LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

No problem! That's fair- never a bad idea to wait and see. Unjustifiable Justifier is a pretty good label for it. Very strange set idea. Oh yeah. Me and @CloneCommando99 are both pretty big Mara fans. There are a few figs out there I'd like a good deal but don't own due to the price (Cal's a favorite of mine, and Zeb would be nice to complete the rebels crew), but Mara's the main one that has never been officially made. I'd also like a mandalorian in bright red- the only red mandalorians we've had so far are the black and dark red evil Mauldalorians, and I'd like a normal/good mando in normal lego red. It's not really a specific character, but I love the mandalorian culture/archtype and I like the color red, so I wish they had a red one that wasn't a Maul guy. I've been vocal about considering OCs the worst possible SW minifigs, but this would be a good way to "fix them"- including parts or prints that have some extra value in the SW community. Maybe we put Dev in a Jedi Survivor cosmetic or something. I've gotta go find all this concept art this all sounds excellent. Noooo! I don't think it's impossible- I know there were rumors they wanted to finish Jedi 3 before bringing him into the "new beyond" era/universe, but Jedi 3 has been in development for quite awhile now- IIRC we know they've been recording voicelines for literal years- and Ahsoka's just starting to film S2 now. I wouldn't be surprised if the Jedi 3 story had been written before Ahsoka S2's writing was done, and similarly that a Jedi 3 game could be out before Ahsoka S2. If we've got Jaxxon I imagine we see a number of the sillier ones- Mount Sorrow, Skippy the Jedi Droid, that sort of thing. Zero company trailer looks excellent. I want every single one of that squad as well as their ship. Very cool idea to have these guys be some sort of shadow ops/morally grey group, explaining why they aren't just made of clones and jedi and allowing for some interesting designs. -

Why would we include the actual star wars characters in these sets when we could include two OCs and what at best is a light side cad bane? That said if Sig gives us the orange lightsaber blade again all is forgiven for his figure, it could literally be a yellow smiley in the red shirt and blue pants and I wouldn't care. The Maul show set will be a $170 version Ventress's ship (A new one from her TBB one). Joking, of course. Maul's very popular, I think there's a good chance lego actually makes a number of sets for his show. It's Commander Bacara's Stinger Mantis from Fallen Order and I will not hear otherwise! You might just be right about that 2010 one, at least in terms of detail/size ratio. I think a neat way to solve this would just be making a $400 UCS Turbo Tank. Biggest and most detailed. That said, we probably have a ways to go for that, I'd assume the AT-TE would come first. Thrawn She calls to us. Across time, and space. Nothing can prevent our Journey. -
That would confirm his real name is Thunder, or at least it's his legal name as of the time he has kids- I think it is fun for the most out-there name to be the real one. As said above, I like the idea that Johnny Thunder, the fantastical name, is his real one, and he comes up with spectacularly bland aliases.

I can't believe they're finally making Commander Bacara's Stinger Mantis. I just wish they'd included a Greez figure to represent the scene where he sells it to Greez after order 66. But yes, as you say, all we seem to know are the figures and piece count. I wonder if this is coming from lego giving different sources different lists, and if so, if we're about to lose some leakers. Certainly whoever leaked the Falchion one is being hunted down by lego's anti-leak guy as we speak, there's no pleading coincidence on that one. -

Thank you! Glad to have you here, always good to see some new faces discussing said plastic. I assume from the profile picture you're excited to see the rumored new Cad in the hot rod snowspeeder? I can understand wanting that, but the design language would be so massively devolved from everything else on shelves that it'd require essentially reverting lego's detail level two decades across most themes to work. (Plus I mean at that point, just bricklink the parts for the 2005 version. I'm not generally a proponent of that, but this is a case where it makes sense to get the parts for the older set- wanting the older design style.) I know we'll get to $200 eventually, but personally I'd prefer Oh cool, this is me, right?* I think I'm the only one who's pushed back on the stuff being said here. Glad I got to see this one before it got taken down. *Given the level of discussion online, I feel like it's important to clarify that no, obviously I'm not a fascist- and given that that label is usually applied to people as further implication that they're the 1930s german windmill ones, I'll also note that in my real life I publicly spoke out against antisemitism at an institution I was in during a speech (This sounds a lot cooler than it was but I'm being intentionally vague given as people are getting increasingly ugly here, I'd like to ensure my real identity is not found), but it is fun to see the old "___ is fascism" on something like... economic tariffs. We've already been told to stop discussing this, but so long as we're doing it anyway and seeing as I just got my shiny new Badge of Being Called A Fascist For Disagreeing On An Unrelated Geopolitical Issue, I feel like it's important to point out that something "subtle and misleading" would be pretending Tariffs AREN'T a thing very many countries have had on eachother very consistently over centuries. Canada had ones on the US before this year. Many of the countries the US is tariffing are ones that had tariffs on the US. As someone else here pointed out, China and Australia are currently in a tariff-laden trade war. We've actively been told to shift the discussion off tariffs to all the celebration news, but I'm not gonna sit here and be the only one actually listening while other people pretend tariffs are some sort of new abnormal concept and not something countries have been doing to eachother for literal centuries and many civilized nations weren't actively doing to eachother even before this year. It was a Turbo Tank and now there's rumors it's a Falchion tank. As others have said, I think the best option is just waiting for lego to reveal it, given at this point it could just be a giant Freeco Speeder or something. -

I mean you can boil any character down to "did some stuff and died", so even in your version of events he's more interesting than the standard SW character given he dies multiple times. And I'd hardly call Ahsoka a standard teenager, nor would I say Maul was singularly focused on stopping her given he was ranting about Palpatine's plan and overall kind of scattered by that point in the fight. This is very interesting to me. Not only is it a first there, and unlike Ventress/Boba I doubt they'll try and make Maul a good guy, it feels like it'll be more mature than the animation typically is for SW. Obviously TCW and even rebels/bad batch had their darker moments (ironically many of those in the first two coming directly from maul), but a maul show feels like it'll have that as a baseline, not as just a few moments. Not to mention it's just as if not more obscure than the UT-AT, so at that point why isn't it the UT-AT, AND IIRC it's supposed to be a good deal smaller than an 830 piece, $150-160 set should be. I hope it's the CTT, just because anything else makes that PPP X-jet levels, just without the "X-men returning" "justification" (from lego's end, not an actual value end). The 2005 five tank, if the exact same thing was released today, would be that $150 price the 2025 one was, at 29 fewer pieces. We may trade some larger piece sizes for detail but they overall seem pretty consistent, and would you really want a 2025 set to have the detail of that 2005 one? The 2010 one is more detailed but would be $180 today off inflation alone. If we wanted to get it up to the 2025 standard for detail we'd be looking at a $200 set. Welcome! Yup, so long as you aren't sharing any leaked images or links to them, you're perfectly fine to discuss them in as much detail as you want. -

I didn't even know she was going to be in the game- Lucas really wanted her into the main saga's timeframe, huh? But yes, it'll probably just be Talon. I still haven't seen it on sale anywhere either. It's not even that they believe it will still sell, it appears to indeed still be selling. As War Games almost said, the only way to win is not to buy. Whatever the reason, if you think the price is too high, don't spend the money. -

I am glad he eventually removes the shirt- this is the best looking Thing we've seen onscreen now, somebody's just gotta spray-paint him orange. Norrin just has male pattern baldness or something. Yeah- I like most of these characters because I like their stories and designs, and when I think Silver Surfer, I think Alex Ross's Marvels, so I want a surfer that looks like that. I haven't seen much of that sort of reaction to her online, but if you think this is bad, you have no idea what rivals would do to both the male and female versions of these characters. They literally wrote in-game lore about Psylocke and Namor not being used to wearing normal amounts of clothes. And let me be clear- aside from that one emma frost skin, which I think goes too far, I'm all for the general "dial everything up to 11" strategy. These are superheroes- I know I could go to the gym and pound down protein shakes every day for the rest of my life and I wouldn't get close to punisher's wider-than-his-head tree trunk arms, and that's sort of the point, I don't want my superhero game looking like avengers 2020 where the heroes are closer to my physique and resultingly just look like they're wearing halloween costumes. It's possible, but I don't think we will. He could easily be brick-built and like you say not included as a "minifigure", so I could see him not having been noticed especially if the fig leaks were from the instructions like we saw with Thing, but at the same time I assume H.E.R.B.I.E. won't be participating in the combat and it'd be weird to have him just chilling in the background of a galactus fight on the box. -

I really hope it's new pirates and that Gosling's part of a planetary defense force or something rather than the Newnew republic. I won't write the movie off if it is- this could easily be the sequel trilogy's Clone Wars, what gets more people to like the era- but as lucasfilm clearly knows, this is going to be viewed as a Ryan Gosling movie more than anything else, and I'd like if it was set on some NON-DESERT backwater somewhere and more disconnected from the wider galaxy. Subtle Foreshadowing Cool that you get to see all this firsthand! I guarantee you it's gonna come out that either George asked them to do this or Filoni was inspired by George when he made the choice- this was one of his many iterations of his sequel trilogy. I don't have much of an attachment to Talon personally, but it'll be cool to see another legends character return to canon, and I'm happy for fans of the character. I know how I'd be feeling if they announced Mara or Karrde The Hand of Judgement. Dave Filoni woke up the other day with George Lucas sitting at the foot of his bed, crimson saber in hand. He was displeased with the current state of star wars- not nearly enough ant-man compared to what he wanted to do. So he presented him with a choice- do what Lucas wanted to before selling to disney, canonize Darth Talon in the main timeline- or choke on your aspirations. Filoni evidently chose the former. Maul show was a surprise- I was sure it'd be a Ventress or Hidden Path show, even after the Tales trailer released. Glad to see it's a Maul show, interesting that it's a villain show- the logo also doesn't scream "family show" to me, I wonder if we might be making a forey into TV-14 animation. -

With Ryan Gosling officially on board, this movie's more likely than anything but TMAG. You don't get a name that big for the lead actor and then drop the ball. I agree. Although, how can he be you when he's literally me? The only thing is, they didn't increase them to the upper end of what the tariffs are expected to be- in fact, they're significantly below the current tariff on mexico, which I believe is where most sets are coming from. It's possible they've just worked out a way to switch it up so all the sets coming to NA are the ones from Vietnam, but some of the price increases are below the Vietnam tariffs too, the transport cost would assumably be spiking if they're shipping stuff farther geographically, etc. -

We are so back. I'm just (ken) so excited to see him drive (2011) a starfighter in this new movie. Honestly was a bit worried the movie was going to get cancelled and they'd make Ryan Gosling The Fall Guy for not signing on. (Add blade runner reference.) I'm assuming this will be using some ideas from ROTNR and Rogue Squadron, they've been really wanting a starfighter project to work and I'm glad they both figured it out and cast Ryan Gosling. For the main character of a movie, I hope they'll give him a unique face print. I know we've been skimping on the new content, but the budget can't be THAT low for star wars sets, can it? -

Yeah I plan on making the same change for reed- honestly he's the movie character I'm most unsure on anyway I see the idea behind casting him, I can see how it could work, but I felt like there was something off, and with the last trailer I finally got it- he always sounds sad. You can play Reed as emotionless, you can play him as a goofy dad, but sad isn't a way I'd play him. I've resigned myself to no bigfig thing, but what I really need is for him to be orange and in boxer's trunks, not a sleeveless jumpsuit. I'm fine with it (and the voice, but just because I'm a fan of the actor from his roles in Punisher and The Bear) for the movie, but I want a comic Thing lego figure. I never realized Orion's torso was silver, always thought it was DBG. That part's added to my next BL order! The fantasticar is yet another situation where, as always, Rivals did it better. Hopefully 2026 sees some sets, maybe including the Fantasticar. Their suits wouldn't work as comic versions either (although they look awesome) but at least we'd have an orange Thing. And when I see Mon's speeder, I see Space Doc Hudson I am also just now realizing that the driver appears to be completely unable to see anything to his right. Assumably there's sensors or something but a very strange design choice to have half the windscreen opaque. -
This one could net us a ton of pretty obscure characters who lego DC hasn't released in a decade or more: 1. The Batman (Frank Miller TDKR suit) 2. Superman (Black Suit) 3. Wonder Woman 4. The Flash 5. Aquaman 6. Cyborg 7. Hal Jordan 8. Jon Stewart 9. Robin (Tim Drake ideally, but honestly any of them) 10. Red Hood 11. Bizarro 12. Artemis

Mandalorianknight replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
The leaks say none of them are normal minifigures so I'd assume he'll have the Ms. Marvel arms. I hope they do, but I also hope they make comic sets. We're getting the FF, but some of them don't really look like the comics- most should be fairly close or easy to make purist customs of, but Thing is pretty different. We're getting A silver surfer, but not The silver surfer. Even the fantasticar is notably different (I mean, it looks a lot better, but I just want my flying bathtub) -

Oh I absolutely hope lego has significantly less this year. It's how the market works- if sets don't sell as well, lego has to change it up. That said, that's assuming they correctly identify the issues with their sets. We all know that, for instance, they're gonna look at the shuttle they double priced and decide it's poor sales are due to being a sequel set. Welcome to eurobricks! Unfortunately, given inflation, the only options are more expensive sets, significantly underdetailed sets, or smaller sets. Unless we want to start getting $200+ retail sets, it is fair to say their hands are tied. IIRC Vietnam and Mexico are both in talks with the US right now. And unless something changed SUPER recently, I believe Vietnam was about ready to accept terms. Which is part of why I think these increases are at best hasty and at worst a stunt- offsetting for tariffs multiple months out when they've been changing fairly consistently is an odd choice. Even if you're the type of person/company who can't imagine a deal could be made, you'd assumably think there's a solid chance the tariffs are increased, in which case you'd want to up your prices a higher amount. And we all know that even if deals are reached with Vietnam and Mexico- even if they're reached with every country with lego factories- lego isn't going to LOWER their prices. I'll try to stay out of it but seeing as nobody else is heeding @MKJoshA's advice I'll just point out that a lot of people are assuming we didn't know what we were voting for. (Again given that nobody else seems to be listening to the mods) The media here switched pretty quickly from "will literally kill everyone" to "tariffs bad" after the election, so I feel like it's equally if not more plausible that the uptick was due to people who didn't vote, or voted for the other party, googling it after hearing about it on the news. Tariffs were pretty well known among the voting base for the winning candidate, I was working as a manufacturing engineer in the months leading up to the election and the floor workers talked about them a good deal. I heard North America as a whole, which if true, is another point in the "lego's just using this to raise prices wherever they can" because it's not like Mexico is tariffing itself or the sets make a U-turn across the border. -

I guess they know no adult is going to look at that and think it accurately captures K2SO, he looks like he's just been mentally scarred for life. 1 in a $70 set and one as the only fig in a set even more expensive- it'll be more affordable than it was, but I don't know if it'll be down to what most people would consider army-building levels. I could definitely see this guy going for $20-30 for awhile. Yeah that set is awful. I don't get why they make these if they can't get the heads to look alright- he looks almost drugged out. The bionicle figure of him from 2016 looks SIGNIFICANTLY better. -

Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
We are indeed not. Even the set for Skeleton Crew hasn't sold well, I doubt they'll go back afterwards and develop a set for the Acolyte when it can't even ride off the release of the show. Something like this could be nice, given how we get a jedi starfighter once or twice a year now. Would be a good way to get Fordo if we're still on the clone train. Though to be honest I'm not a fan of the color scheme, the grey is just too light. Lego doesn't seem to have a starfighter two-pack this year- I liked them. I recently put A-wing and B-wing and TIE advanced vs Y-wing in the list, but to make some more: Z-95 headhunter vs Vulture Droids: Headhunter (~500 pcs) and two (~200 piece each) vulture droids. Comes with Plo Koon, Commander Wolffe, two droidikas, and two Wolfpack Troopers. Black One vs First Order TIE Fighter: Poe Dameron, BB-8, Rey (TFA, lightsaber), Finn, Kylo Ren, and a First Order TIE pilot. The Phantom vs TIE Advanced X1: (Phantom One) with Hera Syndulla, C1-1OP, Ezra Bridger, the Grand Inquisitor, and Agent Kallus -

I know you already caught the spoiler thing but I just want to take this opportunity to mention that the andor set is marketed more than almost anything else on the planet I'd be OK with the may wave being all 18+ sets if 18+ sets didn't also take up half the other waves too... at this point I think we're closing in on a majority of the sets being 18+. Lego really said "let's test the waters for sequel sets with "kylo ren's blob with a mask printed on" and "$0.2 PPP with no figs" aimed at the demo least likely to like the sequels." There are definitely things the designers can be blamed for- that Kylo Ren helmet is literally just a black helmet with kylo ren's design printed on it- but I don't think the 18+ification is their fault. That reads 100% like lego execs seeing positive results on their "adults welcome" campaign and pushing their luck too far. Speaking of lego not making many sets for the new shows, Skeleton Crew's ship was $56 at walmart without a single copy having sold today. Got two copies and two friends of mine also went and got one and there's still a good amount left. -
