I hope we'd see something for the spiderverse sequels, but lego doesn't do much for animated films. Hopefully given how successful it was they'll do Beyond the Spider-Verse sets, but given the delays for the movie I feel like we'd have heard about them by now. I suppose it's possible the Miles in the Morbius set is a BTSV miles. Oh, and NWH sets would be great. TASM3 is still just rumored, I think, but even if it's real it'd be like a late 2024/early 2025 release at the earliest. No way they get it made by this 2HY 2023 gap we've got. Same with Spider-Man 4. One Above All buster. It's nuts. Semi-related, I tried to get a smash bros ideas set made back in may/june, but apparently it's not allowed because nintendo doesn't own every involved IP. I asked support if a set would work if it only contained first-party nintendo characters (No pokemon, for instance), and they kinda just left a non-answer. Might be that they didn't want to look into it...but it could mean something.

Fun fact: The batboat and batmobile designs are about 8 months old, and from when I WAS making a legacy wave. I did scrap it eventually but maybe I'll start working on it again. Thanks! Yeah, I really like the batmobile. I get what you mean about an invisible mech, but, well, see for yourself I dunno, I just think it looks weird. Too many pieces that don't come in trans-clear.

Thank you! I dunno. I wanted Bane to be the main villain, and riddler felt like he fit the cell I designed best. Maybe Batgirl or Spoiler, I feel like an additional figure wouldn't be super unrealistic. I think lego's honestly just worried to put out anything DC, but even then, Batman and Joker mechs seem like a no brainer. I have a TON more ideas lined up though. I posted it back in the DC thread but next wave's mechs would be Flash, Superman, and Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner, since he likes making mech constructs anyway) Thanks! No. The set comes with a fully functional time stone, that's why it's so expensive, and why the release window is like that. 2HY 2023 is my best bet. Especially now that the film schedule opened like that. Between the assumed maturity/tone of Blade and the fact that I can't think of any builds they could realistically do for it, I feel like we'll most likely just see a movie-inspired Blade and villain in a spider-man set around that time.

I've said for awhile that they would make an EXCELLENT disney+ series, especially now that you don't have to fully cut the luke/han/leia storyline with the advances in CG. I do have another wave I just released, this one for batman sets if anyone's interested. DC doesn't get much love from lego nowadays so I thought I'd try my hand. And any suggestions for the general theme of my next wave are appreciated. Right now I'm thinking of taking a bit of a break, then doing a rogue one wave to coincide with the anniversary of the film. In the past, I've done waves based on the siege of mandalore, The Mandalorian, rebel/empire vehicles and starfighters, and SW video games.

What's happening to DC lego sets, man? In a way, we've had ONE system DC set this year (depending on where you live, the batman sets may have released in 2021 for you), and even that was a $10 4+ set featuring repeat batman and the most overrated character known to man. So, uh, I did it myself. My constraints for this wave were as follows, to ensure it would be something lego could realistically do: Standard wave type: I can't make 15 sets at $100+. For this one, I chose 3 gimmick sets (the mechs) and 5 system sets. Iconicity: Basically, the sets have to be batman focused (Excluding the mechs. Even lego wouldn't release a wave of 3 batman mechs) The reason being that that seems to be the only character left that sells all that well among kids, due to the state of DC movies over the past 10 years compared to the Avenger's success (personally I think the franchises movie popularity is about to swap with the new DC plan and Marvel's new quantity-over-quality approach, but time will tell) For each set, I also only used existing pieces in existing colors for the builds. That's not the case for the figures, since bricklink doesn't have too many prints. I will try to explain any situations where prints would be used, as well as what the figures would look like. Now that I've rambled for a paragraph, let's get started with the mech sets: Additional images and descriptions for each set are in spoilers for space, but do not actually contain spoilers for anything. I just want another lego daredevil, preferably in a set under $350. I don't even like the gold on the suit (I like comic accuracy, but some things don't fit their characters anymore. Batman doesn't go around in a bright blue cowl anymore. I think the show should have should have either make a joke about DD not realizing his suit had gold on it, or explained it was to disguise DD so it wouldn't be as obvious that he and Matt Murdock both went to LA at the same time.), but I'd buy anything daredevil related. I liked the qoute sets, so here's some more: Iron Man is born ($49.99): Build of the terrorist cave with a box of scraps. Comes with the MK1 and 2 ten rings terrorists. Daredevil ($79.99): (spoilers for Daredevil season 3) Ragnorak ($69.99): Thor, lightning coming off him, on the rainbow bridge in front of a microscale asgard. Yeah, but like... the molds already exist, don't they? Rocket raccoon's not exactly a big fig, I can't imagine he's that much more expensive to produce than a standard figure. I have no idea why this doesn't already exist, so I'd be glad if they finally made it. (I know that the reason the parts don't exist in other colors is alleged issues with the strength of other colors, but I can't see that part being under any more stress than the other ones)

Neither have I, is Morbius in fortnite? I know every other fictional character is. This might be bias, because I am NOT fond of fortnite, but I can't see this doing well. Not as popular as it used to be, aimed at adults (who seem to be past it now) rather than kids, and one minifigure? I thought the appeal of fortnite was all the crazy characters, not the architectural marvel that is "bus with a balloon on top"

I don't think so. For one thing, we're already getting a thanos mech. It'd be weird to have 2 thanos mechs in the same wave. For another, while popular, I don't think that lego would make a set based off a single (and somewhat dark) comic run from a few years back rather than the more iconic standard ghost rider bike. Which I suppose reminds me, it's probably not Robbie either if it's a bike, since he's got the car.

I almost wonder... we know they aren't doing a full wave for this theme right off the bat, just starting out with the brickheadz and D2C. We also know they want to make lego DnD in some form, and the ideas contest description seems to imply more DnD is potentially coming than just the ideas set. All this is to say, given the similarities between the two IPs... could they be setting them against eachother, sort of like the old spongebob/avatar thing they did in 2006, where they release a few sets for each theme and the better-selling one continues? I can't really see them putting both themes on shelves at the same time. (Either way, I think and hope LOTR would win)

NWH non-fans vs Everett Ross Enjoyers I agree with some of your points (unfinished CGI, etc), but I do have two rebuttals: Putting new friends in danger: Yeah, he'll get new ones eventually, but he probably thinks he won't, to keep people safe. Why is sandman working with goblin: He's not. They say in the movie here's there and fighting so he can get the box to send himself home. Electro's there to destroy the box so they can't go home. Goblin is just there bc it's goblinin time. They aren't working together, they just all happen to want to get the box and the spider-men are protecting it.

Though I wasn't informed of my diagnosis until I was 17, so I'm high-functioning to the point I feel bad saying I've got it sometimes, because I've met and worked with people with far more severe autism than me. Huh. I think you're the first person I've seen even just online who isn't a fan of NWH. Not making fun, just interesting. You prefer it'd be focused solely on MCU peter? (Again, not trying to argue it, that's a legitimate criticism I could see even though personally I loved the other spideys) I dunno. I didn't like TFATWS (aside from my idea that the cap mantle should be a team of people as part of a "no one can be steve rogers" type beat, I thought the story was weirdly disjointed and that Sam's speech at the end is kinda dumb. I can see it as sort of a "Sam hasn't been through steve's arc in WS/CW" type thing, but that clearly wasn't the intent.), and I don't like sam as much as I did in Civil War (peak Sam IMO), but I suppose there is potential for NWO. My biggest fears right now are that it's a Hulk movie, and that they chicken out and cut Sabra. I'm gonna be that guy and annoyingly remind you that the hydra stomper exists, though the fact you forgot it is a pretty solid statement on the quality of the set. Even then, I don't think the X-mansion would sell great just now. I'd say the best bet is either when X'men 97 comes out to hit em with the nostalgia or when the MCU does x-men. EDIT: I am a "Grand Duke" now. Fear me.

Yeah, it's just too small for anything to work well, I think. Maybe a heart shaped piece, to try and have the seperate wings, or just a 1x1 round tile. Any ideas for a mon mothma? Both Andor and ROTJ versions.

Honestly I think you're good man. A bit of cursory research seems to suggest it's not widely considered super inappropriate (certainly not the the extent of deleting the word itself from posts, jeez). Your original post was worded kinda confusingly, but it's clear you weren't trying to make fun of people with autism or buckled legs. But yeah no idea how they'd make a guy with autism visually. We generally look pretty normal. I'm not super big on "every condition/disability/etc needs to be in lego", but it's nice that we have wheelchairs and crutches now. One thing I would like to see is, now that armor wars is a movie (and as such more likely to get sets), a Colonel Rhodes figure with side leg printing of his leg supports.

Wait, hold on. You want sets for TFATWS and liked the Eternals ones, but you don't want sets for NWH or Moon Knight? As for the second part, mostly the same. The only announced projects I'm interested in after this are Guardians 3 and Born Again, and even then I won't buy the sets for guardians 3. NWO could be interesting but seeing as marvel's already turning it into a hulk movie, I don't have high hopes.

Yeah...I've always just used standard heads, not sure how it'd look different. I suppose they mean people who's mental conditions impact their facial expression/features, but I don't think I've ever seen someone with autism with their facial features changed. This seems a bit of an overreaction to me. Are we really making crippled a -word? Really? For buckled legs, I suppose side leg printing could work. Though I admit I am curious as to how you think people with autism look.

Honestly this is me 100%. I really haven't liked this phase in general, as I think most of the movies and shows have been bad (Shang-Chi and Loki were good), but for every couple bad shows or movies, there's a NWH, Moon Knight, or Werewolf by Night. It really speaks volumes that some of these characters have 6-9 episodes with them as the focus, or an entire movie, and I either couldn't care less or actively disliked them, but in less than an hour they made it so I can't wait to see more of Jack, Ted, and Elsa. My only worry set-wise is that the show really isn't for kids (how the hell did they get away with TV-14? It's not really scary, but it's VERY violent.), and we can't really get Ted in a CMF. Maybe it's possible that we'd get them in a future Midnight Sons set.
