  1. - Mixels was a great theme. - City is way to repetitive - I am not a fan of licensed themes
  2. Yep, that is correct. It would be quite a few years before we will start using the euro.
  3. I honestly agree with you, @pooda. I am tired of so many police and fire sets that take no effort to bring something new to the table. Just the same fire and police station we have gotten 20 times already. Plus all those weird Police subthemes have gotten kinda stupid at this point... (I am looking at you, Sky Police). No, but they are a pretty big target. Do you think kids can really afford all those insanely expensive Direct to Consumer sets?
  4. So I recently got the summer 2019 LEGO catalogue, and I was very surprised to discover that the prices for the sets weren't shown in it anymore. Just the set number, the names of the sets, and the age rating, without showing any prices. Why did they do this? And is this only with my local catalogue, or did it also happen elsewhere?
  5. Not really unpopular. But have actually even tried all that stuff you don't care about? I can almost guarantee that you will find at least something you will enjoy in there if you take a more in-depth look. Glad I am not the only one who shares that opinion.
  6. I can't agree more. In fact, I don't think they should have even made it in the first place. Plus the fact that it seems to be warming the shelfs... (at least in my area)'
  7. I am glad I am not the only one who thinks so... Everytime I walk into a LEGO store, I just don't find anything appealing to me. That is why I stopped buying the new sets, and now I focus mostly on older ones.
  8. - The Endgame sets are a complete joke. - Chima and Nexo Knights are good themes. - Minifigures are overvalued. - The CMFs have become worse and worse over time. - Star Wars is overrated. - I don't mind specialized parts. Trying to find smart usages for them can be challenging, but it can lead to amazing results. - I don't like the Brickheadz.
  9. Agreed. Yes! Finally someone who admits it! Though I would agree it's a pretty overrated set, I really like all the references hidden in it. I can't agree more. Honestly, it was probably one of my least favorite Ninjago waves. I never liked the look of studded Technic to be honest... it sticks out a but too much. Is that even an unpopular opinion? I loved those. Yep, am totally with you on this one.
  10. A topic to share any opinion you have that isn't very popular with the rest of the community. What LEGO set or theme do you like but everyone else hates? What set or theme do you hate but everyone else loves? Share all your unpopular opinions about this (or about LEGO in general)
  11. I usually just search for spare parts bulks on ebay, or if there are any specific parts I need for a MOC, I just buy them from Bricklink.
  12. I can't agree more. Same here. I mean I can sort of understand why they would do Minions, but Trolls is definitely a rather weird choice. Honesty, I don't think they have really learned from the disaster Angry Birds got into. Is there really any proof that story themes don't sell?
  13. Trolls and Minions are very unnecessary themes that people didn't really wanted. So it's no wander they want them to be discontinued already. Plus the fact that they would probably be 4+ sets aimed at very young kids, having no appeal whatsoever to AFOLs.
  14. The early 2000's would probably be the golden era for me. Pretty much all my favourite themes came out during this time, and it's the era where I feel LEGO peaked at it's very best. And It's also the LEGO era I am currently most invested into.
  15. Nice website. It's nice to see you showcase those old sets that people may have forgotten about.
  16. Well, I guess some people understand how LEGO's marketing works better than I do, so I guess I got my answer I was looking for.
  17. This has been discussed in this podcast right here, starting from roughly 22:00. I don't know if this would count as a "source" but it's the best I can offer you.
  18. I would hesitate to say that to be honest. I don't know about you, but in my experience, I don't see kids talking about Batman that much. Sure, every kid recognizes Batman, but I am not sure if they really are that obsessed with him. But hey, I could be wrong. Isn't it obvious? How I said earlier, Batman is now all over the place in LEGO, and all the other DC Super Heroes tend to be just used as side characters. Why doesn't Superman get the amount of sets and attention as Batman does, for example? He isn't anything less popular than Batman is.
  19. Yeah, but how would you explain the fact that all this fatigue for this character started very recently?... Like in 2012 or something, though it wasn't truly ignited until the LEGO Batman movie came out. Yes, we had the 2006-2008 LEGO Batman theme, but that barley even invested a lot in as far as I can tell, and it only lasted two years, which by Batman standards seems very strange.
  20. I can't help but notice that LEGO has had a some sort of fatigue for the character of Batman as of lately. Ever since the LEGO Batman movie, I feel like Batman has been all over the place. Two Batman CMFs with another rumored one in 2020, a tone of Direct to DVD Batman movies with even more coming up, a ridiculously important role in the LEGO Movie 2 (seriously, am I the only one who found the fact that he had to marry Queen Watevra as kinda a weird chioce?) And of course, pretty much all the DC sets are about Batman, with all the other famous DC characters being there just to help him. And a whole 4+ Juniors subtheme dedicated to Batman only. I find it weird that they invest so ridiculously much in DC and this character especially when it's obvious that Marvel is far popular right now than DC ever was. What do you think of this? And why do you think LEGO is so obsessed with this specific character?
  21. The Midak Skyblaster. It looks cool, it shoots very effectively, it can be loaded with up to 4 zamors, and it reloads automatically after each shot.
  22. He has showed it here: http://board.ttvchannel.com/t/a-lovely-day-with-princess-neona/49810
  23. Lol, my brother has already used the spinner piece as a dress in one of his MOCs before you...
