LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don't think she knows about any physical figs, but I think it's much more likely that she saw the skywalker saga DLC or something than that she was making a joke about lego's company practices. Unless it says somewhere else in the interview that she's a big lego fan or something, but I think I'd remember hearing that. Agreed. Like someone said in another thread, a B2EMO statue is also a likely possibility. That speeder is screaming for a battle pack, too. And you say that about the marvel shows, but one of them had a scene with the main cast, a truck, AND a helicopter and marvel somehow didn't do a set, despite how much the superheroes theme loves random trucks and helicopters. -

it's a mini battle/figure pack. Weapon rack, Star-Lord, Groot, and Cosmo. -

What IS this set, man? $10 lego sets for licensed themes are basically nothing anymore with inflation, I mean it's like a microfighter is the most you can get. I'm really interested to see what this is. -

We do not have deals this good here. GOTG calender is $36 (sad, if it was $21 in the US i'd buy it), no shang chi deals, only real marvel deals are on brick sketches and eternals. That said, am I buying the venom figure pack for $12? You bet Steve Ditko I am. Update: They have an excellent deal where you can get up to $20 in VIP coupons for much cheaper point-wise than normal, so I got the venom figure pack, another $15ish set, and $14 of pick a brick parts for only $20. -

It's sloane. Well, I should clarify. Regardless of what it says on the box, if it's a white uniform, it's sloane. If it's a gray uniform (and yes I know she did wear a gray uniform around that time but it's not what she's known for) my guess is it was just a random imp officer originally and then they decided to say it was sloane. Oh, and @BrickBob Studpants, they did have a new trooper variant after all. I'm so torn on whether or not that guy is the "hero of his own story" or just a grade A creepo. -

Yup. Loved the finale, and I would love more sets given how lackluster the existing one is. I hope if we do get her, we get her overcoat. -
So now we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Brown spacemen are Caretakers/instructors. Updated list: White: Pilot, Red: Engineering, Blue: Security, Yellow: Communications, Black: Base Command, Orange: Fleet Admiral, Green: Mining/Resource Acquisition, Pink: Pilot who accidentally put his clothes in the wash at the same time as red, LBG: roboticist/electrical systems, Purple: medical, Brown: instructor/caretaker

Welp, I love this series a LOT more than standard CMF series. Definately buying at least 2 brown spacemen (who are now clearly designated as spacemen instructors or caretakers, if anyone remembers that topic from a couple months back about which colors designated which roles). I think this is my buy list: If in bags-meaning I'm able to figure out which is which-I'll buy 2 brown spacemen, a "space warrior" for the parts, and at least 2 falcon knights. I liked the idea of the Orc, but he looks a little chima-y for me. If in the stupid boxes, I'll just bricklink 2 of the spacemen.

I read this in the godzilla "let them fight" voice. I'd love this. I've been saying since even before the movie that a $500 NWH final battle set off the liberty parlance would be the new lego death star in terms of being, like, the set, but system sets would be nice if for no other reason than I could actually buy them! That's my guess. A 4+ GOTG "headquarters" set with star-lord and cosmo or something. Main character and merch bait character. I'm interested as to why you think there is only one spaceship in guardians of the galaxy 3. (As others have said, the bowie is probably the more expensive set) -
Fondor Haulcraft - where’s the MOCS?
Mandalorianknight replied to LDigital's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Oh, it's beautiful. I'd order parts to build one IRL, though I'm sure the cost would be immense for such a massive craft. (Jokes aside, it's a very nice rendition at that scale, though the colors may be a bit off.) But yeah, as others have said the reason we don't have one yet is because people can't slightly modify and recolor their existing N-1 sets/mocs to make the mando N-1 moc. They have to make a full on moc about the size of a flagship set for a wave. -

Given that she's talking about her nephew, it's possible her nephew showed her the skywalker saga DLC, but a physical minifigure is also a definite possibility. it shows up in some junior novel or something about the millennium falcon, but in terms of "real" canon, yeah. (I've long mantained that the junior novels and stuff like resistance and forces of destiny are in-universe media aimed at kids, hence the more childlike dialogue and plotlines) -

Yeah, maybe. The TIE shuttle has inverted wings half the time it shows up so I always get it mixed around. -

That would be pretty funny. (The boarding craft is in ESB too, so having Vader in the set would still make sense!) I assume it's meant to look like a repurposed TIE bomber. Budget or whatever, they just hollowed one out and put seats in it. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Very exciting, it's supposed to come with a baby blue spaceman as well. (A baby spaceman in blue, not a spaceman in the color baby blue) Ironically my lego ideas project features a brown spaceman as an "exciting new variant"... Guess I'll have to change that for it's eventual resubmission. -

Christmas present. I'm keeping expectations low. I'll say ant-man, wasp, and Kang, and even then I'm not super confident we get a modok build. -
Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion

Both would be awesome D2Cs. I've been rereading the trilogy right now and there aren't many locations that just stick out to me as single $500 sets besides Gondor. Places like Moria, Helm's Deep, and Lothlorien would be excellent sets, but I couldn't see them doing $500. So I think there is a chance that it's something like what others have said, a series of dioramas of the locations. Lego's good at keeping some things secret. Star Wars D2Cs can be secret until just a month or so before release (And then sometimes we hear about the landspeeder just absurdly long before it releases). That said, it could still totally be may, but I wouldn't be surprised with something like a March release. -

Indiana Jones is in deadpool 3? Glad to hear they're taking the movie seriously. I hope we see a trailer soon, though. I feel like this movie's been in development for AGES. -

But the cartoon shows and animated movies were for very different audiences. Even some of the slightly more obscure stuff like Justice League Action or Batman Unlimited used to be around (I mantain that the 2018 justice league sets were at least partially based on the justice league action thing) and for kids, whereas the animated movies are either R or a hard PG-13. Also, nice list, solid placements. Glad to see Clowney staying at the bottom. And even then, I don't think Riddler was even IN beware the batman. Or Flash. It was pretty much just the Batmobile design. -

But we've never had sets for those animated films. Like, never. We didn't get ones for the animated universe movies Marvel did either. -
Uh, nice, but what does it have to do with this topic?

I mean, the figure isn't fully the figure, so it might have a neck bracket on the back. The one in the picture is missing the visor and definately won't come with two silver pistols. -

I was hesitant to post anything on it because the first guy to post the image hasn't leaked anything before, but it does look pretty legitimate. If it's not the heavy's torso, it's a pretty darn good imitation. The torso itself is fine. Nothing special or super detailed, but pretty nice. Hence why I'm inclined to think it's legitimate. I'm never happy. And I will never be happy unless they make a lego Fondor Haulcraft. And bring back bionicle. -

They have helmets -
I think that's to hide. Like Firestar toys does, where it's "blind lawyer" instead of Matt Murdock, or "superhero kid" instead of Invincible. Harder for disney's IP bounty hunters to find.

Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I've still got my money on Indiana Jones and the Race against Time. If time-travel really is involved, the name is just perfect. But here are some other possibilities: Indiana Jones and the Fountain of Youth -potential artifact Indiana Jones and the End of the Line -since it's the last one Indiana Jones and the Secret of the Chronal Bell -die glocke rumors Indiana Jones and the Last Ride -alternate for since it's the last one, though I prefer End of the Line.
