I just heard on Youtube one of the new batmobilles is going to be a batman and Robin one. Do we already know about the figures? :D Schwarzenegger Freeze would be a dream come true for me.

The thing is that the old seasons were something very special. They put a bunch of really good writers in one room with a salary, so they interacted with each other and build jokes sometimes with 7 steps where joke 1's punchline is the setup for joke 2... build into a story that had often very emotional moments (like "do it for her"). It was collaborative art. You won't find anything with such a high amount of gags in a product - and I say product to describe these results of soulless corporate productionons on purpose - where writers send in gags, you pay them 50$, if you use one of them, and one dude mashes those into one loosely connected sequence of sceenes they call an episode in the end.

Especially, if we look at the target demographic. I don´t want to be mean, but the Disney Simpsons suck. There are whole episodes not including a single joke with setup and punchline. All the "best of"-Youtube Videos are rightfully consisting of 99% material from before the first movie. From my experience as a teacher some kids like the show from those youtube clips but do not watch the new seasons. Some old fans are still watching it to know, what happens to the characters... or just complain about the decreasing quality after suffering through it similar to parts of the Star Wars fanbase. At this point I think a movie is irrelevant. Most people love the old stuff or do not care about the show at all. On the other hand we know Lego is a company. I can see them doing a new series with a few new characters and a lot of repeats in different outfits.

What do you guys think? Could we get the same thing several times? Like the sorcerer´s stone boat house, which will retire now, remade in a few years as the deadly hollows one? I think it is hard to believe that the whole castle ist about the first two movies and then we have the room of requirement and owlery in between.

I don't know. A gingerbread war tank and evtl villain in a cute Christmas outfit are hilarious in my opinion. I do not feel like this about Harry Potter.

It will be interesting to see how Pomfrey and Pince will look like. In my opinion they were perfect last time.

I expect a book with a stickered tile. If we don't get the bloody baron officially: captain salazars legs and torso from pirates of the carribean 5, the grey and white Detektive's head from the cmf and captain hook's hat and hair combo (needs painting) look pretty perfect.

Oh, the new Advent calendar has a new face for young Blaze Zabini :D

Oh, boy... that would be dissapointing. Myrtle in grey with printed legs would be really cool, but the Baron is much more important. I'd like a set with the horntale able to grab on the tower. It could include the prefects bathroom, defence against the dark art... the raven claw common room...

One thought I had: Pretty much everybody expects the next big castle expansion to be the chamber of secrets with the basilisk (the new big creature after Fluffy and the troll), the slytherin Common room (After Gryffindor and Hufflepuff) and with the bloody baron as the new house ghost after Nick and the fat Friar. If Lego makes a last big expansion with Ravenclaw - what could be the new big creature? What could be the new teachers in both expansions?

From an AFOL perspective for sure. As a kid I would have adored the cute builds. The potions would have offered a lot of play value to me playing with friends.

Hm... A thing I thought about: are we sure we will get a new modular castle series with the tv series? I could imagine lego to just let Modules go off shelves and release new ones with interior for later movies.

Would this threat also be the right place to discuss modifications for the current castle system? I have to say I really dislike the Gryffindor common room in the main tower after mocing the hufflepuff one conpletely. I wound a way to include the background pictures from the older house banner sets in modular common rooms, which is incompaticle with havind the Common room in the second floor next to the Main tower... I thought about removing Fluffy, but I like him being placed above the devils snare... it would be cool to work with others on possible modifications. I already made a bunch of improvements on the great hall.

It may sound pessimistic, but isn't this the standard for Lego? The best McGonagall is from the boathouse play set. The best Dumbledore with printed hat from the cmf. Bellatrix came in Gringotts with her most beautifull dress, but really needs the cmf face or better the expensive very old one. Lucius malfoy's new torso works great with printed legs, but his yellow hair sucks and the old faceprint is a must... and some figures just suck because of cheap budget decisions like Professor Vectror with the cartoonish Witch hat instead of a required recolour of the cmf12-princess hat... Since Wall-E I had no perfect Set that didn't require me to fix any flaws...

Bloody Baron and some obscure teachers/ghosts. I hope we get 2 more big castle expexpansions with a house ghost and a new teacher each. The last important thing would be Medium legs printed house robes for the other three houses.

I am not sure. I have both of them. The house is a product of it's time. It was a closed up house. People bought it and sold off the figures, if they were no Simpsons fans. For legos standard in terms of detail it was fine for fans with tan walls on the inside. If lego wants to make a good simpson house today, they need to make it with 2 rows of bricks, so it is pink on the inside. I think it would be too expensive or suck per se. Also the Afols, who are not into simpsons would probably dislike the colour on the inside. The kwik-e-mart is perfect to ths day except for the use of stickers. The krusty burger had 10.000 ideal votes twice. The old fans did not have it, the new fans did not have it. Average Afols without interest in the show could use a cute fast food restaurant selling off the figs. For a save quick cash grab I would have put it out, too and give us the Comic book store next.

I could see them doing the Androids dungeon with 3 new kids.

I just hope for more "most detailed hogwarts castle"-expensions to be honest. I am seriously worried they will end it 2026 incomplete.
