This. Hogwarts Legacy was a huge success and the, didn't do any sets. I want a maximal historische class with ghost teacher...

I see the characters as a part of that to be honest. If I was a non-Afol parent standing in Front of the Lego boxes and saw the new potions classroom as it is, I'd take it with me asap and watch the movie with my kids before building it. If it was published under the new show's logo, but the set was the same including figures looking like the old actors, I'd do so, too. I have no interest in modern remakes, have no emotional investment and do not intend to watch them at some point...

Well, another reason might be that parents are relevant for the final buying decision. I am from the generation old enough to be parents but with childhood memories about the theme. I grew up with the original movies, went to the cinema with a wizard hat as a kid, played the original PC game... In fact my first video game at all... build the first lego Potter Sets under the christmas tree. I could not care less about Rowling, but I am nostalgic about the old movies so I would be willing to spend much more on a potions class room with a design that looks like the one I grew up with.

It will be interesting to see the big tower... Any Chance it could include Fluffy? Like 3 years, 3 big hogwarts sets, 3 big figs/creatures (Troll, Fluffy Basilisk?)

I see it that way: I bricklinked the best parts of 2 Castle lines, because the sets were not good enough in my opinion as a big display model, and now I get "the most detailed Hogwarts ever" with mostly pathetic minifigs I will replace with the old ones (like Flittwick). It will be stupidly expensive but gorgeous.

I have to admit I regret buying the great hall now... I was very hyped after the boat house, potions class and Hagrid's hut... the Hall by itself is ok at best... and this new wave is just lazy with incredibly weak minifigures ridiculously overpriced too small sets :/

To be honest i am pretty disappointed. Lockhards torso is ok-ish... I do not need more Harrys, Dracos and Snapes. Snapes printed arms will be usefull at some point. I hope the tiles are printed at least. Otherwise I'll bricklink Lockhard and build it from my own pieces with custom printed ones. Flittwicks class room is just bad... I adored Snapes Portion class. It was very clever how it folds up smoothly. I expected this here, too. Also stickers... and pathetic minifigures. There should have been at least a new mould for Flittwick with his special beard and bald head. I guess, i'll skip it and build something myself. Malfoy Manor is irrelevant to me as a building. I just want a pretty Hogwarts. At least I get a new version of Dobby as another house elf for the kitchen. Maybe I'll bricklink Lunas Hair piece to upgrade her minifig... I have a really bad feeling. I hope the flying lesson will be better.

I love that we get a new Dobby face and torso. I will integrale him in my Hogwarts kitchen as another random house elf :)

I doubt it is possible to do that because of the way they made the Hagrid´s minifigure. If they wanted to, they would have to make a new mould for a sitting Hagrid.

I am very surprised. I was sure they made the legless runner in the last cmf with Hiccups leg in mind. Lots of the characters would not work as minifigures without highly specialised parts, so I did not expect them, but Hiccup would be perfect with one of those artificial legs, a neat print and for example the hair of Rex from tlm2.

The dress is a bit too much in my opinion. The new build a minifig witch Outfit Workshops perfectly with other hands and head. I'll combine it with the Wicked hatpiece.

Ok, I can see Lego do this... it would save them moulding money and force fans, who want them to look the same way, buy 3... I'm sold. I want those now xD

What do you think? a second hairpiece for Prof. Sprout without ear protection is highly unlikely, isn't it? Do we know, if the wands from the olivanders set are specific wands from certain characters?

What Version of Mad eye do you prefer? I am not sure, if the classroom book one or the cmf one is more accurate...

They are good enough for a-list, too. It is not possible to tell the difference except for the resin print material of the heads feeling slightly different This. Modeling them in Blender is a chore. It is also cheaper to buy them from Lego.

My customs are pretty much like original Lego, so I don't want Moe, Skinner, Lenny, Carl, Quimbi, Üter, Kirk, Louanne, Sideshow Bob, Barney, Doris or Otto to be released. I'd like to see the Bullies, Lionel Hutz, Chalmers and other c-list characters

Just opened my latest bricklink order. I love the new young face prints for Padma/Pavati (two happy faces let me use one expression for each of them :) ) and Cho. The new wand elements rock and I just adore thise printed 1x1 chocolate frog card tiles... it's those details that bring me lots of joy. Do you think we can expect more young faces? I really dislike the clone faces for Ginny, Susan bones, Daphne and so on xD

Would be a great Upgrade for sure. With the Simpsons we got dual moulded arms back in 2014... I'd wish we got new movable shorts legs now.

I know what you mean. I am glad I only bought the cute little Aragog-set a few years ago and limited my purchases besides that to the best special pieces like printed books, some cmfs, especially pretty versions of characters, animal moulds and so on. It will be interesting how large the most detailed Hogwarts will be in the end. From the preview in the instruction I expect it being about three times as large as the new great hall set in the end.

Are there even rumors about a cmf? Good list, when it comes to what characters fans want. I made Skinner, Moe, Barney, Otto, Bob, Quimbi, Lenny and Carl by myself. I doubt a cmf will happen like that. I am 100% sure we won´t ever get Lovejoy in a religious outfit and I just can´t see Lego doing more than 12 characters with the boxes and prices to be honest. At least not for the Simpsons, which lost much of their appeal the last years. D&D2 or something similar maybe. If we get Otto, Cherry and Terry, I strongly assume it will be in a set, where Otto is clearly in the role of the bus driver. Putting the same figure twice in the series with different accessory would not make much sense. Moulding different heads for different expressions would be too much effort for the twins. Putting just one of them into the box and tell fans to get 2 would feel strange, too. I can also not come up with an idea for interesting accessory for the twins.

I´ll take that one, too, to be honest... The stud on top of the bald head bothers me at the exsting version^^´ Do we know which of the new wands from the olivander store is meant wor wich character? The snake one is Lucius Malfoys, but in wrong colours, isn´t it?

To be honest I just want one perfect version of each character. Dumbledore with Fawkes from the cmf is that to me.^^ I'd wish we get a better Flitwick with bald hair-beard-Combo.

I can not imagine it being the house. The original was a genius product of it´s time. It was a basic house for those who do not like the Simpsons and ok in details at it‘s time for licence fans. A remake without 2 rows of wall would suck for licenced fans. A house with pink inside would suck for fans of generic buildings. Most fans will have the Family allready. For 220€ i‘d also expect less that wie got 2014
