  2. Odd, the "Ex" seems to have deleted it, but someone graciously sent me another person with it. A college student or something, definately a fan of "uni" versity "bricks". Torso is a bit rough, but I have to agree with @Legocity2713 that it's the best set of the year. This assumably means they're producing the set, right? I wonder if they'll make it a generic DC set and pretend it's not based on the flash, or if they, like the rest of the world, have just conveniently forgotten about all this guy's crimes. (Seriously, this is like my hill to die on now. People have done much, much less to get excommunicated from hollywood forever, but Ezra Miller does an any% geneva convention speedrun and they're still gonna finish the movie?)
  3. I hate this "only top 9 posts" thing. Anyone want to give me a hint as to which account's got it?
  4. You mean like physical production? Because we've seen prelims in catalogues for sets more than 3 months out fairly regularly. Not to mention that we already know about the may 2023 star wars sets....
  5. Man, I love daredevil. I was always aware of the comics character and thought he was cool, but the netflix series made him my favorite superhero. Unfortunately, as a result of the series' maturity, it seems unlikely that we'll get any sets based on Netflix Daredevil. So I made my own: Hell's Kitchen. 3225 pieces (3088 not including figures and their accessories) Here it is without the figures cluttering it up: And around the back: The set combines three different locations into one modular: Fogwell's Gym, Nelson and Murdock, and Matt's apartment. Here are some interior shots: Fogwell's gym: Here you can see the boxing ring, a cabinet where boxing gloves are held, and a small bench, as well as stairs to Nelson and Murdock on the other side. (Those 2x3 tiles would be printed posters) And here's Nelson and Murdock. There's a desk in the main area, as well as Matt's office with a bookshelf and his braille paper machine. Another angle, where we can see a coffee machine and a familiar painting. Matt's apartment, with the couch, chairs, carpet, stairs to the roof, his cabinet where he keeps the suit, and the get well soon balloon. Another angle, showing the bit of kitchen I squeezed in, as well as a hallway with studs on the wall so daredevil can be placed in a hallway fight. I managed to fit Matt's bedroom under the stairs as well, even if it's pretty much just a bed. And here's the chest where he keeps his gear. Figuring out how to fit the chest in a cabinet without making the cabinet massive was really tricky, and 6x3 still feels a bit big, but it's like the absolute minimum for holding that chest in there. Here are some approximations of the figures: Bottom Row, L-R: Matt Murdock with cane, The Devil of Hell's Kitchen with billy clubs, Daredevil with billy clubs, Karen Page with pen, Foggy Nelson with coffee and alternate hair/head for his season 3 look, Claire with syringe and mask, Brett Mahoney with pistol. Row 2, L-R: Kingpin, Vanessa, Leland Owsley with suitcase, The Russian with gun, Melvin Potter with buzzsaw and hammer, Ben Urich with a book, Father Lantom with teacup. Row 3, L-R: Frank Castle with guns, Electra Natchios with sai, Stick with stick, Nobu with flail, Ray Nadeem with gun, Dex with gun, James Wesley with suitcase. Row 4, L-R: Fisk goon with bat, Fisk Goon with gun, Hand ninja with sword, Hand ninja with bow. In the spoiler below are images of some specific scenes. No major spoilers, it's really just for space: Let me know what you think!
  6. tBoBF in general is devoid of key moments, the show's disappointing. I'd say go for it, it's still impactful in season 2 at least.
  7. -makes best vignette in contest -wins -makes two subsequent vignettes of equal if not increasing quality Love these, you should do the door at the end of season 2 next! Or the gate when we first see Ahsoka, that's kind of a door.
  8. Forgot about that one. I do hope we get it, though doing Krennic's instead was a good call IMO. Yeah, the Hulkbuster looks so weird and elongated. The Hulkbuster is getting rightly torn apart, but I feel like the BP bust has just been forgotten about. It's tied for the second most expensive marvel set EVER and looks about as odd as the hulkbuster in some places.
  9. Alright, the time has come. I've decided my next MOC wave will be a Rogue One wave releasing Dec 16 for the anniversary. Here's the template, your suggestions are welcome, even if it's changing something I've already written down. (especially since i wrote this pretty hastily) small GWP: Death Star plans Larger GWP: ??? Microfighters: Imperial Hovertank ($9.99): Hovertank pilot U-wing remake ($9.99): U-wing pilot TIE Reaper vs blue squadron X-wing ($19.99): Death Trooper and Antoc Merrick Battle Packs: Scarif Rebel battle pack ($14.99): 2x scarif rebel (pot helmet), 1x scarif rebel (fleet style helmet), 1x scarif rebel (hoth style helmet). Build is ??? Shoretrooper battle pack ($14.99): 2x shoretrooper, 1x stormtrooper, 1x shoretrooper squad leader. Build is a small bit of landing pad with a crate and an E-web. Duel: Citadel Tower Showdown ($19.99): Scarif antenna dish and catwalk with the thing to reset alignment. Comes with Jyn Erso and Director Krennic. Standard sets: ??? ($30-35) ??? ($40-60) (Ideally one of the three includes Chirrut) ??? ($60-160) Hovertank ambush ($69.99): larger Hovertank and building facades with a function for the hovertank's side to "explode". Comes with Jyn Erso, 1x partisan, Saw Guerrera, 3x hovertank pilot, and 1x stormtrooper TIE Reaper ($99.99): TIE Reaper with 1x TIE pilot, 6x death trooper, and Baze Malbus. U-wing ($109.99+): Larger, correct cockpit U-wing with 2x U-wing pilot, Bistan (short legs), Jyn Erso, tan shirt Cassian, Bodhi Rook, and K-2SO Quote sets: ??? ($60-80 range) Vader's Rage ($79.99): Tantive IV hallway with Darth Vader and 5x rebel troopers, ending in the door. Qoute is ???
  10. That's the highest praise I think one can get for MOCs. It truly does mean a lot to me. Here's my answer, I'm sorry for how long it is, and that it might not be quite what you wanted. As for part files, I'll send you every part file for free if you PM me an email to send them to. Instructions, though... they do take time to put together. So here's what I'll do. Anyone who asks gets free part files for the mechs, bat-cycle set, and we'll throw in the boat set too. If there's demand, I'll produce instructions for the Batmobile, Batwing, and Batcave, as well as a Batman Collection containing every bat-vehicle's instructions (and the cave). I would like to charge a little for instructions if possible, as they do take extra effort, but nothing crazy. I'll check similar part counts on rebrickable and I think we can come up with a fair price (again, if there's demand. I don't want to pressure anyone to buy this stuff). No problem, you'll see Tim soon in wave 2! Here's my current "schedule" so to speak for projects. It's a little ambitious considering my classes, but we'll see : End of October/very early November - finishing my Daredevil modular building. I've got the building done, I'm just trying to add prints as I think it'll really add to the build. Dec16 - release of Rouge One 6th anniversary wave. (collecting suggestions now!) Late January/Early February (maybe even march to coincide with Fury of the Gods): DC moc wave 2: The Brick Knight Returns
  11. Yeah, same. It's very nicely made, but it really doesn't feel star wars to me at all. The propellors, the curves, the engine... it really just feels like a WW2 fighter craft that's been scrambled a bit.
  12. What? We're missing the AT-ACT and TIE Reaper at least, right? I agree about a jedha location set, and I think we could also get a blue squadron x-wing or hammerhead corvette if they want to mix things up. Not to mention a shoretrooper battle pack or remakes of some of the 8yr old sets like the U-wing and Hovertank. My point was more so that as a movie, I think it'd be more likely than rebels remakes (without Ahsoka boosting their popularity). With ahsoka, you're probably right. Without delving into leaks or anything, Ezra and Sabine have been officially cast, so we should be good there. (Also, Hayden was officially added to the cast, that's nuts)
  13. *maniacal laugh* Good for you that you've got an opportunity to get them cheaper. I'd wait a couple months, I personally think they could get as low as $20 within the next year, but definately buy them before it retires. While I hope we will, Clone wars is MUCH more popular than rebels, and most of the clone wars stuff we've had recently was from the recent Season 7. Every once in awhile we get a super obscure set like the Azure Angel, Sandspeeder, or Purple Clones tank, but it's rare. I think we'll see RO and Solo sets before any rebels stuff resurfaces. That said, we do have a chance with all the Ahsoka stuff making it more prominent. If not a tie-in to rebels, then at the very least we'll get updated figure designs from the ahsoka show for the characters that appear.
  14. didn't they re-use an overwatch head from the cancelled set?
  15. Fun fact: As someone who owned that Gozanti (And still has the helmet), it's not even her pink S1 helmet, but a dark red helmet. One of the issues with Sabine is how frequently her look changes, but it'd be nice to have S1 and S4 variants at least. Lego has been making some dumb choices as a whole lately (Poorly selling stuff like vidiyo, camp nou, queer eye, as well as such decisions as the awful marvel D2Cs this year and only having 1 DC system set-a 4+ set no less-this year), but SW has largely been safe. My guess is 2023 will bring us: MAY D2C: UCS AT-ST, or a smaller UCS X-wing 2HY D2C: MBS Endor, or a MBS Death Star remake
  16. Thanks! The reason I chose to have the robin be Dick rather than Tim is because my logic was first wave-first robin. The next wave has a Nightwing figure and a Tim Drake robin. (And a red hood, but I mean, Jason is pretty much only known as Red Hood now) Thank you! The batmobile is definately my favorite part. And...wow, GLtAS. You've unlocked a hidden memory, I completely forgot about that but now I remember watching it as a kid, I think I had the mcdonald's toys for it. Maybe I'll squeeze Razer into one of the sets in the next wave, if there's space.
  17. TONS of polybags have exclusive figures. Most of my lego knowledge is star wars (we've had exclusive polybags of a first order general, Revan, Yularan, a chrome stormtrooper, and a lot more). I don't think marvel gets as many figure polybags in general, but aside from the video game ones, we had two minifigure hulk polybags that were exclusive, didn't we? And the rocket raccoon one.
  18. Love the new spider-man trailer. Kang looks good, I'm glad they found a way to let the blue face exist in some form. There are so many figs we need though, and while I would say Ant-Man, Wasp, and Kang are all pretty likely, I'm worried we won't see Cassie, and there's no way we get the ant-grandparents.
  19. Thank you, the Suwantek is my favorite of the mocs as well. And Task Force 99 is a riff off the Bad Batch. Something about Poetry and rhyming, I think. (or just lazy writing ). I think without the enhancements, and if they tried for a more andor-like tone, it could be different enough, but I do see the similarity in "small group of troopers defect from the empire, simply going on the run at first before finding purpose.".
  20. There is an EXCELLENT moc by @Wurger49 that combines two of them: I finally built my copy of the marauder while on break from college, and I have to say, it's a WEIRD set. The figs are great and the vehicle itself is surprisingly fun, but it's assembly feels so odd with how the sponsons are attached and just the build in general. Edit: To clarify, I'm talking about the official set, not Wurger's mod. I don't have two marauders.
  21. Wait, hold on. So the upcoming set can't be compared to any set that didn't release last year, or one of the closest-in-price sets that did? You have to understand how that sounds. Also, war on the water is also $10 cheaper than the quinjet, and has a good number of large pieces (not that it's at all worth $90). Look, I'm not saying it's 100% going to happen, but you can't act like there isn't precedent.
  22. I dunno. The iron man armory was $90 and had 8 figures with at least 11 new figure prints (Maybe 15, I didn't check to see if the mk3 and mk85 had new torso and leg prints). Say we needed new torso prints for everyone, that's 6. Give a couple of them leg printing and helmet printing for iron man, we're still under 11. Granted, that set was pretty overpriced. How about avengers tower, with 8 new figure prints for $90? Or the AOU quinjet, which had 10 new printed figure parts for $80? (Now granted, that'd be $100 today). Or the original Sanctum Sanctorum, which had 8 new figure prints and a new bigfig for $100? Super Hero Airport Battle had 8 new figure prints for $80 (again, about $100 now due to inflation). War on the Water has at least 8 new figure prints for $90. The newer compound had 7 new figure prints and a bigfig for $80. The original Hall of Armor had 9 new figure prints for $60. (Edit: And for all of those I'm only counting figure parts that were only in that set at the time. So Namor's parts don't count towards War on the Water, for instance.) I'm not saying it's definately going to happen, especially considering the Hulk bigfig, but it's definately not unprecedented.
  23. The Razor Crest was almost certainly pre-planned, but I'm just being a prick by pointing that out since other sets like the Brickheadz were rushed out. Though I would say the answer is no. Black Adam's box office is not bad, but nothing nearly as crazy as the mandalorian's success (obviously not box office, but you get it). Unlike Baby Yoda, which dominated pop culture for years, the most I've heard about black adam pop-culture wise is people meming on "The hiearchy of power in the dc universe is about to change" or saying "It's black adaming time". Especially given how risk-averse lego has become with DC, I can't see them deciding that it's worth it to develop a set for a movie that'll have been out for a loooong time before they can make it. (Especially since such a set would likely require new molds. Hawkman's are gone by now, and they'd need a Doctor Fate helm.)
  24. Same. There are still bits I like (Spider-Man, Moon Knight, Daredevil, Shang-Chi, and the sort of midnight sons portion of the universe), but most of the recent stuff just doesn't interest me. I'd definately be more interested in legacy stuff. Oh, and another thing I've started doing is just making sets for the properties I like that I know we won't get sets of. I've done 2/3 floors of a Daredevil modular building so far. $100 sets regularly have 6 or more figures. A quinjet with the OG 6, Loki, and a chitauri doesn't seem unrealistic.
  25. Overall, figure prices for a set that sells poorly (and henceforth is more likely to go on sale) are lower than if that same figure was in a more desirable set of the same cost. Therefore, a figure is likely going to cheaper and easier to get if he's from a bad set that sells poorly, as opposed to being more expensive if he's from a bestselling set.
