baseplate youtubers, but gatekeeping the concept of army building is WILD. I think I get part of what you're trying to say- you try to do it in a lore accurate fashion, whereas most of the baseplate youtubers are just flexing- but some kid's collection of mixed-phase, mixed-legion clones is just as much army building as someone's hyper lore accurate 501st legion with ancillary staff.
  19. The river in egypt? Won't your lego boxes get all soggy? To "properly convey the scale", the set will include minifig (with short legs) Thing, microfig Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman (putting the F4 members out of scale with eachother) and Human Torch represented as a trans-orange 1x1 cone.
  20. I don't think it would be all that different than the helmet collection already is. Venom, Carnage, not to mention it's not like Spider Man's mask keeps it's shape like a helmet. More importantly, even if it is viewed as his severed head, one of the most famous comic issues of the original marvel run centers around Optimus Prime's severed head. (The one with the iconic "The transformers are all dead" cover featuring Shockwave) Still, I do think a Matrix would be the best 18+ buildable.
  21. To be honest the Hobbit films themselves look artificial. What if instead of Dark Flash he was called Dork Flash and instead of whatever he was in the movie he was the exact same thing? If this is the same thing as what we talked about a page or two ago, it doesn't neccesarily confirm Superman Legacy sets. It could just be that a marketing person at DC was shown the superman mech set. Genius work, gives me hope for the future of the DCEU. Maybe they'll have Kang come in through the multiverse ot It also BOGGLES MY MIND to see how much "but they should still play the character" support there was for Ezra and (to a lesser extent) Johnathan Majors. People try to get actors fired for much smaller things, but then turn around and say our favorite Geneva Convention Speedrunner should keep playing Flash. He's not even a good flash, it's not really remotely like Comic Barry. At least CW Flash was a likeable guy, even if the show, upon rewatch, was really never that good. This comment feels pretty negative overall so I'll add that regardless of whether or not it has specific tie ins or just the mech coming, if superman legacy is a good and popular movie, it really could help revive the theme. Though what we really need is a new Justice League cartoon.
  22. Correct- the target audience of this film seems to be the people who disliked Joker 2019 Actually, maybe moreso those who acted like Joker 2019 was some sort of threat to society. Man I hate it when someone looks CG Given everything else Ezra Miller has done, it is ABSOLUTELY possible "Dark Flash" did this too. Jonicle Mask of Humor was the best one, but I always had a soft spot for the Ledger Returns. Loved it when he turned Robin into a literal Robin.
  23. People found them packed in other sets, just like the RA7 head in the fortnite set! When he found out she was cheating on him with a homocidal octogenarian, his second mutant ability, literally just rogue's, activated and he took Carol's powers from her. What is this chicanery?
  24. I get it, most clones are pretty expensive. Honestly I might pick some up myself, even I didn't realize how good it was when I searched to make sure the prices were still low-ish. My guess is threethings: 1: minifigs are expensive to produce. I'd guess battlepacks, even with their sometimes tiny builds, have a lower profit margin (read in wat tambor voice) than, say the 18+ buildables. 2: with star wars specifically, they might not want to do too many depending on that grey area legal contract stuff everybody always speculates about. If it is as much of a grey area as is sometimes rumored, lego might not want to trigger a closer look into the legalese by pumping legions of battlepacks out. 3: Most importantly, I think, self-competing. If there are 4 rebel battlepacks on shelves at the same time, they're going to start eating into eachother's sales. (I do think we saw this with the clone packs- both 2023 packs are starting to shelfwarm where I am and have hit some pretty nice discounts.)
  25. If superman fails I legitimately think it's possible the brand gets folded into Icons. The only thing that could keep it out is if those 4+ sets are doing well. Black Lantern Clone is the best PFP yet by the way. To be fair, I don't think Frodo much cares for him either. Watch his face at the end when Legolas shows up, it looks like he doesn't remember his name. Man, I didn't get the Ezra Miller joke at first and had a brief hope we were getting a comic batcave including the scene from the button. Morb-heretic detected on terran soil, lethal force engaged.
