  1. If they're focusing now on Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman like they said in that announcement, my guess is it'll just be another universe's flash, so I guess somewhere in between recast and forgetting the character. We'll probably still have a Barry Allen in the next justice league, just not *this* Barry Allen. And yeah, it's nuts. I'd go even further: The man doesn't just need therapy, he needs jail time, at least if what he's being accused of is true. If this was some random, non-famous guy, it'd be an 30+ years for multiple counts of assault, kidnapping, etc. Ezra Miller on the way to commit every crime possible.
  2. Very nice. I like his plant.
  3. Why have the $500 set announcement when we have FaMiLy? *the rocktms off a cliff and punches through a concrete wall as an allegedly nonpowered character* I think that's just how the printing works. If you look it's on the bottom left too (just a little harder to see since it's not supposed to be bronze on the bottom left), it's just hard to print by those handles.
  4. .....We will almost certainly not, unless in flashbacks. Gah, I hate everything about the mods. Fennec's cybernetics didn't bother me until they did the mod stuff, as I always assumed he just did some basic first aid on the blaster shot and just... got her to an actual hospital eventually. Their dumb scooters, the fact boba takes them in, just everything about them. That said Drash and a scooter are totally going to be a side build if there's another TBOBF set coming.
  5. Star wars tends to get them around thanksgiving (late november for those not in the states), and since it's another lucasfilm property, maybe then? On the other hand, we already have detailed descriptions for these sets, and we don't even know the names of any SW january sets. So they might be releasing earlier.
  6. I wouldn't mind a giant quinjet, but I would not be a fan of another helicarrier. I know it's been awhile since the last one, but there are so many MCU UCS sets you can make that would do well, not just the helicarrier! You fool! The standard $120 mosaics have an average of 3500.444 pieces. This gives us an average PPP of $0.0343. The world map, a larger, $250 mosaic in the same style, has 11695 pieces, with a PPP of $0.0214. From this, we get 14,577 pieces if we go off the standard mosaics, and 27,454 pieces if we create a graph using both price points to see how as the price of the mosaic increases, PPP goes down. Now, the World Map does not have a licensing fee, unlike every single $120 set, so the true PPP would likely be slightly higher, putting out total piece count somewhere in the middle. However, my initial research missed a solution to this problem: the Floral Display. (I'm also going to mention here that we're not counting the rolling stone set, as it uses a lot of parts that aren't 1x1 studs or mosaic backboards) This unlicensed mosaic allows us to re-do our graph for solely unlicensed sets, getting us a potential $500 set of around 24,673 pieces. We can then look at the difference between the licensed $120 sets and the hypothetical unlicensed one at 4946 pieces. That's an estimated average licensing fee of... 30.23%. Wow. Since this is totally how lego accounts for licensing costs, and because every company/estate they work with totally gives them the same fee, we can apply this to our graph and get a $500 licensed mosaic at 17461pieces. 17461 divided by 23 is approximately 759, so clearly we're going to get ~759 piece movie poster mosaics of every film in the infinity saga.
  7. I think people were saying multiple new york buildings, not just the tower. Still doesn't sound like a good $500 set idea to me- I think it could work as a $70-90 diorama, but definately not as a $500 set- but they don't just mean a scaled down avengers tower.
  8. OP is counting the bricktober ones with the wrong helmets. Technically, since the new helmet comes in black in the mickey and minnie set, you could make a new black CS spaceman, but it'd be very expensive.
  9. I almost wonder if something like Wrecker/Paz Vizla's armor would work here, some new mold combining the chestplate and fur. It really makes those SW characters look like "big guys", but not monstrous or inhumanly large like the axl mold or a bigfig. Sometimes you just need a little extra bulk, and since M'Baku is just a large man, I think it would work. Though of course, it'd require a new mold.
  10. So... is it marvel? Do we know that for sure now, since they're clarifying some things?
  11. Would be nice, but I don't know if they'd do that. No i meant in the set.
  12. Like @Anonknee Muss says, they could just replace Ezra Miller's Flash with someone else. It feels weird to argue that they shouldn't release a movie/set tie in because of one of the actors, because I'm normally against that, but the standard stuff people argue that for pale in comparison to "Main actor is literally on the run from the cops and has committed a variety of felonies." That's what I think they'll do. Swap Flash for a repeat joker or even just a comics flash.
  13. What are the two other classic space sets you're pretending you got? The Alt Builds of 10497? It seems like the leakers know what the $500 set is and say info's coming sooner rather than later. They don't sound very excited about it... I think it's gonna be a sub-par marvel set.
  14. Can you tell us if it's marvel, if possible? microscale new york city. No, wait. $500 build of Morbius's face. No wait, that'd be an amazing set. giant Arc Reactor No, wait. The hulkbuster again, but bigger. No, wait. Tony's ego No, wait. Ego the living planet No, wait...
  15. Do people not like the hogwarts express? The only complaint I've seen is that they threw in 2 random students instead of epilogue Ron and Hermione Jeez. I mean, I wouldn't put it past them, but at the same time, I think a life-sized cap's shield would be more than $500. That'd be almost 5 square feet (0.46 square meters) of brick, and unlike, say, the mosiacs, there'd be a lot more complexity with the build, what with the round edges, round stripes, and concavity.
  16. It is just such an odd choice. Like you say, even if the justifier was in S2, there's no reason for it to be this big. I mean, the Havoc marauder had ~150 pieces of side builds, and it was only $100. And that's the main ship of the show! It can't even fit a full squad of 5. When the villain ship that's on screen for maybe a few minutes has a set 58% larger than the MAIN HERO SHIP, you know something's gone wrong. (Since they're both around the same size in canon. I'm not saying Luke's X-wing should be a more expensive set than Slave 1) It looks no better to me as a mold. I mean, it looks better from the side than it does from the front, but that's not exactly a saving grace to it. If I want to display Kuill, I don't want to have his neck snapped at a 90 degree angle.
  17. I disagree. I don't think someone would buy the set FOR iron man and spider-man, but I think more people will buy the set if they know/like the characters more. For example, an adult who doesn't have any of the 6-12 sets (which is a demographic lego's really been leaning into recently) would probably be at least a little more likely to pick up a copy of the sanctum as something to put on their shelf or desk if it's got two of the most popular marvel characters than if it had... who was suggested instead, America Chavez?, who is... not one of the most popular marvel characters by any means. You gotta remember that the "adults who might be inclined to buy a large lego set" group and the afol group are not the same.
  18. Batman VS Harley Quinn was officially revealed. Such a great set. You can really tell where the budget went for this theme, we got an entire new print and new recolor. This may be our only real set of the year (Unless you count the batman sets, which were made for 2021 but delayed just a bit into 2022), but the value is incredible! Two figures, a skateboard, and a motorcycle for only $10! You can really tell all the effort they put into making this set not just great for the target 6-12 demographic, but adult fans as well! But actually, if the $500 set isn't DC, this has to be the most depressing year for any theme ever. (Aside from a theme being cancelled). At least the bionicle starz had new molds.
  19. Eh. It's a different spider-man suit, and from a sales perspectice Spider-Man and Iron man are much more popular than Ameriza Chavez. A $200+ set based on an upcoming film is a big risk for lego (especially considering that the film didn't have the greatest reception), so tying it to one of the most popular movies of all time and including new updates to some of the most popular characters is probably a good call.
  20. So the AT-TE really was just delayed in North America. Even Australia had them! (allegedly, it's out of stock on the lego AU website) I received the fall lego catalog and it specifically says about the justifier set that "fans can role-play star wars: the bad batch season 2 scenes". Just thought that was an odd tidbit. The lego catalogs definately aren't error-free, but it is weird that they specifically say season 2 (despite the figure setup and features clearly being based on 1x9). If it does show up in season 2, and lego knew about it beforehand, that would definately make the decision to produce the set more logical.
  21. I'd love to see it. Maybe he could be settling a dispute between the white and red astronauts about how they both laundered their suits at the same time and now the white astronaut is pink.
  22. How could we have missed this! I hate that I also immediately thought of this.
  23. No. You see, the very scientific reason I want the red ones to be engineers is that I'm an engineer, and my favorite color is red. Clearly, this means everyone has to agree that engineers are red spacemen. Maybe HR can be beige spacemen!
  24. All I'm saying is whether or not that BP fig actually is supposed to have the shuri head and hair, it's not abundantly clear that the shuri fig in the other sets is NOT in her black panther suit.
  25. The sun crusher is the morbius of ships. Take that as you will. Excellent additions as always. You've got almost every ship I can think of, and then some. Have you done the Darksaber or World Devastators yet? It might be time to just go through wookiepedia and comb through every ship in star wars.
