  1. The first two complaints are answered by the same statement- superhero content is pretty hit and miss so lego now does a lot more wait-and-see than frontloading stuff. I'm hoping we'll start seeing Rivals sets next year, and Superman depends on how well the movie does. Spider-verse was allegedly licensing issues, if you take the designer's statement about why the set we got was so overpriced at face value. As for the rest, they weren't that popular, lego doesn't have much of a profit motive to make sets for them. X-men 97's sets were virtually indistinguishable from what comic book X-men sets would be, and people had been asking for X-men sets for a decade, so they knew they'd do well. (Hence the disgusting X-jet price.) @Lego Nostalgia, they lay out the win conditions for a deadpool fig so I can now concretely tell you that the earliest he could possibly appear is a post-secret wars spoiler set.
  2. When has that ever stopped them before? I'm shocked we didn't get a $17 mech set that's just Grogu in an IG-12 suit.
  3. Absolutely not. Aside from all the leaks saying it was more like Arisham, the F4 set is the same cost as the busts but with three more figures. Even if you think lego would put out a galactus bust as a playset, they aren't gonna throw in 3 extra figs for the same price. Welcome to eurobricks fellow Moon Knight main! I believe that is what was being said about Galactus. Either that or incorrectly believing his successful movie would make BP as popular as the MCU made Iron Man. It... did not. He's certainly in one of the higher tiers of avengers, right after that cap/iron man/thor trio in the BW/Hawkeye/Ant-Man/Wasp tier, but he's not the next spider-man. And the combination of the actor's passing and the studio's "recasting is bad but only sometimes" refusal to keep T'Challa in the movies led to the wave of popularity he was gaining fading fast.
  4. *we get GL mech with re-used Batman and Joker figs*
  5. I ever see that bust for 20% or more off I'm snapping it up. I haven't been all that consciously aware of it, but the only sets larger than a battle pack I've bought from this theme since endgame have all been spider-man, which I just noticed. These are not a bad line, especially as far as the 18+ sublines go. I especially like the rotated base and the inclusion of a minifigure. If they just dropped the price down a bit I think these would do very well. (Spider-man, at least. Iron Man looks like he just ate a lemon)
  6. Love seeing these, excited to see the shuttle pod to round it all out.
  7. I don't know how big of a trend this is but I saw a ton of comments imperialposting ("take the L, long live the empire", "cope and seethe, rebel scum", that sort of thing) under one of the Andor TV spots and I thought that was a lot of fun. Glad that I can pass on what I have learned and @Swordy others If we're talking Rebel Y-wing, it would end up being THREE RFTs in between, unless people wanted to count the baby one in Yavin. I'll be fair enough to say much as I think it's important for the main OT vehicles to be on shelves, some of the main PT vehicles should too, but I'd hardly count the RFT as one. (IMO it's not as defined as the OT since there's just so many onscreen vehicles- the PT lacks the certainty of the TIE fighter or X-wing instead opting to put out a much larger number of vehicles with less individual screen time- but I'd say a Jedi Starfighter and Laarti should more or less always be availible- though with the Laarti in a falcon position where it's more of "if it does well it stays on shelves for half a decade" rather than getting a new gunship every three years- I'd put the AT-RT here too, not so much because of the vehicle itself but as it's an entry level clone vehicle.) Anyway point being I'm not opposed to the PT getting remade vehicles frequently, though I think for them due to the nature of the films it's more archtypes than specific models, but either way the RFT is a wild one to get two or potentially three models in between rebel Y-wings.
  8. I'm normally pretty rough on the busts but I'll be honest, I like the iron spider one. If it wasn't $60, I'd buy it, and even then while more than I'd pay $60 isn't the worst price in the world- I'd probably pay $50 for one of these if they did an outfit or character I had a particular affinity for. Iron man one just doesn't work, the head's all wrong, but the spider-man one is great, the head turned out really well. I think it looks much better than the full helmet set despite the much smaller size. Would love to see one for Moon Knight. They knock the price down 20% and pump out more on the iron spider quality, I'll start collecting the heroes I care about.
  9. This is actually an Avengers Doomsday set, where Ant-Man will travel to the star wars universe and enlarge the Tantive so it can fight back. He forgot to enlarge the occupants so nobody can control the ship and it crashes into Mos Eisley, tragically... The funny thing is I have seen people claim that the $1000 death star makes up for no other OT system sets, like 90% of lego star wars fans have a continuous 2ft sphere of shelf space and the down payment on a Toyota Camry lying around I don't think obscurity should necessarily stop a set from being made, if the UT-AT wasn't coming in the the clone bonanza year I wouldn't mind it, but "the bridge Ki-Adi Mundi dies on" is definitely testing that obscurity belief. Maybe there's a Republic Fighter Tank driving over it. Combined with the profile picture, this immediately made me think of "all you can tell me is that I will find Jabba... at Jabba's Palace?" It just showed up a few minutes ago on *shudders* the platform that sounds like Ribbit. (I feel like saying the platform name is probably allowed, but I'm unreasonably proud of "the one that sounds like ribbit")
  10. Yeah that's nothing. It's an easter egg. Really doesn't improve the set quality IMO, it's still a very strange choice for a set. I believe we did, just most of us are the same as you here so it didn't really get discussed. Solid build, though.
  11. I mean sure, if it does well enough and there's spoiler material. IIRC the only movies to get spoiler sets that close afterwards were Endgame and No Way Home. All depends on how much info disney gives Lego, how much of the movie lego wants to cover, and how well it does. Three new figures, one with a new mold, for '97's second year? With stuff like the sunspot torso leaking that far out? 100% Fake. I'm sure doombots will be the CGI villain army, but the QR suits weren't really there for spoiler reasons- we'd seen a good chunk of the endgame suits well before release. I think that was more of a cost saving measure or part of how marvel overall did a big marketing push with those suits.
  12. Hear me out it's a Tales of the Underworld set with an occupier and the lawman Duros from the trailer, who was interpreted as "light side cad bane", then again interpreted into "jedi cad bane" (Obviously it's most likely the Tiny Tank with Jedi Bane and two random OCs, but it is funny that you can even work a duros into the concept.) Look I'm all for obscure vehicles, I'm not upset we're getting the UT-AT (Though it should be in a different wave and not stacked up with a bunch of other clone sets- either do variety or commit to representing one scene/battle), but it is pretty obscure, and it's not really a valid comparison to claim a $150 set is the same thing as a GWP. Sandspeeder came out of nowhere and made zero sense even at the time. I think we still don't now how or why that happened.
  13. Not sure where this is coming from. IIRC ninjago's already had it's 2026 set numbers leak, and it still seems to be pretty popular. I never got any monkey kid sets, but they always had unique designs, it's sad to see the theme go.
  14. This is, of course, if you think that leak is reliable. When you combine the fact that most vague "it's somewhere from X-Y figure" leaks end up either being the lowermost number or just lower than the range given, with DC's staggeringly low budget and overall lack of figures able to be re-used, I think it's pretty likely that we get fewer figures. You have a higher opinion of lego DC than I do.
  15. I don't think he legitimately meant that lego was afraid of showing a rock man's bare (rocky) torso, I assume it was more about the fact that we haven't yet seen First Steps' thing shirtless, so if he's wearing a shirt for most of the movie it'd track that the set would include a shirted thing. At this point, all I'm allowing myself to expect is Doom. If we get Marsden Cyclops, John Walker, or Thunderbolts Ghost, I'll be very happy, but I'm not going to permit myself to believe we will. I could easily see the wave being the replacement avengers and an army of outriders doombots.
  16. Yeah that's my bad my source was @CloneCommando99 saying the $70 and $100 sets were mando movie and I just assumed it meant the others might not be. People definitely complain a fair bit about Filoni too, especially here(A lot of people dislike how he tends to put the characters he created front-and-center in a lot of stuff. There are situations where I think it's fine but I certainly am starting to agree with some projects) but it's also important to note that the Filoni projects tend to be more well received. (Except Ahsoka, which I personally loved, but again, criticism about Ahsoka is usually aimed at Filoni.)
  17. The topic's alluded to in Dune as well, and that got a set. Eternals straight up had a sex scene (obviously not the same, but assumably more explicit than anything Andor would actually show, especially at a TV-14 rating) and it got sets. Regardless, I can't imagine lego would have been informed in advance about something like that. At the end of the day we've known for years that the difference between making a set or not is if the project is PG-13 vs R, TV-14 vs TV-MA . As for the wider thing this conversation's been had a billion times here- I personally don't think the Rey movie releases, or at least that whatever Rey movie ends up happening will have been ship-of-theseused to the point the only remaining part is Daisy Ridley's Rey, but whether or not that happens we aren't getting sets anytime soon, so it's not really relevant. I can't remember anywhere specific but I do think a 2025 release date was at least speculated at some point. Regardless, with all the development troubles we won't be seeing sets anytime soon. I thought we'd had two set numbers and prices, one $70 and one $100, but I may have been wrong on that so take it with a grain of salt. As for the rest, IIRC it's adapted from early plans for a fourth season, yes. And lego definitely has plenty of material to go off of given that us fans have seen footage and trades have reported a number of characters and actors- lego assumably has more information and concept art than we do. Yes. This is the only other SW film I'm personally confident in, since the lack of development news can easily be attributed to Filoni's efforts being focused on Ahsoka S2.
  18. I doubt it. Mando and Grogu's had footage shown off forever ago, as well as a number of publicized castings and trade reports on characters. The average person who reads the trades (and takes a peek at a trailer meant for conventions) would know about 4-5 vehicles, a location set piece, and a number of characters Rebel/NR, Imperial, and underworld for months now, which means Lego CERTAINLY has been given all that in concept art. Not to mention that Mando's been chugging along for years no with no reports of behind-the-scenes issues whereas we can assume doomsday's script, characters, and plot have been through the ringer between the Kang change awhile back and even more recent stuff like the cast list not having as much overlap as you'd expect with the leaked concept art from a month or two ago (not that that confirms anything, it's possible we just got a set of concept art mainly featuring characters who didn't later get shown off in the cast stream, but it's still notable. I think only one of the five featured characters who's names were on those chairs.) If there's an April wave, maybe, but I doubt it'd be May sets. I know they've played it close to release with the endgame sets, but day-of would be a crazy move for lego. It seems like Arkham may have taken it's spot. It's disappointing that there's no Marvel one this year, but at the same time I wouldn't mind them building up more of a figure base for a comic avengers or spider-man D2C.
  19. I thought somebody said the ones with prices attached ($70 set and $100 set) were the Mando Movie ones, but maybe it was someone here speculating and not a leaker saying it. It's not impossible, but I'd be surprised if they split the wave in half like that. Especially since, like you said, it's a movie and not a show.
  20. I can't understand why lego isn't flooding the market with star wars sets like that in the vein of the $10 marvel ones. I can't imagine lego pays significantly more for the SW license than the marvel one, and there are so many options for little $10 sets with two figs! In the future sets thread awhile back I literally listed an option for almost every onscreen project- between small vehicles, duels, and bits of terrain (Ach-to or Dagobah training, that sort of thing), they could put out 3 per wave for years and still not run into remakes or obscure ones. Ok, so it might be double the number of playsets, which is good. Still concerning the Mando Movie doesn't seem to be getting a wave, but double the number of system sets is a big win either way.
  21. I've resigned myeslf to no bigfig and wasn't planning on getting the set, but if thing can Clobber em in the classic style (especially if he's got dual molding for the boxing trunks) it might push me back around to buying it. I've been maining him in Rivals and it's really upped my appreciation for the character to here him say stuff like "don't tell my wife I'm here (in a cross-timeline brawl), she thinks I'm getting groceries" or charge into battle shouting "This is why I'm aunt Petunia's favorite nephew!" While the Star Wars list could also be incomplete, it's implied it only has two sets for the Mando Movie. If they're willing to give a new STAR WARS film only two sets, I'd 100% believe an avengers movie was getting cut to 2-3 sets.
  22. We'll see. I'd love to be proven wrong. A solid Arkham set with Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Harleen, two guards, and 6-9 inmates could start to turn it around. Sure, it's just that at this point a minifig scale set with a fair PPP in DC is "absurdly good" in my mind.
  23. That's weird, my uncle's girlfriend's pet rock's cousin's acquaintance's ex-barber's criminal case witness's roommate's wife's boyfriend (who works at nintendo) told me it was only gonna be 2 like 2025. I still can't get behind '97- partially just because I struggle with Art from Artist sometimes- but if it gets us more classic comic X-men, I'm all for it. I never found a good deal on the X-jet and I still want my Cyclops, not to mention I'd love to see affordable versions of Jean and Gambit. My hope for 2026 is, as always, that we get some nice comic based spidey or avengers sets with more classical comic designs and/or more street level heroes, or Rivals sets. C'mon lego. Daredevil, Scarlet Spider, Moon Knight, Luna Snow. (I'm gonna throw Punisher in there too- Jon Bernthal literally rewriting his lines in Born Again to make them better fit Punisher has me enjoying the character a lot. When an actor cares about the character that much, it shows in the final product, which in turn makes me like the character more.)
  24. Instructions unclear, are we dunking on Acolyte again? (You can't ignore the difference of people here saying they're glad snyder fans are "melting down" versus just saying Acolyte was bad or whatever. Saying a project is terrible is one thing, saying you're happy the fans of the project are upset is another. There's a difference between opinion and Schadenfreude.) To get back on topic, the PPP for Arkham should be a good thing, but I refuse to believe that DC's actually putting out a good set. My money's still on a microscale one with the figures being, like, Batman and Jonkler.
  25. And that's a big thing people are forgetting- if that's all of 1HY, assuming a mech, a battle pack, and a microfighter, it's the same amount of standard system playsets as 2025's 1HY Part of my want for a wave is that I always liked the Force Fridays, even if I'd only get one or two sets each one, and I would have loved a Mando Monday event with a big wave of sets. But I also think the movie does have a lot to offer- 1. Most of the remakes do have something new to offer -This one's personal bias since I've just had the idea in my head for awhile but I really do think an accurately sized AT-RT with mando and grogu for $13 would sell crazy well. -This one's also moreso personal bias on my part, but I thought the N-1 we got was significantly oversized and not great. A smaller one as part of a two-pack with a new imperial fighter such as a TIE outland could be a lot of fun -It's been 6 years since our last AT-AT and Crest, and they could both use updates IMO, bolstered by having different figure selections- the crest could include a VERY desirable fig who currently goes for almost $100 undamaged on the secondhand market. 2. We don't know much about the plot, but we do know about a scene that could make a great location playset with a fun and unique buildable character.
