Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
A tree?!?!? They're spoiling us. Though actually I think it's the other end of the spectrum- for the first wave at least I expect most of the sets will be nonsense vehicles that weren't in the movie. Marvel seems unable to properly use Mary Jane- Kirsten's is an absolutely insane human being when you think about it, "Michelle Jones" shares literally nothing in common with the real Mary Jane besides her initials and spider-man liking her, she wasn't in the TASM movies, most modern comics won't let them get together and portray her as unnecessarily angry at Peter over stuff. (Not the Ultimate series, which currently is the only reality in which spider-man's life doesn't have to absolutely suck.) The way I see it, No Way Home works because beyond the fan service it's an excellent character arc for Tom and recontextualizes the MCU spider-man up to that point as the origin story for this Spider-Man. Seeing the other spiders interact with him is a nice bonus, but Tom's story is what makes it actually good. I liked Deadpool and Wolverine, I don't think the story was anything particularly special but it's still overall a good movie (maybe with the exception of the allegations that Nicepool is supposed to be a specific real-life guy his wife was trying to ruin, which kind of sours me on Ryan Reynold's deadpool as a whole.). Endgame is the cameofest that I actually think is the worst of the three on it's own- it still isn't bad, but without being the culmination of the MCU I don't think it gets past the box office of the other two, much less grabbing $3 billion. And that's the issue with Doomsday- and now that I think about it, it's where the diminishing returns should kick in. We've seen the vast majority of these cameos return already- while most of these specific X-men are new to the MCU, they've been slow burning the X-men throughout with Patrick Stewart in MoM or all the X-men stuff in DP&W. I think it's been well proven at this point that the GA and a big chunk of fans don't care about the Replacement Avengers, so it's kind of on Thunderbolts and F4 doing well for Doomsday to succeed. -

I've been very skeptical of doomsday but I can't deny how cool it'll be to see those three hero groups interact, even if one of them is a shell of what once was. Ideally the ones we haven't had figures of yet get figures- even if Doomsday is trash I'll still be hyped for a figure of John Walker, or the ones who were announced via chairs we didn't previously know were coming. -

I am incredibly biased, as I myself made one a few years ago- one that I believe is untested-, but I can send you the file for mine for free if you'd like: (The logo would be achieved by putting a custom sticker or print on tile(s). At the time I used 2 2x4s as 4x4s weren't common, but nowadays they're common enough that it would work better.) I would be shocked if soundwave released later than September. IIRC Optimus and Bumblebee were both summer releases, I see no reason for them to buck the trend. -

Yeah but like what's the value of an AT-RT with a nail gun? How big are these nails? You and me both, man. It being the only set for the year I actually want, I know my "one day 1, 1-2 more later in the year" is going to turn into me sitting here a year from now with like 8 packs and no idea how I got them. Preach. Two years ago I'd have been over the moon for a 327th pack, I'm not buying this for more than $20 and even then just one, no army building. I do need to know if you agree with the Stomped Funko Spider Droid as it was not mentioned here. I mean: 1-25: The figures in the 2016 death star. My assumption is we throw in all the imperial officers, maybe Palpatine's advisors, and the remaining 7ish are either more stormtroopers/officers/navy troopers or just repeated figures so multiple scenes can be represented at once. Yeah I think it'll be both, though I wonder if they cut some of the rooms we didn't see in the movies and use the increased size to make it the DS2 from the exterior and only have the top half display scenes. Could also help with the structure. -

The general concept of a transforming trailer for optimus is certainly possible but this specific model, absolutely not. The Commander Class figures like this have a level of complexity that lego can't hope to match without quadrupling the size of the character. -

Yeah this isn't even just a legion colors thing, this has more yellow than any other set has had legion color on it. It's an absurd move, especially since to my knowledge there's no canonical basis for the CAT At-Rt I also like the little bacta tank but like you say, an easter egg comprising of three common parts doesn't save a set with awful builds that's $10 overpriced On the topic of the mechs being overpriced, why are they so much worse value than the marvel ones? With the mechs you're already gunning for younger kids since they're not canon, but you're gunning for younger kids who are going to pick the more expensive single figure SW mechs over the cheaper superhero mechs with two figures (not that they'd care about the price as much, but the extra figure would have been the main thing I cared about as a kid with a set this small) so why are we doing this? Yeah that's fair. I'm just glad he's back, but a ROTS one would have been cooler IMO. Not that I'll get it unless it hits discount anyway, I refuse to pay $15 for a microfighter. Unless I missed something everyone was alive until Morgan's spell hits. It was introduced as if it was a new concept for the troopers. If you're talking about Death Troopers in general, they're canonically living humans, just surgically augmented. Apparently there's something about their vibe even when out of uniform that gives most people the chills, but they can visually pass as normal humans. Of course it's a moot point, as I agree it'll all be the same zombie head. It's a battle pack build what did you expect? One of my friends called it a construction AT-RT and I sat there trying to figure out how the AT-RT would be useful in construction. The new head is really nice for Plo, but I agree for $15 we needed the full astromech body included. It's just too much. $13 was pushing it. Yeah. I'll argue that polybag value is an overreaction, microfighter builds are generally a fair more parts and plastic than polybag ones, even those without figures, but $15 is just absurd. I assume it was to splash some red on it so it's not immediately apparent how similar it is to the Vader mech. Nobody here is gonna care about the mechs, I mantain they're a stupid concept, but clearly they've done well enough so so long as we're down to one a year I'll shut my trap. Ok, c'mon, that's not at all unique to this battle pack, all battle packs have small builds. At least this one seats 5, has the windscreen... honestly sizing it out it seems larger and more complete than most BP builds. I mean you've hit the nail on the head with the reason people dislike the walker being yellow. It's just too yellow. It's CAT construction vehicle yellow. It's not at all consistent with either previous lego walkers or the amount of paint we generally see legion markings have on GAR vehicles. It'd be like if they did a "blue squadron X-wing" and it was 90% blue. The Funko Pop That Somebody Stepped on Spider Droid seems more debated but I maintain that's exactly what it is. I like the terrain, I always like seeing those little terrain builds, but the smallest sidebuild being competent doesn't excuse the two main ones being trash IMO, neither does the fact that this set is a full $10 overpriced. This is going to be on shelves at the same time as the 2024 battle pack, which has more builds and more figures for $10 less. The fact that the Construction AT-RT is a bit bigger than any of the builds in the 2024 pack isn't going to be a valid excuse to any of us here, nor are kids going to choose the one with fewer builds and figures that's more expensive. She was just choking on cereal and Vader saw so he helpfully stepped in to use the force to dislodge the cereal. It's all ok. Happier about that part count than the figure count, especially considering since it'll assumably be paneled off there'll be a large number of large pieces. This set might actually be decent value at $1000, somehow. The figure count still baffles me- either we're getting a TON of generics, or repeated characters in the same costume, but I won't complain about a larger number of figures. Not that I'm buying it anyway. -

Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Fair. 100% agree. The figures probably won't be 212th troopers but aside from maybe some prints popping up, I don't think we usually see the builds change in the prelims. I don't agree at all. The head is too big, the dome piece they use is too flat, it just doesn't work for me at all. The older version at least keeps the proportions and spherical shape better, the new one looks like, well, a Funko POP somebody stomped on. Yeah, I saw it for 50% off on Friday. I currently live in a more rural area, but the only other star wars sets here I've seen hit 50% off or more are the YJA sets, so at more suburban/urban walmarts I'd expect it'll still be around 30% off at least. Yeah, the Funko DSD seems like lego decided to solve the protruding eyes at the expense of literally everything else about the droid, and the AT-RT is awful. Friend of mine thought it was a construction AT-RT when he saw the pictures (not sure how an AT-RT would be useful in construction but the colors definitely imply that). 100% understand the "spite clone BPs nearby", although for me it's moreso that with all the other sets being clone based, a "I'll just get one or two" will inevitably have me waking up in March 2026 with like 7 copies just from a lack of competition. Aw, man, I forgot it was $15 now. I could stomach $13, but at $15 we're waiting for discount. Plo isn't Rex-level desirable and his microfighter got to around 30% off near me so I'm confident I'll manage to pick one up for $10 or less before it retires, and while Plo does look great I'm in no rush. -
Unfortunately my collection's split at the moment and I didn't bring them with me, so no pictures at the moment. Pages upon pages of lore, though. I think I have something close to 30-40 powered characters for the first two phases, and then the whole third phase is more sci-fi focused based on the Great Filter theory and the sci-fi trope that it's somewhat more physical than the theory is really meant to be. (The whole reason powered individuals exist would be due to technology from a crashed ship that attempted to escape the Filter.) Very cool lore bits for both your heroes and star wars characters*. I really like Mudhorn Company, they remind me of maybe a less cynical version of Twilight Company if you've ever read that book. (Best canon star wars book IMO, it's essentially the literary equivalent to Rogue One. And just like Rogue One, man is it dour from start to finish.) *except for that last character's parentage. I don't even want to know what you were thinking with that.

Oh dear god. I... I never thought I'd say this... I feel bad for the clone bros in the Earth year of our lord 2025 A.D., the Year of the Clone, the Clone Dominated year, Clones' year, the year specifically assigned to clones. What the hell is going on with that set? The bright yellow AT-RT, the funko POP spider droid... man, this is, this is something. I will give them props for including a bit of terrain, and for 1 or 2 of the AT-RT design alterations being improvements, like the smaller feet. That's it. This set looks disgustingly overpriced (this is the $30 battle pack with two fewer droids for an additional $10), the funko POP spider droid is a massive downgrade from the one they've been doing for years now, the AT-RT has an atrocious color scheme, etc. If the figures end up all getting pauldrons and good printing and visors and all the bells and whistles, this is a set that'll have the Clone Bro day 1 spike and then be shelfwarming by the holiday season. If they skimp out on the clone's pauldrons, I think this doesn't even end up selling out like most clone battle packs have been day 1. It's certainly the difference between "pick it up on at least 30% discount" and "don't buy a single copy ever" for me... Other sets are all good- Maul Mech is fine. I don't like the mechs but they're clearly sticking around and this one is competently achieved, I'm sure little kids will be happy. Shirtless is a baffling choice for a mech but the splash of red gives it some color. The Night Trooper Battle Pack is almost everything I wanted. We were never going to get an accurate gunship out of a battle pack, and I love this little beetle gunship. Absolutely showing up the larger and more part intensive 2024 remake of the 2008/2019 battle pack dropship by holding more troopers, and it comes off as a functional microfighter gunship. I love it. (Plus a nice black windscreen for MOCs, though I'm definitely leaving at least two of these built and hovering around one of my larger imperial ships on clear stands like little bugs. I think I'll end up getting two or three instead of one, though I'll probably wait for discount on the second. That said, the death troopers don't have a new damaged helmet mold. Not a dealbreaker, but we better see them again soon as regular DTs, and not just in a $1000 set. Plo Microfighter is a standout- I'd been working on a microfighter Azure Angel for one of my projects-that-will-never-come-out-because-I'm-too-busy-procrastinating, and while this, like most microfighters I get, is destined for the parts bin, it's well-made for what it is and it heartens me to know my attempts were on the right track seeing Lego's model. But the Plo minifig is the real draw hear. Glad to see some solid leg printing and an EXCELLENT head mold. I would have preferred tan to dark orange, but it's still a great figure, and one I'll likely pick up down the line. Correct, but why would the night trooper battle pack have normal death troopers? We've only ever seen night troopers alongside the kintsugi death troopers. The good news is spending the budget on a new mold without making the damaged jaw version implies they have plans for the mold, so new DTs may be coming next year (and ideally not just in the $1000 death star later this year) It really does just shoot out a shotgun blast of imperial vehicles and troopers. Would love to see range troopers again, and lego has bricklink. They know those guys would do well. I really am surprised we didn't get a partisan X-wing vs TIE avenger (or TIE avenger vs other imperial starfighter if Andor's piloting) two-pack, since lego loves the starfighter two-packs, the Avenger has been marketed a lot more than the U-wing, etc. Oh, also, on the topic of the new poster I want to know if @THELEGOBATMAN now wants a new set with formalwear dedra and syril. -

In my view it should've been just a Kamino gantry or something with Obi-Wan, Taun We, and a clone captain/lieutenant/sargeant. -still only 2 new prints -helps anyone buying Slave 1 get two major characters from that scene without buying an additional set -Even gives the clone bros another set in the "inescapable march of the GAR" column with one that at least actually is more notable and wearing armor. As is we're getting a set that while connected to the concept of slave one, repeats a character, and includes two super obscure unarmored clone children. -

Yeah it's weird, why not use the new print budget for a new armored clone that fans would go nuts for? Even if you only have 1-2 new prints, there are plenty of clones that could share leg and even torso printing with existing ones but would still be draws to hardcore fans. Most of the 501st named troopers, for example. That said, the clone mania is intoxicating enough that people are somehow popping off over unarmored children, so, you know, why do something like the above when you could encapsulate the year so well? Very nice poster.... wait, is that a RANGE TROOPER HOLDING AN E-WEB BARREL AS A FIREARM? Obviously the perspective might be playing tricks on me but even towards the back it looks like the barrel is thicker than his arm. Range Troopers are very nice, wish their triumphant return correlated to a lego one- they're so expensive on bricklink. Glad to see a new imperial shuttle class, always like ships that have a clear relation to other ships. I can understand why we didn't get this one though, the U-wing and Avenger are more important, and we didn't even get both of those. It boggles my mind we haven't had one yet. It's been in Rebels, Mando, Andor, it's a classic Kenner toy... how did we get the UT-AT before this? I mean if we're talking Kenner how did we get the Sandspeeder before this? I think it is a bit too optimistic- aside from, like you say, andor not being a series particularly conducive to big spoiler character/sets, it's just not a show for kids. There being potential for open slots means nothing in regards to andor sets- this year is 90% open slots and they filled it with clones and 18+ buildables. While we already knew about the UCS slave one, that last set turned out to be the Slave One, too. (Not the Slave Two, that's a different thing) -

I mean it's pretty clear that lego has been conned into thinking there's not a market for OT playsets. This would have been a perfect year to throw some generic imperial vehicles like the Gozanti or ITT out there to coast on the Andor hype a bit without explicitly tying them in and therefore leaving it a bit more open. But yeah, no, take your GWP of unarmored clone children, because that IS the year. That's not really applicable here. For one thing, we didn't get any spoiler sets for TBOBF, Andor S1 (Or sets at all for acolyte), and I don't think we'll be seeing spoiler sets for skeleton crew. If lego doesn't think a show based set would do well with kids, they won't bother making one. With andor especially I don't think it's the type of show that's going to have spoiler set material. But just as importantly, everything CC mentioned was in the trailer. They wouldn't be spoiler sets any more than the U-wing. It's 50% off at my walmart so I wouldn't dismiss any potential sales. I wish I'd seen that Ghost discount :/. If we're pulling a Twitter, now you'd be Community Noting him, so you don't even have to use the phrase "fact check"! But yes, your point is correct, exclusive prints never really left. We had one year that skipped one and it wasn't even last year. You bring up a good point there as well. Aside from the fact that many of the clone sets aren't technically ROTS based (which is splitting hairs but bears mentioning), this is an ROTS anniversary year without... literally any major ROTS character. No ROTS Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme, Grievous, Dooku, Yoda, or Palpatine. At best you have the clone wars version of Anakin being more or less the same, but he's in the least "squint and it's basically ROTS" of the sets. It's all just vessels to include more clone trooper figures. Yeah the brand is essentially becoming a more successful version of lego DC's "there are no DC characters beyond Batman, the Joker, and maybe Harley Quinn" theme. Except instead of ensuring we get a Batman and Joker figure based on every conceivable media source instead of any other characters, we get every conceivable variant of Jango Fett 's DNA. -
Yeah I think they do, I wouldn't mind hearing them. I've done a similar thing- I had an idea for a superhero universe that starts out very grounded until the first big crossover event climaxes in an explosion that gives a random portion of the population (anyone close to one of the myriad of devices that went off) their powers, called the Awakening. Here's the ones I've made figures of: Samaritan/Patriot/Vigilante (still haven't decided on a name despite him being the first one I designed. I used to learn more towards the first one, but there was a Stallone show I heard about later with the same name, so now that they all refer to characters from other franchises I'm leaning more towards the latter two.): Mark Conners (late 20s, irish/polish american, red hair, average sized) is just a normal human, when one day an investigative reporter he's friends with is roughed up working on a story. He tries to help and gets the crap kicked out of him, which drives him to become a vigilante. His story has a very big focus on how a normal person would go about being a vigilante and the sorts of situations he'd find himself in. How does he hide his identity? How does he actually go about accomplishing anything meaningful? etc. He also, having no powers or special tech (he primarily uses truncheons, a taser, and a pistol when neccesary) can't exactly wade into a room of henchmen. If he comes up against more than 1 guy it's gonna be a tough fight, and anything more than 3 people he's focused more on just getting out of there than singlehandedly taking down a group of guards or something. He's got a black tactical outfit with red accents and bronze-lensed glasses. As the story goes on and after the Awakening, red gradually becomes a secondary color with blue accents added. He doesn't immediately gain powers, though it's eventually revealed it gave him low-level regenerative abelites that are enhanced when another specific powered individual is nearby. Vanguard: Kary Levy (early 30s, black hair, built like a UFC fighter) was a soldier in a contested area before being captured and experimented on by a foreign power. Managing to escape when the facility was damaged by an unrelated strike, Kara realizes she's no longer a normal human and goes on the run, presumed dead, hunted by a group of mercenaries led by someone who received the same treatments she did. Kara's experiments make her somewhat superhuman, but only to the extent of the standard "normal human" action hero in movies. While on the run she wears a sand blue shirt under her old combat vest and pants, and after the Awakening, when her enhancements are amped to super-soldier levels, she gradually moves to a white and blue suit. Specter: James Abetescianni (mid 50s italian, greyed hair, tall and thin) is a mercenary when, for the first time, he freezes upon running into and nearly instinctively attacking a child while intercepting a package at an airport. Having a crisis of faith, James escapes his fellows mercenaries with the package- a prototype stealth suit allowing near-invisibility in dark or shadowed areas- and begins to work to undo the negative effects of his life. Taking down former associates, trying to make things as right as possible for the families of former victims, and being hunted by both the organization that hired him to steal the suit and the one that created it, Specter tries to balance the score on his life. His suit is black and metallic grey, and after the awakening, when his invisibility becomes something he himself can generate and apply to his clothing and equipment, his suit gains forest green accents. Flight: Luke Flores (Venezuelan American, late teens, average sized) is a child prodigy. His latest in a series of remarkable advancements in technology is, essentially, a jetpack, allowing him (at first only short bursts without refueling) of powered flight. Using it in conjunction with some of his other inventions, such as a somewhat literal electric rifle for non-lethal takedowns, he's excited to become essentially a superhero but must maintain his optimism when he realizes the darkness and corruption in his city. He wears civilian clothes under an orange jacket and flight helmet with a blue visor and does not gain powers, though his technology becomes increasingly unrealistically advanced over time. I have a TON of lore and characters for this but these are the only ones I have minifigures of.
-
Not to get too philosophical but I don't think there's ever been a single functioning civilization without some form of leadership, nor that something like that would be possible in reality. Obviously for your "if you're asking why they can breathe without visible visors you're not on their wavelength" style lore it isn't necessary to work in stuff like that, but like I said, I like a deeper lore. As for a gold leader, it might go against your headcanon's themes but as, again, it's all headcanon, it fits perfectly within mine. I like my culture and I like my headcanon that makes Classic Space an evolution of that culture, and similarly, with gold holding the value it does in our culture, that if roles are signified by color, gold would signify leadership. (I used the word culture too many times and now it doesn't sound like a word.) But again, your interpretation seems to be more fantastical/whimsical than mine, so it makes sense you wouldn't want to imply ties to real-world cultures. For further lore on the roles/colors I want for classic space: Besh level: Teal: Instructor: Teals are tasked with helping Cadets find their desired class and teaching them the skills and knowledge required for that class. Due to this, they are primarily found on capital ships, colonies, and larger bases. Kresh level: Gold: Architect: Chosen from the pool of Navies, which they return to after their period in gold, Architects, or Goldies as they are informally known, are the leaders of classic space, tasked with upholding the adherence to Classic Space's founding documentation and ideals. The rarest of the classic space colors, only seven Goldies exist at a time. Dorn level: Some Aurek-levels specialize their roles over time to the point that they move from the standard galaxy-class expeditions or base crews to Dorn Level, a specialized version of their previous role. Their specializations often lead them into contact with or working alongside other organizations within the minifig civilization. Aqua: Test pilot: For pilots who exhibit an exceptionally high adrenaline seeking level or risk tolerance, if they still prefer classic space to more risk-involved organizations like the Space Police, the Aquas are always looking for new test pilots. Aquas fly new ship models, with a stark focus on faster-than-light technology, which does run the risk of propelling them into unknown corners of space. The spaceman known as Benny was formerly an Aqua, though with how long he'd been out in the far reaches of space with just the one uniform, it darkened over time and ended up looking more similar to a Security uniform. Light Blue: Liason: For Blues who get tired of galaxy-class explorations and want a mellower pace, the Light Blues are a class serving as liaisons to other intracivilization spacefaring organizations such as the Space Police or M-Tron miners. For this reason, Light Blues can frequently be seen at space police headquarters or on M-tron capital ships. Brick Yellow: Finder: Restless Yellows who get tired of simply sharing communications and want to make their own can join the Finder Class, where Brick Yellows (or Bricyees) search for interesting stories. They can often be seen hitching rides on Galaxy Explorers or even sticking around the far reaches of the galaxy like Ice Planet. One of the biggest goals of the largest Finder's Guild is to locate the fabled planet Seatron. Dark Red: Designer: Some Reds want to work more on design of Classic Space - wide ships and vehicles rather than repair and upkeep on expeditions, joining the Maroon Class of designers. Maroons primarily work on Classic Space ships but have also taken contracts for other groups, typically M-tron. Pearl Dark Grey: Geneticist: Some Black Spacemen become particularly fascinated by alien cultures on their travels and become Pearlies, geneticists specializing in alien cultures, unraveling the mysteries of how different civilizations evolved over time. That one makes a lot of sense as well. I'd be interested in seeing a hypothetical neo-classic spaceman who has a dual-molded helmet resembling the CS helmet but with a molded-in visor.

It was only a two-year stretch without them, with Aunt Beru in 2022, so it wasn't super concerning. Especially since whilst the 2024 GWP didn't have exclusive figures it was still a pretty good GWP overall with a metric ton of droid figures. -

I assume it'll be at most one new headprint for both other clones alongside a new torso used for all three. Upon reflection this was the only true option remaining for the GWP. Of course it would be a small set with three clones, one of them a character appearing twice at that age in other sets and the other two being generic/obscure ones literally nobody was asking for. See, this was a set where had it been like Thorn/Doom/Fordo or something I would really have enjoyed it, because as a GWP it's not meant to be for the general buyer but the hardcore fans, so something like that would have been perfect (if obviously too many new prints to be realistic). But that would have been too desirable. Even a pack of three P2 shinies would have been a nice battle pack supplement like last year's droid carrier. A pod with unarmored kid clones was the ultimate evolution of this year, the only way it could ever go. I highly doubt it. Aside from the fact that I feel the leakers would have mentioned it, this is a GWP. Aurra would require a new mold, not to mention at least two more new prints, and I can't see that budget going to a GWP. Updated my profile picture for a bit coming off a joke I made to a friend of mine, I think it summarizes my thoughts on the current state of the theme well, so I won't bring it up as much unless/until we get new info. -
Entirely possible. Blue one fits my security headcanon to as he has the "bazooka" (obviously it's a technically a video camera, but you know. While classic space's security officers aren't a military branch and as such aren't carrying that type of thing for combat, I do think they'd be in charge of operating explosives for the purposes of clearing debris or mining) I agree with that first sentence. I like to go a bit deeper with my lore- for me they ARE wearing visors, it's just more of an invisible field in front of the helmet, and as for leadership any organization needs some form of leadership. But again, nothing off with your statement- with classic space nobody's wrong.

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Exactly. At the end of the day a theme like lego space simply cannot flourish as a children's playset theme since lego will not make a theme like classic space again. Every theme has to have a defined story now. I can't speak about Star Trek as I haven't seen anything but chunks of TOS, TNG, and the Chris Pine movies, but I assume it was similar to Star Wars's Rogue One? Going back to the classic aesthetics and themes? -
Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
He literally is Luke Cage. If you're saying he doesn't count because you're talking about a different version, unless you mean the classic tiara version, any official lego one would be more or less the same as figbashing a generic civilian. I think a new one would be nice given how long it's been, but on the priority list of characters we need, Luke Cage is so easy to make purist versions of that'd look 1:1 with an official lego one that he's pretty far down the list. -
I'm not a huge fan of them being the same as another franchise, but I think your list works pretty well overall (and is your list- you aren't "wrong" jut because I'd prefer it another way.) This is my list of color meanings now: Aurek Level: - At least one of each Aurek-level color should be on an outpost or Explorer-level craft at any given time. Aureks, also known as Primaries, all feature some skills in every Aurek-level class. White: Pilot. Standard spacecraft pilot. While all Aureks have base level skills with the other classes within their level, Whites are the most generalist of any class, with a specialization in piloting. common color, classic astronaut color in the real world. Red: Engineering. Standard Mechanical/astronautical engineers. Reds are tasked with maintaining, repairing, and developing ground and space vehicles as well as outpost machinery. Another common color for another common occupation- plus the reds are my favorite. Blue: Security. While Classic Space is not a military organization, Blues provide security for CS assets against hostile organizations such as Blacktron, as well as protecting the other spacemen in the event of encountering hostile aliens or outlaws. Blues put their lives on the line more than any other class, and correspondingly are frequently in need of suit repairs. Again, common color- common occupation needed. Benny helmets and scratched torsos fit right in with the occupation resulting in the most damage to their suits. Yellow: Communications. In faraway regions of space or newly discovered planets, a myriad of atmospheric and solar conditions make communications specialists a must for creating and maintaining contact channels with CS command and the galaxy as a whole. Yellows might have the least flashy job of the Aurek-levels, but it's a crucial one. Another common color and important role. I also always picture the yellow guys holding the radios for some reason. Black: Scientist/analyst. The black spacemen are tasked with a wide variety of analysis jobs. Between dissecting alien fauna, analzying alien flora and natural resources for usage, or even learning about the anatomy of sentient alien life, the black spacemen are simultaneously xenobiologists, xenobotonists, and xenochemists. The most specialized of the Aurek-level roles, black spacemen are the least numerous of their level but have an important skillset. The last of the 5 classic colors, with the last Aurek-level role. Besh level: Besh-level spacemen are more commonly found on larger outposts or transport to capital level ships. They have more specialized roles at the expense of a lack of the basic Aurek skillset. Orange: Logistician/requisitions. The orange suits are worn by logisticians, who deal with cargo manifests, passenger organization, and at higher ranks, the dispersal of ships and expeditions. Due to their role taking them into the field or smaller ships/outposts less frequently, Logisticians aboard capital ships or larger bases can frequently be seen without their air tanks. Orange torsos are more common then when I last assigned roles to the colors, so I've reassigned them from their original admiral ranking. Green: Roboticist. More commonly referred to as mech jockeys, the green spacemen are the pilots and engineers specialized in jaeger-class and cyber-class mechanized operations. Purely due to their appearance alongside the Exo-suit set Pink: Medical, or Pilot who accidentally put his suit in the wash with an Engineer. The former is an extremely important role, and while their medicinal specification places them in Besh-level, Pinks are in high demand on most expeditions and on most outposts. While all Aurek-level spacemen have rudimentary medical training, the breadth of knowledge and skill Pinks provide makes them an encouraging sight on any vehicle or at any outpost. The latter is an unfortunately common occurrence. These pilots are more commonly seen on ground vehicles due to washer mishaps being more common on planetside outposts, where newly-set up machinery can often be faulty, and engineers have more pressing matters to attend to. I've long flip flopped between the two roles and figured it might as well be both, since the latter is obviously an official designation. Purple: Diplomat. In the event of a first contact with a new alien species or civilization, Purples are dispatched to open a line of communication and determine the relationship classic space will have with the alien group, whether it's joining humanity's Coalition, forming an alliance with them, or simply steering clear of that civilization's controlled territory. Due to the diplomacy traditions of some cultures, aliens can occasionally be seen wearing Classic Space purples. Another necessary role, it fits with the CMF figure, and lego's official "dreamer" designation is both ironically uninspired and goes against my preferred concept that everyone gets to headcanon the roles. Zeta-Level: Zeta-Level spacemen lack a specific role and have only base civilian access to equipment and locations, but have no less bravery and often form the settlers of new planets, pioneering humanity's expansion into the stars. Gray: Cadet: With multiple shades of grey representing multiple class options, Cadets are commonly seen on training bases and capital ships. IV and III rank cadets wear dark gray helmets as they have not yet chosen an occupation. Once a cadet completes their rank III testing and chooses an occupation, they are allowed to don a helmet of the color representing the class they aspire to reach as they move to rank II and I cadets. This would give a lore reason for the LBG spacemen's helmets not fitting with their torsos, and being CMF figs they're easy to mass. Brown: Pioneer: Containing a mundane, muted color scheme, the Brown spacemen are the men and women who, without formal training or employment in the Classic Space organization, nonetheless move to settle outposts on newly discovered planets and set out into the stars. Civilians taking passage on Classic Space transport ships between developed worlds may also be required to don Brown uniforms if any risk of life-support loss is reported on their craft. Another easy to mass CMF fig, and the baby spacemen ends up just representing that spaceman's kid. Kresh-Level: The ranking officers of Classic Space Dark Blue: Commander: Commanders lead Classic Space organization outposts and ships. Navies, as they're commonly referred to, wear the helmet of their original role before they advanced to a higher rank. Going full circle with the lack of a matching helmet, as it now refers to both the lowest and highest ranking members of classic space. I'd like to get some more colors on the board: Another secondary color like a light blue or something would help round out the Besh rank, and a Gold spaceman or something would be a nice choice for the missing rank of the actual leader of the full organization. As for the full lore present, essentially my idea of Classic Space is an organization loosely part of an earth government that also includes private companies and contracted civilians. Essentially, any group of civilians can apply to settle a classic space outpost to colonize the planet. The engineers responsible for the design of many vehicles and machines often work in firms that get first dibs on the resources they discover, and other roles have similar firms, guilds, etc, though base galaxy-class expeditions contain only firmless spacemen who work directly for the Classic Space organization, as is the same with Purples, who work directly for the governing body.

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

Thanks, not on this thread a ton so I wasn't aware. Everything you just listed is true of Castle, Bionicle, and other in house themes. Bionicle actually HAD the lore heaviness in it's first gen, and we saw how well lego handled the revival. The reason lego isn't doing a classic space story theme for kids seems pretty clear to me, they just don't think it would do well. Everything you listed works more in favor of the Icons sets we've been getting targeted towards adults than it does a resurrection for kids. I'm a Bionicle fan. I've seen what happens when Lego attempts a revival without what made the original work. (In classic space's case, I think the lack of established lore is part of what makes it special) You guys are getting more coverage than something like bionicle, so I'd caution you to be happy with what you've got. I'll take my Galaxy Explorers over a "modernized remake" any day of the week. Removing the classic smileys, creating established characters and storylines, it would take away from what classic space is in my opinion. We started to see it towards the end of the original themes. I just like my little smiley astronauts where I get to decide the lore. -
Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

Unfortunately, it's a different chest symbol, different colors, an inverted mask color-wise, etc. Yeah I mean I wouldn't trust brick fanatics but given how heavily this CMF leans on the spider verse movies, to the extent of choosing some pretty obscure variants rather than ones who have any recognition outside the movie, I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to wait for BTSV. Hopefully that movie releases.... ever... Miles's VA certainly isn't helping. -

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAAHHAHHAHHAHAHAHHAHA Oh my god. This is the perfect GWP for this year. Two clones literally no one on the planet asked for alongside young boba, who will have three figures in 4 months. It is literally the perfect description of the year as a whole. I don't even think I can be mad this shows us exactly what lego thinks the theme is. I cannot stop laughing. My neighbors probably think I'm watching Joker. On the bright side, at least Jango actually will get to be in the system slave one. That's... somehow a win nowadays. Doubt it- the GWPs don't always correlate to other sets, but when they do it's usually to correlate to the UCS set. This is just here because it's a way to shove clone troopers into a slave one related GWP. -

Interesting. This could mean a few things: Cadets in a set, presumably the system Slave 1 The system Slave 1 is clone wars based (is there no end) from when Aurra owns it. I'm torn. I'd rather have a new Aurra or Hondo than clone cadet figures, but if it's TCW based, no Jango. Either way, this implies that the system slave 1 will definitely be either a clone wars set or set that involves non-jango/boba clones, which... lego I'm begging you, please.... Actually, if we squint and cope hard enough, it means anyone who didn't want full clone domination is lucky, the leak was wrong, and that last system set isn't another Jango Slave 1 but actually an OT set. (There's no way whatsoever this is what he meant.) They fact that he specifically chose a quote from one of the other cadets and not Aurra or something makes me think we'll be seeing clone cadets... this really is the Year of the Clone. Even the ones without the cool armor get figs... ....there's only one possible reason this is happening to this extent.... the kaminoans have taken control of Denmark. -

I know I went back and checked when the U-wing leaked and thought I wrote a post on it but I can't find it. I'm not with my U-wing right now but looking at the instructions, there's a 7x6 opening with the middle stud-width of one end occupied by a liftarm, and significantly more space occupied by the stud shooters on the pintles. If I remember right, and looking at the instructions seems to back this up, even removing the seats and pintle-mounted guns, the original U-wing could hold 5-6 people in the cargo bay max, and that includes removing all their weapons and contorting the last two in some pretty uncomfortable ways to fit in the middle. I'm pretty confident figures couldn't stand in the 2016 one, but I can't disprove it, though either way I don't think it increases the amount of figs who can fit inside- the issue isn't that there's not enough floor space for the legs, it's the torsos and heads.
